  1. cheers! will that work with my ds too?
  2. it is this one: http://www.itreviews.co.uk/hardware/h639.htm at the moment its not being used, and I am using a wired connection to my moden. I should also add that I know it is compatible with my ISP, as its the same ISP u had when I used this at my old house.
  3. which i wish I knew how to use! Sadly I have limited ability in setting up a network. I managed at my old house, but it wasn't secure, and I have no idea how to make one secure. unless its really easay, I'd rather just buy stuff to avoid the whole situation.
  4. With the launch being close I need to start deciding how is best to connect the Wii to the net. Living in a flat I would rather not use my wireless router, as I'm sure someone will try and steal my precious bandwidth. I saw there is a lan adaptor accessory, but I would still need to use that via my router. If I remove the wireless aerial from the router will there still be a signal? What I was thinking of doing was getting one the the nintendo wireless adaptors that you can get for the DS. Would that be compatible with the Wii? I would assume so, but I don;t want to go making the necessary PC upgrades only it find it was all in vain.
  5. speak to your student unuion, as there is always a load of crappy little jobs that will pay a little. when I was strapped for cash at uni I also signed up on loads of different internet student job sites, and I got alot temp job offers, my sister does the same. One company I did soem work for is called 'Making Waves' - give them a look on the net and see if there is anythign down in Bath you can do. There will be HEAPS of marketing temp jobs going. Or find out if any large company has a call centre locally, as they will often have a few hours going in the evenings.
  6. Connexions is no use to me as I'm 21. And given what other people have told me about the job centre I know that they are of no use to professionals. I know what I want to be doing, but it's not something I can do at the moment, so for now I need a good job I'm constantly challenged in. I kinda like my current job, but I feel like I have pretty much sorted it out, and I can't see how it will get immensely more challenging in the future, even promotion to branch manager won't make things that much harder. I want to speak to someone who can analyse my strengths and weaknesses and what I have to offer and suggest a route for me, as I know I have alot more to offer than this job is using. There must be somewhere that can do that. I'll try and employment agency and see what they say.
  7. I had leave uni last year, so I went and got myself a real job with long term prospects, pension and all that sensible stuff. Nearly 4 months in and its going really well, and it looks like a promotion is on it's way as soon as a branch manager position becomes avaliable. The problem is that the more time I spend there the more i realise that I am better than this job, and that I have a lot of skills to offer that could be better used elsewhere. Plus I really dont want to work in insurance for the rest of my life... I am planning to continue and finsih my degree via the Open University, but that will take several years, so I cant look for graduate positions. I want to have a detailed face to face interview with someone who can really help me find what I'm looking for, but the only place I can think of for that is the job centre, but they don't really cater for 'professionals', more the manual/retail side of things. Anyone have any ideas who I could speak to about this, as I think a bit of advice and guidance could be really usefull.
  8. any good programs to chop up/edit mp3's at all? preferably freeware
  9. i use a program called imtoo dvd creator. Its really simple to use, and even at the lowest quality setting is still good quality. i had to pay for it, but it was well worth it imo.
  10. that should be great gig, the barfly is a great venue (and tiny). Razorlight are a really good live band as well. have a good night!
  11. come on! there must be more questions by now
  12. its a bit of a let down really. i went on friday when it opened and wandered around for abit, and i just left wondering how much money microsoft must have given gamestation to let them take over half the store. They could have done somethign for more exciting. or even just left it how it was!
  13. 9) ferrari f355
  14. 8) t rex - children of the revolution
  15. ooh, what a great set of questions, featuring 2 of my favourite things, Arrested Development and Cohen brothers films. 6) jumping the shark is very significant in AD. It is a direct reference to the moment in 'Happy Days' where it is thought everything since was down hill. The jump the shark in AD occurred at the time when cancellation appeared certain. Also, more relvantly the narrator/producer, ron howard was also in happy days.

    Fishing

wow, i used to live literally 1 mile from frant lakes! anyway.. i went fishing once, for mackerel. it was great fun, but i dont think there is much skill to mackeral fishing, you just stick the line in a pull it out a few times.
  18. i have a nokia n90. its has a good camera, and more importantly it has a 4gb hard drive for your mp3's. It's a bit big, but i have very quickly got used to it, and am really pleased with it. i got it free on an 18 months contract with o2, by haggling at phones 4 u.
  19. 7) the offspring - smash tada
  20. my postcode says edgbaston, but its not. it's more like ladywood. i looked at a place in duddeston too, but that was just too bad an area. apologies if thats where you lkive!
  21. the new street gamestation is huge. biggest in the country i believe, they could do something pretty special there. wii demo pods would be awesome, as the only way anyone but nintendo fans will buy the wii is if they get to play it.
  22. I take home slightly less than a grand a month and i have my own flat. It's not easy, but i'm managing. just don't be too choosey in what area you live.
  23. mistys big adventure! fantastic! I saw the pippettes a while ago too, they are good fun. it looks like a really good festivsal, particularly for the money.
  24. i don't read copmics, but I bought it because it was john cleese. sadly i found it a bit of a dissapointment, although it was veyr funny in places.
  25. i came home from work today to find a nice package on the door mat, an EP i ordered from america. Its Mastodon - Crystal skull, the first single from ther new album. i would review the song, but i don't play my vinyl, but its a good bet that the song is ace. i would tell you to pick one up but sadly it was limited to 2000 and they are gone. Ha!
