ooh, this is a tricky one! my favourite albums are (probably): oasis - whats the story the mars volta - frances the mute mastodon - leviathan kasabian - kasabian Explosions in the sky - how strange, innocence but, there are heaps and heaps of other albums i could have mentioned.

i think its a real pitty blind guardian arent playing. they have the new album to promote, and i believe only 1 UK date so far. its a great pity that the slayer/mastodon/children of bodom unholy alliance tour in the US means none of them can play download. can't wait to hear the new mastodon album!

i had seen all the hype, with Tom DeLonge talking it up all over the place so was very curious. I aquired a copy, and wassuprised by just how blink 182 it is, particularly the last album. Bit of a let down really. Going to see them in June (unless sky high ebay prices tempt me to sell). IAmongst all the hype i saw the apparently live they sound crystal clear, almost studio good, is that true? -
i have won £80 on stratchcards, but never won on the draw. I am about £600 in profit at the casino though and won some money on the FA caup yesterday, so my gambling in general is well into the profit zone.

ah, i had a feeling it was him, but couldn't remeber him doing anything since then, so didn't see how he could claim to still be doing work. thank ye!

Easily the best ever album packaging. I went to the pub after buiying it with a couple of mates, opened it up, and it kept us entertained for a good half hour. and thats just the box! what a genius idea, putting magic eye in the packaging. an added bonus is that the CD within the packaging is absolutely immense!

i'm still trying to decide about going to reading on the sunday this year :S I'd be going for 2 bands really, who are both great live, but I could take a gamble that they'll do a mini tour before the festival. Oh desicions desicions

This is old, but still a classic imo. the eyes are weird as i was wearing sea shells. Tip - do NOT wear sea shells on your eyes unless you have cleaned the salt out of them first.

if you want to see that line up, and more, then go to download festival. http://www.downloadfestival.co.uk its the same line up, but bigger over 3 days.
-
now the Mastodon and Slayer have been added to the bill on sunday at reading festival, I think a 1 day ticket to reading is probably going to have to be bought. *drools* mastodon

the best place to find a list of upcoming gis and tours is via magazines. Karrang has a list of all up coming rock/metal tours, so you can either buy from the venue (buying from the box office in eprson will save at least £1.50 per ticket) or via http://www.seetickets.com or http://www.wayahead.com or http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk. I assume other magazines keep lists of upcoming gis. Or, what I do, is check the local venues websites frequently for their upcoming gigs and subscribe for mailing lists for bands who I desperatly want to see who I can get presale. Where in the UK are you moving to? If it is Birmingham, then PM me and I can give you all the info on where to go round birmingham, as there are a fantastic range of venues. oh, 2 more gigs to add to my upcoming gigs - Buck 65 and Weare Scientists (thanks platty for telling me to listen to them, this'll be the third time i'll have seen them now!)

my life is a mess. I am dropping out of uni, as i can't afford it. I need to find somewhere to live in birmingham and a job by june and I have just permanently fallen out with my best friend of 9 years in a very messy horrible and drawn out situation.

There are some good gigs here! I wish I had realised that Maximo Park had played the Jug of Ale, its a great venue. This year i have seen Bullet for my Valentine, Fozzy, Coheed and Cambria, We are Scientists (twice), Cave In,Deathcad for Cutie, Fall of Troy, Fightstar, 65daysofstatic, Kula Shaker, Hundred Reasons, plus ramdom local bands and support for all the above. Coming up I have Download, Still Remains, Cult of Luna, 65daysofstatic and A Silver Mt. Zion, which I am particularly loking forward to.

i can't beleive Lordi are doing eurovision this year! they should do an all metal eurovision one year, scandanavia in particular has no shortage of strange guys in costume.

It is NOT the law. I work in a shop, and we have trading standards botices pinned up. A retailer is ONLY legally obliged to offer a refund if the product is faulty at the point of purchase and the snsumer was not aware of this. Legally you are entitled to an exchange within a reasonable period of time.

Sorry Colin, the tickets have gone. And sorry platty, you cant use them to pull

Anyone got there Leeds or Reading festival tickets yet?
Tom replied to 21st century cowboy's topic in General Chit Chat
If they are all playing V that is your reason. It is very rare to have a band play 2 festivals over the summer. Oftem when they contact to a festival there is a clause saying they cant play another one. -
i have tried ebay i should probably add that i am giving these tickets away. FREE there must be someone free wednesday nigt who wants to go see one of the hottest new bands! come one!
