yes i've always hated smelling of smoke, and my throat hurting the morning after and i've always known it's the smoke. yes people under 35 ARE gonna care because in general people are finally waking up to healthier lifestyles these days, even if that is only changing certain small things. smoking is one thing a lot of people are cutting outta their lives and it's about time the government realised non-smokers enjoy a drink too.
-
cool. yeh there should on the spot fines and stuff... although that never caught on with the littering thing, shame really as alongside chewing gum cigarette butts are the worst offenders for littering our streets.
-
precisely. there should be designated smoking areas, not non-smoking areas, it's simply unfair. this new ban is just and fair imo, and about time.

anyone seen the 118 188 directory enquiries advert on tv? the one where they do their own (inspired) take on the a-team? well, if you look at the name of the restaurant at the end, what do you see? it's called "King Koopa's"!! it's not even hidden, it's right there, unmissable! pretty cool, our recent discussion about nintendo's subliminal messages may not have taken this into consideration hehe

hmm... i know i've only ever had to wait a few weeks for anything i've ordered, including the nintendogs t that they said could take a while to come. give it a week more and if no joyous package arrives it would do no harm emailling them again.

some film series handle it brilliantly, bond and spiderman spring to mind, and personally i loved the third terminator movie as it brought the story full circle and i loved the ending! it felt like a true progression rather than a cash-in of the same-old-stuff. comedy films like rush hour do a good job of progressing by making a lot of jokes that fans of the first film only would get, progressing such jokes throughout the (hopefully) series, a bit like lethal weapon does with it's "I'm getting too old for this shit" lines however, i can not stand movies that throw out all the same old stuff time and time again.. and ironically, i also hate movies that change TOO much between films. the first bad boys for example was a very character-driven movie with hilarious dialogue and a very naturalistic approach by the actors amongst all the usual explosions and action. the second movie did away with all the charm and just made a no-brainer action movie that sucked! and in much the same way, i praised the bond franchise as they DO progress when you watch them in sequence, and they take chances now and again (like licence to kill), but the most recent one, die another day was awful as it was (like bb2) just a no-brainer action movie trying to compete with the other films of the day instead of just getting on with being a bond movie.

"smoke nazis", "jumping on the bandwagon", "poeple who've never considered it shouldn't argue against it" - what a load of rubbish, i'm sorry but it has to be said you're acting like victims. you chose to smoke, if you wana inhale toxins into your own body that's fine, but you have no right to inflict it on others. passive smoking kills, it's a proven fact. faz99, is the smoking ban in ireland just in pubs and clubs? or is it any public place, like even outside on the public street like it is in new york? and why should non-smokers be made to stay away from pubs? like i said you chose to start smoking, there should be smoking bars and outside designated smoking areas in non-smoking bars, keeps everyone happy. and if there's a group of friends made up of both parties then work it out amongst yourselves, each to their own and all that but people who wana breath in fresh air like we were born to do have the right to go wherever they want without passive smoking if they so please. a ban should be put on "smoke breaks" in the work place too! a lot of places don't allow them already and you can only smoke on your designated breaks, but the offices in the railway allow their workers to take as many as they want. so smokers get to work less for the same pay... now THAT's unfair.

oops, sorry. well nice find nintendork
-
hey that's a cool mock-up nintendork and let's remember that the controller will be so much more than another analogue stick. think full 3d-space mouse with added giros! ooo.... hurry up 2006 and get to your winter!!!!
-
ooooooo... very knight rider!!! cool idea :D :D if i wasn't so set on a white one i'd go for that too! i think i'm going for a white one, with four controllers all different colours.
-
even tho i wana white revo i really like the black box, and the last one is cool but too expensive to make irregular boxes like that do you think we'll get different colours at launch with different bundles? like mario 128 and a white revo? metroid with black?
-
nintendork is right, if we get a new IP right up there with the likes of mario, mario kart etc i'll be over the moon!

