  1. I don't have time to read the article right now, but is it anything like the way that a circuit to pick up radio signals does not require a power supply?
  2. Those look pretty good. The sooner we get those over here the better.
  3. If I were you I'd be very worried about the fact that I didn't have a pacemaker. You probably don't have an artificial one, though.
  4. It's on YouTube already, actually, from when somebody saw it on Challenge TV. Watch it here.
  5. I just saw it. It is very much in the vein of the Japanese adverts, which isn't too bad. It could've done with showing some actual games I think, but it works ok as it is.
  6. Not 25? I'll watch E4+1 in a few minutes to see if I can catch the advert.
  7. Cool. They look quite nice, especially since you can actually see what you are buying instead of just the box with the GameCube. I'll be getting the RGB cable.
  8. Gamestation have said that I can indeed get it transferred to another Gamestation shop and keep my position in the list. I'm not sure if I want to do this, or if I should get it from Amazon.
  9. My username comes from when my brother set up an email address for me oh-so-many years back. My first name is Nick, my surname starts with 'C' and I was fat, so fatnickc it was.
  10. I had to pay a £1 deposit per game at Gamestation.
  11. I'm really quite angry right now. I preordered very early at Gamestation (Chiswick), and went just now to ask if they would be doing a midnight launch. When I got there, they told me that they were closing down. I've sent an email to them asking if they'll transfer my preorder and keep me near the front of the line, which they'd better blooming wel do. I haven't got a preorder elsewhere, so what on earth will I do if they can't transfer it?
  12. I wouldn't call it the best, but it is enjoyable. My friends and I like the space one, Balloon Bang and the card one.
  13. I'm going to be at Gamestation in Chiswick at midnight to pick mine up (assuming they can confirm to me today they are doing a midnight launch). EDIT: I said that this morning in all innocence. Here's what I just posted in the Wii Preorders thread:
  14. I preordered the Sunday after the date was announced (on the Friday) and also forgot to ask where I was in the list, so I'd be interested to know if they can tell me.
  15. I'll be getting the following: Wii pack LoZ: TP SMB: BB Wii Play Nunchuk 5000 Wii Points SCART cable I'll probably pick up Red Steel a few weeks later.
  16. Bear in mind that Nintendo may not have (read hopefully haven't) sent all of the invitations at once.
  17. Not yet, no. I preordered about 32 hours after preorders started, so I'm fairly safe. When a friend of mine preordered there about three weeks ago, he was told it was fairly unlikely he would get one this year.
  18. I've been reading these as soon as they've been released for a while now. They are sometimes a little long-winded, but are genuinely interesting.
  19. My short-sightedness isn't too bad, but without glasses I wouldn't be able to read any of this from where I'm sitting now (~50cm from the screen). I got to Vison Express as it is very convenient for me. They tend to have spare appointments most days, and after your appointment they have your new lenses and frames ready within an hour.
  20. That box looks great. I'll probably wait until the price falls a little, though. Or, if Microsoft are offering it, I'll buy a cheaper edition of Vista and then upgrade it to Ultimate later.
  21. I've not got very many..: Library Card Game Reward Card Nationwide Card New (valid) British Fencing Membership Card Old (invalid) British Fencing Membership Card
  22. I thought this month's Edge was very good, as always. The price rise hasn't taken effect on me yet, as I subscribe. The NGamer issue that came out in October was very good, and if it's like any of the past NGamers, issue 4 (out on November 8th) should be a very good read. In a foolish purchase, ONM proved to be, yet again, not very good at all. However, ONM is the cheapest of the three, costing £3.99 (NGamer costs £4.99, but comes with a DVD), so if you are that cash-strapped, it might be justifiable. Still, buy NGamer or Edge.
  23. Seeing as nobody on any forum I've read has been invited yet, I think it's safe to say that nobody's been told. Also, Nintendo said they'd 'be contacting winners from next week onwards', so any time after now also applies.
  24. I'm assuming my local Gamestation will be doing a midnight launch. They did for the DS, after all.
  25. Probably that, as the development tool is called 'LiveMove', and the company behind it 'AiLive'.
