  1. ... yeah. I blame you for creating that confusion :P You can only answer one question once the round is opened up. I'm trying not to be overly pedantic about the quiz in general (despite the massive list of rules in the first post, there could be a hell of a lot more). Unless you guys think it'd be cool for multiple question attempts once the q's are opened up? It can always be up for debate. Personally I don't think that everyone always opens their round up late enough, so it may be unfair on others. But then, if one is to be allowed to answer multiple opened-up q's, I know I'd probably have at least 5 more points by now
  2. My coupla days; extremely sparse internet connection. Liking the sheffield discussion. I'm still planning on a sheff meet sometime aug/sept. Been trying to post my fairytale in the creative board for the last 2 days ands till to no avail. This post probably won't even work either. Played GTA4 a fair bit today. Not a bad game. Kinda like a whole bunch of other games mixed into one. indeed, this is the first GTA I've played properly... Just watched Save The Green Planet! and was surprised at how not-so-tacky it was. Now once again, I've run out of things to watch.
  3. Moogle/grunchie; sorry but you can't answer more than one bonus. It's happened before but since then I did specify that it wouldn't be allowed anymore. Otherwise I would have answered a lots of them before you, moogle. 3) Unity Mitford?
  4. Been having serious trouble getting onto the internet via wireless connection the last couple of days. Shorty's been kind enough to help me out by setting up a Belkins thingiwotsit wireless majig to see if it's my internal wireless card that's fried, and while the connection speed is better it appears the main problem I am having is I am not sending any information -- I can view several pages on the web, but I cannot submit posts here, upload images elsewhere, nor even *shock* browse facebook. When viewing the details of the connection, it says I'm basically not sending any packets of information at all. Anyone got any ideas? Is it my laptop, the network, or what? Thanks.
  5. Moogle's got it right already, I'm afraid :/
  6. I was not dissapointed I knew nothing of the comic, just that I thought the character looked dull - now I think he's absolutely great. Downey Jr was awesome, as were his robots. Even if some of the bits were predictable they were still carried out with a twist (thrusters at 25%? Proof Tony Stark has a heart?)... Man, I really liked it. Really did. Shame I was really rather pissed when I saw it - my bladder was THROBBING for about an hour and a half of the film so I was kinda tapping my foot during the last fight and didn't get to appreciate it. As soon as the credits rolled I was up n' out to the bogs and didn't get to see the scene, which is a shame. But yeah; I'm an iron man fan now
  7. Gorrammit, I know the answer. Nicely done
  8. Final chapter in the nonsense, overlooked saga of esasyass! EsasyAss. E-Sassy Ass. PRON!LOLetc. Finished on 4,012 words. Basically decided not to use many quotes at all and concentrate on interpreting and explaining my story. Would anyone like to read it? It's not perfect as it was written with a wordcount in mind. I want to know what bits are boring.
  9. Worst film I've seen is Graduation Day. Every single actor in it must've been told "hey, you're the STAR of the movie!" and they're all jostling and talking over each other. It's bloody brilliant, actually. Must track it down...
  10. .. curses to essays making me forget this! Oh well I am the.. er... middling-chamionship-type-team of n-europe!
  11. can I suggest for the other questions, grunchie, you give some clues to encourage 'more' attempts!
  12. Probably explains why Chaz fitted right in! Hiyoo! ... Kipped from 6am to 11am. Now got... well up to 4 hours to finish commentary. Oodles of time.
  13. Awesome, Mundi It's now time for my seriously vital Essay report thing. The time is... ten to fivam. Done 2,418 words for the story. I'm supposed to have a 3,000 word limit, but I think I can go up to 3,600, which gives me 1,200 for the commentary. I already have 1,300 worth of quotes, so in total it's going to be over 5,000 words when I'm done adding quotes. I'm fairly proud of my fairy tale. Once I've handed it in I may well actually work on making it a vaguely longer story, or whatever. And my x-files still hasn't downloaded. 17mb! That's all that needs to download to complete 3 episodes! How long does it freaking have to take! Only gotten through two litres of the BOOST power drink stuff. Got another two though. Just in case. etc. Bit zombie-hyper.
  14. My super awesome and really interesting essay update! Well The water’s trickle is no longer heard. The leaves are still, and the wind elsewhere--- Excuse me. My fairytale was planned in 517 words. My write-up, my re-imagination of the world has taken me nearly 800 words to word 26 of my plan... I have a 3k wordlimit, and 1,300 words worth of quotes to work with too. 15 hours remaining! Where are my x-files for distraction?
  15. Did you know that the majority of Putin's speech at the recent G9 summit was censored to the public in the west? By our governments? Putin gets a lot of shit and I just think that if you never get two sides to a story, the side you're being fed is probably propaganda. Woo for conspiracy mood!
  16. Well as a sociopath he has little regard to the morality of reacting in a socially acceptable way to the triggers of his 'imagination' (shall we say), so it's more than just the acts are irrelevant - it's that he is contemplating acting against society which leads to the teleological consequence of, what, insanity? His mind wanted him to act out against society as he was trapped in a superficial world where everyone had practically uniform business cards, went to eat wherever was most popular, and be so concerned with their outward appearance as to waste chunks of your life daily in maintaining the status quo.paihsofoebobfei Man i just wrote A LOT MORE shit after that. I gotta go return some videotapes.
  17. So do you think Bateman actually did all those things or not?
  18. SO YAR THER BE A TOPIC? Lost in Translation Saw it for the first time the other day - strikes me as a movie my kids will find utterly boring, but the concept was nice. The roles were suited to the actors because they basically had to be themselves, which is why they did such a good job. The film's nicely paced and, as someone pointed out, the opening shot is mega-cool I do wonder how the Japanese responded to the movie, whether they found it disrespectful or not. And to be honest, the movie actually left me feeling a little depressed about life and love. But credit goes to the production of the movie - done in under a month entirely on location, often without permission. Suntory/10
  19. ... Comparing Pink albums to work out which is best is like standing in a field trying to decide which cow pat looks tastiest... Not impossible to decide, but ultimately you're talking about shit.
  20. Korn - Follow the Leader album = Rainboy 6 on the N64.
  21. Shenlong! Where've you been all these years? *hopes you're the same shenlong from yesteryear that I remember*
  22. What happened to the funnies, EEVIL?
  23. Vote: Thunderer, because at the moment I think it's potentially safer to let Maase and Big C live under suspicion then kill either off, considering they're now mafia targets. Thunderer is usually fairly prolific with his mafia-playing, but he's dead-weight for this one. He probably signed up for it ages ago and has forgotten about it. Let's speed this up.
  24. The paranoiac inside me truly believes I'm a mass-produced experiment, strategically placed around the UK to lead uncrossing lives, set to gather intel on.. er... well that bit I haven't worked out yet. Plus I haven't left the house today so it definitely wasn't me.
  25. Well it's pretty cool. Wrong side, of course. Not like the seriously cool kids... Your hair is a bit like Stanley Laurel's.