Zelda delayed to Autumn and Rev confirmed for 2006
knightendo replied to penic99's topic in Nintendo Gaming
with so many games publishers rushing out mediocre crap for deadlines, repect goes to nintendo for wishing to finish the game properly. they know all GCN owners will buy the game, they have no reason to rush out an unfinished product. i fully expect LOZ:TP in autumn a couple of months before revo's launch, meaning we can all say "goodbye" to the old way of playing games, and already HAVE a revo title for when the machine is launched... imagine actually playing it and thinking how the revo controller could make it even better! it's not for marketing reasons, they're simply making the best videogame ever! -
future publishing may have been misinformed by accident by nintendo, or it could have been an early suggestion before the patent, or one they are still considering or changing... who knows. i don't think it's right to bash the entire magazine, they're official so all news comes from the big N. the original NOM was so inaccurate i often wondered if nintendo were bothering with them at all anymore!
-
i have every faith nintendo will win through like they have with the DS, how they will do this with their "blue ocean" strategy we'll just have to wait and see.... but i agree that this baseball game sounds great, and if something more party-style (although i think even "serious" sports titles will be a lot more fun with the new controller) like a new mario tennis was out at launch too we could all choose... or just buy both!
-
who owns the rights to publish time crisis games...?
-
xbox live is, in my own opinion, so far removed from the greatest thing to happen to videogames! it's full of cheats, obnoxious foul-mouthed cheats i might add too. and i refuse to pay an extra sum per month on top of broadband subscription for something that should be, and CAN be, free. the extras in the xbox 360's live aren't exciting me either. i've only played mario kart online as far as ninty's wifi service goes and i love it! with the revolution we'll see another revolutionary service i am sure of it, and they won't copy microsoft when they can do so much better.
-
DCK i disagree, the 360 isn't insanely powerful, as a reader said in last month's NGC "so microsoft's revolution isn't inside their own hardware but inside the tv's". besides. i've seen 360's in action, even on HDTV and i don't care for it, look at the way the DS has trounced the PSP. performance IS hitting a wall, and making a basketball player sweat real-looking sweat isn't gonna enhance anything for me! however, bouncing a virtual ball with the revo controller will!
-
yeh that's what i meant. and no i don't know anything about those but i got ur point. i don't think nintendo have "let" sega design a gun for revo retro-lover, it may be possible sega have renewed their patent(?) so that this can be tweaked to be an add-on to the revo controller for some game sega have planned...?

then go and read the official magazine's website, don't scan it in. piracy is piracy, simple as that, and stealing is stealing and i will never condone it. as for people commuting changing their habits, i beg to differ, the sheer amount of people on the trains i work in the morning reading newspapers is extrodinary! ONM is available for subscription for overseas readers and has its own website that you can go and support if you can't buy the magazine. yes it IS all about support as far as i am concerned and i will never buy/receive pirated cd's/dvds/videogames, and i won't with magazines either. demonmike was right with his "exploited" comment. anyone who says any form of piracy etc "isn't a big deal" is just wrong! it's illegal and shouldn't be condoned!
-
well if the promo video is anything to go by, mario tennis may not be that far off and as for touch golf, the only thing keeping me back from this is that i'm not a big fan of golf either. the only golf games i'v ever bought were pebble beach golf links for the 3DO (was ground-breaking at the time but still got boring after an hour or so) and mario golf toadstool tour for the cube, which once you start to use ALL the extra options during play opened up into a deep, great game. but with touch golf not having the humour and the courses of toadstool i was worried about getting bored quickly... i take it i shouldn't worry about that?
-
but if they're not allowed to say anything they won't go beyond some form of "no comment". be patient my friend... they'll reveal all, and either way i don't mind if it is just a stand or not.
-
no problemo. yeh, the first issue will take up to 28 days they told me, so it looks like your first issue will be number two. and the edge article was very good too! shame there were no previews and just one review for nintendo, but the letters page was interesting too, quite a few people attacking sony and praising nintendo... the big in japan pages were all praising them too. very good all round.
-
there was indeed. it was the guy playing the drums then he put his cap on and played baseball. looked amazing! i really hope this is a launch title, it'll be another great title to show off the system, and in the states and japan where baseball is more popular the fact that it is fully licenced will show that a lot more of these types of games are possible, maybe from third parties. personally, i'd buy it!! no, i'm not a huge baseball fan but i think it'd be great fun to play and be a great party game. i think there'll be different settings so anyone who isn't really accurate with the bat can adjust settings and the like, so everyone, no matter the skill level, can play together - sounds very nintendo to me

Zelda delayed to Autumn and Rev confirmed for 2006
knightendo replied to penic99's topic in Nintendo Gaming
i don't understand why so many people are so shocked by this, from reading the news here and in the magazines for the past few months it was pretty obvious this was already happening. i think with the revolution coming nintendo are simply no longer wishing to rush the new zelda out to capitalise on the GC market before it shuts completely, and are now more than happy to finish the game properly knowing they can hit both markets at once.
