yeah i keep thinking of getting one as got copies of MGS 2 and 3 to play plus want persona 4. no room for it tho really but big old ones are like £30 in game.

Do you think it will much? Obviously makes it more affordable to them, but won't piracy still be rife? So therefore not having any real pull for publishers to release more games there. I see things like Zeebo much more cheaper and accessible ways of hitting these markets. The distribution via phone networks means all you need is electricity and a TV to access the games. In a lot of the emerging markets phone networks are more widely accessible than broadband. It's pretty much a piracy killer as you have to be connected to the network to play the games. It's another take on the digital distribution system. Once 4G networks become available as well we could see a rise in such consoles, another form of cloud gaming. I still think it seems crazy that only the US, Japan and EU account for the majority of game sales....

Hope that Square-Enix's recent purchase of Eidos isn't going to affect this in anyway...it shouldn't but you never know if they decide to push it back for their own financial reasons.

I just realised I missed Heroes last night...no reason I wasn't busy..I just completely forgot...I think a sure sign that I have well and truly fallen out of love with Heroes...

Yeah you've got your geography correct... I was thinking for Saturday's how about a Casual night...most people are out Saturday or busy, so a more casual focus would work...I'm LBP, Buzz (who else apart from me has it?!) any other suggestions that would fit into this?

I would consider playing this online but prefer Killzone tbh so going back would be hard although last time I couldn't play Killzone when I kept getting disconnected I played some Resistance 2 and did really well...

But the Buzz controllers are a relatively cheap pack in and eyetoy doesn't have all that much, although love the look of eyepet..

That's why I said it wouldn't surprise me if Sony and Microsoft offer their own alternative spin on this. It's a dicey area, there is apparently talk of a variety of pricing scales, whereby you can either just rent games or own them, but whats the incentive to own? But then how will publishers make a return if players just rent. One thing I absolutely love is the video orientated front end, beats everything else out there if you ask me...

Why create such a remote? It makes little if any sense. Developers have stopped trying to shoe horn sixaxis into everything and now use it subtlety and sparring in ways that do offer something different.

You can in theory...but say you buy a game and then X number of years they stop offering that game for streaming then you've wasted your money, there are issues over the ownership but then even when you buy games now, you don't own the content on a disc you own a license to play it.

Ahh you did the thing every visitor does and tried to get in Betty's lol! You didn't miss much its an absolute rip off... Rock bar I'm guessing was Monty's? Go down like 3 steps to get into it? DUnno what small night club you will have ended up up, revolution/viper rooms or moko are only ones round that area. Not the best for clubs since Ministry of Sound and Jimmy's closed...

Was thinking of picking this up on the cheap just for a little distraction over the hols, couldn't find a thread for it so thought I'd start one. Working my way through lost at the moment half way through Series 3... wondered where does the game go up to? Don't want to spoil anything...

I honestly think cloud gaming is the future. There are so many reasons why it would just work. It gets rid of piracy, it gets rid of the expensive research and development of making a console every 3-5 years. Instead they can just upgrade their server farms with other peoples tech...they would be buying enough for the number of servers to make the likes of IBM etc... more than willing to but the research in. I'm not saying I believe this model creates a one console future. I don't think onlive is the one to truly take the concept forward, it may take many iterations of the idea before it is fully realized. Whose to say Sony and Microsoft won't take the idea and run with it. I also think the tech is no where near where it needs to be. Although I do love all the frontend menus and stuff with the usage of loads of videos etc...much more exciting than the relatively static looking menus each of the 3 consoles have. Love the idea of Bragging as well they seem really into building a community. Hope they stretch out the beta to europe.

Does seem wierd as they pulled out cos of the financial climate...Richard Branson was somewhat coy when asked about his companies future role in the coming seasons...I say they will end up owning the team or being a massive backer at very least. EDIT; Quick net search shows this; So would have cost them that anyway...
