SO guys, got a bunch of points spare and we're looking for a good co-op/2-player arcade downloadable. Any suggestions? We've already got Puzzle Fighter, Streets of Rage and going to download Metal Slug 3.

I have absolutely no idea why I've been up since 7am. I'm not even in uni 'til 12pm. Went and played pool for a few hours yesterday. Lost nearly all the games, but had a natter and witnessed a barmaid get soaked in strongbow thanks to me.. That is, I ordered a pint and she managed to pull the lever right off, so the pressured cider just shot out all over her. Was a little loller. University feels damn weird at the moment. Despite only having two weeks of official holiday, I've had over a month away from lessons and the age-old 2nd-semester blues have hit. It doesn't feel real yet...

I like those quite a lot. In the first one it's mostly the last stanza, because it's so self-aware it brings the whole thing to life :P The second one I didn't like at first, but it got in my head and ate away at me for a while. Always good

Ultimately, everyone will be in the same boat when it comes to acquiring the pictures, but I am worried that simply everyone will avoid any sort of creativity and just give up on many of the entries so far. The aim is not to come up with ridiculous ideas, people :P Perhaps I should not have mentioned a prize... If you do not wish to change your entries then that is completely fine! dude, jayseven read teh entire thread last night, and this indeed caught jayseven's eye. MBAM! said that her role would only work on a specific night. Also, haggis and shino have failed to come forward with what they've been up to. Also; it was a MOD that killed strider, and "and moogle thinks he used to be a mod on C-E." i.e moogle believes his character used to be a mod on the forums. To be honest, there's a hell of a lot of evidence agaisnt moogle; "Moogle is not the time banner at all... Will reveal role if necessary" "Moogle may does not know whether or not he has that keyword as moogle thinks that DomJcg lied about McMad and is now lying about moogle. Moogle's power is to target people at night. Moogle does not do anything to them whether they are good or bad. Moogle needs to find the person he is looking for. Moogle does not want to reveal who he is or who he is looking for because that may jeopardise himself to the person he is looking for who may be his enemy." Moogle has changed his story as to whether he is certain, uncertain or whatever about his keywords, also jayseven believes that if moogle was hunting one particular user, then this particular user would immediately know that moogle is the character they are looking for -- this has not happened, thus jayseven believes moogle is lying. McMad has the misdirector keyword. As for the admin; all i can think of is fierce_link... there's a mod; Mr_Odwin. There was a mod mentioned a lot earlier in the thread who silenced someone, I think. What have you got?

awesome you're in then, thirtynine. By the way; I've had a quick gander at everyone's lists and I have to say, you've all sent me really, i[]really[/i] hard. I am fearful that we won't get many entries simply because they're all so difficult... Please if you send me a list of five things, be thoughtful - don't make thinsg too impossible. If anyone wishes to send me a new list of five things, then feel free. Of course, no matter what the lists are, this will be interesting. I just worry that people will not try to be creative with the targets...

Last night jayseven went through all 50 pages, and jayseven can agree that moogle is evil. Vote: MoogleViper. If anyone wants the reasoning, jayseven can provide it. Jayseven also belives there are two other players who have behaved highly suspiciously.

I definitely like the updated version of the story, and I like what you say about the train being the cause of the turmoil! Croy does sound haunting; reminds me of the Kryll bat-things from Gears of War, plus it's not a very nice-sounding word! Allusions to "cry" and rhythmic similaries to words like "destroy", and other words that start with "cr" tend to be weird - creak, croak, crack, cripple, crash... Of course these are subconscious ties and I didn't even notice these connotations 'til I thought about the word! It's good that you're not afraid of editing your work; for a lot of people, myself included, short stories like this almost represent the moment I was writing them; how I felt, what was going through my mind, all the factors that made me choose the words I did, the order I did... But the fact is that nobody's ever going to fully get that moment, for it was yours alone to have, so you either have to be completely ambiguous with your meaning and accept all reactions, or work and rework the piece 'til the subtleties really get teh desired affect. And the problem with being the author is that you'll never be able to read the piece as if it were the first time you read it ever. A really good technique to help see if things flow, or to measure pacing and to see if it's missing anything or has too much of something is simply to read it aloud, or even read it out to someone else. You'd be surprised what you might spot, or think of. I love writing, and I love reading other's work, so if you ever have anything else then you really should post it! Only a couple of others have posted stories on here, it's always fun to read them.
