The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch
ArtMediocre replied to darkjak's topic in Nintendo Gaming
This looks incredible! I was ready to fire up Zelda this morning after seeing the trailer, but after a lot af searching it seems I've lost my copy . Damn these small Switch games! Hope you all enjoy the DLC though -
Really looking forward to playing this early next year! Hopefully there's a new patch that fixes the sharpening in portable mode by then :).

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch
ArtMediocre replied to darkjak's topic in Nintendo Gaming
That is so true. I remember being afraid of the Guardians when I saw one in game. Took a lot of fights until I got the hang of it, but when I had learned how to deal with them, it was easy :D. Same with the Lynel. My first Lynel fight was a treal thrill, and got my heart racing :D. -
Just a rumor, so take it with a teaspoon of salt, but apparently Namco Bandai willhost a big event the 15th of december where Nintendo will have a big precence. These are the rumored games that will be announced: Dark Souls Collection One Piece Dawn Soul Calibur 6 My Hero Academy (this was just officially confirmed) Xenosaga HD Collection (!) Let's keep an eye out for news these following days. Seeing as I never got around to play Dark Souls, a complete collection on my favourite console would be pretty awesome.

It's not the end of the world though. But it is something Nintendo should improve on, seeing as the system is region free. Oh well, time to make a new account.

Just wanted to give you guys a quick update on this. Seeing as the account in question was a Japanese account, the service here in Europe can't do anything about it. So, I tried sending the japanese service a mail, and absolutely no reply. They only respond to japanese mails. Now I have two options. Never use the account and save the £40 that is linked to the account, or delete it and lose them. This sucks.

I loved "Long Journey's End", such a good mission. Really had me struggeling at times, but I managed to beat it after two hours or so. In a hotel room in Rome. Thank god for the Switch :D. Also, a bit happy I did this on my first go . Already finished the one without the motorcycle, so this was a walk in the park.

Now now, speak for yourself, Mr. 5442-9012-6148. I'm sure 3034-9087-7910 will agree with me. ...right?

Bah, I really want this game, but I already have a backlog on my Switch with Steamworld Dig 2 and Nights of Azure.... And let's not talk about my PC backlog. I still need to finish The Witcher, for one. But even so I still really, really crave this game :P.

Hope to find this today in the store, but most likely I'll have to wait until tomorrow :(. I've been really hyped these last few days. Thank god the game has gotten some better PR than the first, boring directs. When do the review embargo lift?

How is Skyrim VR? Something you'd recommend? I'm considering buying it for my Oculus. Regarding VR, I think it is great! But it is still pretty early and there is a long way to go until you can get truly immersed. But I see that I'm tricked into thinking I'm in a different environment if I don't think about it while playing VR-games. Some do this better than others. Hot dogs, horseshoes & hand grenades is my favourite go-to simulator and allround fun house for a quick round of VR. Other than that there are some interesting indie and patreon projects for the VR I spend a lot of time with. And speaking of which, the Oculus + Touch bundle is on Cyber Monday sale here in Norway. It is going for as low as £350. If you want a HMD only (no controllers) it is around £680 xD. Really cheap! I'm actually considering buying a set and selling it later on for a bit more...

It's just as you say, Nintendo is the one at fault here. They haven't sorted out the accounts during service, and ended up keeping the user active on the original system and not the new one. Looks like there is nothing to be done by the user, so yeah, like you say, I need to give Nintendo a call and have them sort it out from their end. I don't know if I can call them from Norway though, but I will try :). The guy who had the same problem had done the same as me: Had a problem with the Switch, sent it in for service, gotten a brand new system in return. Should be a quick fix, but still takes more effort than it should, seeing as I have to ask Nintendo to do it directly. Oh well, I'll let you know what happens.

Well now, my Switch is acting funny on me again. Seeing as I've been posting a bit about Shinobi Reffle: Senran Kagura (don't judge me), I wanted to test it as the game finally launched. I fired up my japanese eShop, bought a digital eShop card from Play-Asia, and bought the game. The game is ready and I wanna give it a go, but then I get the message: You cannot play this game. Now, after a long time on google and troubleshooting it seems I need to unlink my japanese Nintendo ID and unregister my Switch as the active download unit. Unlinking the account is no problem. I can even do that from my PC. But when I try to unregister my Switch, i get error code 2164-0055. And there is no information on the subject anywhere. Not on the Nintendo official site at least. I might have to contact Nintendo service, but I would like to figure this out on my own if I can, seeing as last time I had the Switch in for service I lost all my save files... The service part might be the source of the trouble too. I had the same account linked on that console, but when I got the Switch back, it was a new unit. They probably didn't un-link it. I have no idea. I saw another user having the same issue on reddit, so I've contacted him direcly to see what he ended up doing. I really hope it's just a quick fix, but it is irritating not being able to play the games I've bought.

I WILL NOT LET THIS THREAD DIE!!!!! Shinobi Refle: Senran Kagura will receive Yumi as Day-One DLC character. Let the waifus rain down! The first DLC character, Yumi, debuted in Estival Versus and has since been a popular character in the series. The price for the DLC will be the same as the price for the original game, which implies that everything will be redone with the voice actor and animations. If I can be so bold, I think they have seen the potential of the Switch (as well as the sales numbers) and now they just want to pump out the remaining characters. Maybe we'll get the definite version here with all characters included. I have no idea.

Just so you all know... this is out in 4 days on the Japanese eShop. Better get your SD cards ready! Source: Gematsu Can't wait to read the Famitsu review

Got over 500 moons now. Still haven't gone to the last level seeing as my weekend was filled with birthday parties and such, but looking forward to collection more moons now. First off though is getting all the coins, simply because that is the easiest thing in the game to 100%. I can also confirm what MindFreak is saying about the more challenging moons. Some of them are infuriating. I've lost 40-50 lives on two of them already. I'm usually a calm gamer, but those moons had me screaming in pain and hatred. And it was such a good feeling to finally get the bloody thing. Damn you Mario, only you can make me behave this way.

@Ashley What Londragon said. There is no other way to go than a tempered glass protector. Great protection for dock scratches too, if you're concerned about that.

I think I'll buy both this and Batman when they get cheaper. Never played any of them, and to have it portable is just perfect!
-
I'll wait for the reviews to come in. I was excited for the game when it was announced, but the last two directs really put me off. This Xenoblade direct was a step in the right direction, and I am looking forward to the game once more. But I want to see what you and the critics say about it first.

I just tried this in a different kingdom, and it played a different song :O. Seems that there are a number of songs, maybe for each stage. It's a lovely detail Edit: sorry Ronnie :S

Credits rolled this saturday. Man oh man, this is actually my personal favourite Mario game of all time. I had an absolute blast going through the story, even though how simple and silly the story is. The post-game world is just an incredible throwback, and I loved every pixel of it. Now I'm currently going through each world to collect each and every moon there is. And it is pure joy. I don't know how Nintendo has managed to make this and Breath of the Wild at the same time, but I gotta give it to them. 2017 has been an absolute blast of a year! Also, I am way more a bigger fan of the Zelda franchise. But if any game should get Game of the Year 2017, it should be Mario.

Shake things up, you say....? BRING ON THE WAGGLE!!!

Wow! I tried the jumprope yesterday. Got 114 on my first go :P. It was easier than I thought. And I love the reference the rope girls have before you start jumping. "Jump, man!" Yes, Nintendo, I see what you did there.

Btw, do you think Mario can break the 100% attach rate like Zelda did?
