Funnily enough, I spent about 20 minutes in a pub garden doodling all over a newpaper trying to work something out - bearing in mind I'd had 3 pints already. Say I have a module consisting of two essays - one essay mark I get 55%, but it is only worth 40% of my total grade. In order to get 70% overall, what mark must I attain in the second essay (worth 60% of overall grade)? I think I ended up working it out to needing a mark of 80%, which totally looks right - I think all the percentages confused me. Er yes! anyay, who's got the next round?

Vote: Volcom for the numbers side of things. Plus Lazyboy killed me on the first night in a previous game, and I'd love to see if he's a mafia now :P

I've stapled two fingers together before. As coolness says, not that painful, but certainly weird to look at, and awkward to resolve. Landed bare-foot on a pin before and got it right in my big-toe. THAT really hurt... I burn my mouth/tongue all the time. Every time I have a pot noodle, every time I have a take-away pizza. I cut my tongue on the lid of a tin of beans rather bad the other week - I was licking the tomato sauce off :/ Also my ex-girlfriend accidentally pushed my elbow onto an open can once. I lifted my arm up and the can came with it, but as far as I can tell there's little-to-no scarring... I used to hate it when I set fire to my own hair/beard when lighting a cigarette. Hate it when I'm smoking and someone makes me burn myself somehow. Etc.

One of very few things I remember from my phonetics module last year - that's called a Schwa! I wouldn't've transcribed hammock as having a schwa; sounds more like the "oo" in look and book except shorter. I'd go fetch my module handbook and symbol table and whatnot -- but this is the QUIZ thread and I can't be bothered. FISH sort it out, mate.

Sounds to me like the GLA are a real thing, as are the hoodie-wearing baddies. Also sounds like Jonnas was perhaps Supergrunch, what with the chemical know-how? Just speculation. Could the guy that wildo targeted have been, I dunno, Rokhed? "Someone so different" and all, he's the most abstract person on these boards...

Well I'm again no expert on danish, but english pronounciation certainly doesn't allways treat the vowels the same way - think of how "a" sounds in saw, awe, jaw compared to grass, pass, bath. Phonetics-boy will save us.

A general sig/avatar 'help' thread would be way better than anything involving such a detrimental use of rating things. There is a help thread stickied in the creative board, but it is a typical sticky that nobody uses. Hell, the "rate the above..." threads would be better a) merged and b) without the "above" bit, instead focusing on individuals asking "can you rate my signature? tell me what's good/bad?". "Rate my signature/avatar". Bob is your pervy relative.

Feeling a right cynical, bitter bastard right now. I'd feel a lot better if I had a good lengthy fix of dvds, but I've run out of things to watch in the house. I'm going to have to resort to going around all the shelves and calculating just how many days of my life this year I've spent watching dvds. Preliminary guesses reckon it will be a couple of weeks at least. NEED MAH HIT.

My firewall/antivirus has been dead for nearly a year anyway :P I live ON THE EDGE. It's not just my wireless card either, as I get the same problems with other wireless wotsits, and even a direct cable to the router. Shorty did re-jig the network recently, I was wondering if it was possible he had altered something..? Is that even possible? Gah. It's just ridiculous.

Bah. Signatures should only be rated when they're new. People are ratings WHORES who go back to rate other people's sigs ten times a page when they've got exactly the same sig. Plus the rate the sig and rate the av threads should totally be merged. Then burned instantly too - but one shouldn't ask for too much.
