Doesn't really sound like acid reflux. What's the type of pain? Where in your back? Acid reflux usually occurs after eating, especially rich food like cheese. The pain associated with it is a sort of burning pain in the gullet, and is more in your chest than your back. Is the pain more on one side of the back than the other? But yeah! Doctors ftw. I didn't register when I first went to uni and still got seen. Good luck dude

Don't force weird words out! Sometimes not remembering an exact word leads to a rich round-the-houses sentance or two You've already surpassed my total now, too... Yeah! Names I have a big problem with. I've only had to deal with one name so far -- and I'm trying to deal with xenophobia and alienation, so it might not be too big a problem for a while, for me... lol. http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/420503 is me!

YOSH! SO last few days... Well I've been out every night this week. A lot of jugglesock-related activities and a lot of cider-drinkage. Halloween the other night was a fairly chilled-out affair where I chatted shit with nightwolf, her mate and a couple of my mates for several hours. I refuse to entwine myself with the social 'etiquette' involved with actually entering any club on tha tnight. Queue up for two hours watching twats prancing around in joker outfits? Na, thanks. Last night was a groovy house party -- I had all the participants besides the party-hosts at mine first, but our flat isn't a great venue so when we got there it all kicked off. Fireworks set off on teh floor, catherine wheels in a bonfire... good times. Started nanowrimo, only got 394 words so far. Then watched saw 5 today. Not a lot really happened, I guess. Got green hair! Woo!

Do you really get over the first person you've Loved?
jayseven replied to Falcon_BlizZACK's topic in General Chit Chat
Jekyll & Hyde pretty much goes for every person ever. It's something that goes both ways - getting to know who someone really is means you'll be revealing yourself too. First loves are usually fuelled by "omg I can't believe someone actually likes me this much! Especially someone as cool as them! I must be so lucky... I must therefore act as if I am walking on ice and tip-toe around them until the pressure builds and I have to confront them with an entire list of things I hate about them"... Rokhed's comment about infactuation is along these lines, I'd say. My first love was some mega-hot chick, whose personality was pretty damn wrong for me. But once someone lets you in, you treat that as a reason for love, rather than the stuff you find within them, which you may not like at all and convince yourself it's something you can put up with because you don't think you'll ever have as much sex ever again. My first love stole a bit of my heart. Some say I gave it to her willingly, but I think it was all part of her master plan. She's probably got a pile of heart chunks, and spends all her nights trying to piece them together to make herself a proper, blood-pumping heart to replace the stone-cold one that does nothing but make her a-- .... yeah. Yeah I'm over her. She's stupidly skinny now, too. The next one is always better. -
lol - neither is acceptable. I was talking about adding me as a buddy writer on the website! I'm not complaining about it at all
-
I've not really spent much time on it today; I've got 394 words. One of my mates has 0 and the other has 592 words, despite telling me at 200 words "I give up, this sucks". Ash - buddy-me-urp.
-
Three posts in a row, huh? Well it's started today. Got 394 words so far :P No Idea for a title yet, though.

I was about to register a complaint to the BBC over their obsession with this 'news' story, and how my licence money shouldn't be used for egotistical, dire stories like this. Then I remembered I don't pay my licence.

But how can you hate the useful applications, like Chess and Go! I agree, all those vampire/buy your friends/top friends/fishtank/pub fight applications are shite and should be destroyed, but chess and go! Come on! No harm there.

Favourite Gaming Moments [Youtube vids only]
jayseven replied to Falcon_BlizZACK's topic in General Chit Chat
... Not an interesting video to watch (although the music that starts a couple of minutes into it is going to earn my use of the word awesome in this post. But it shows you how many times you think the game ends. Which is three times. Each time you unlock a whole new thing to do, which made me berry berry happy over xmas of one year. -
Why not make this a thread about facebook applications/games in general? Not sure the playground is the best place for this, anyway. Minesweeper Flags is based on the MSN game. My friend made it a few weeks ago, so feel free to give him feedback. Word Challenge is awesome. I currently have a score of around 32,000. Which I defy you to best. I'm probably slightly addicted to this, and play it most days. I use this application for Go, and generally have one large and one small game going at once. Games do often take weeks to complete, and I've probably only completed 5 games with it, but I definitely feel that I have improved a little. Chess is surely an essential; my rating is 1297, highest was 1348, played 81 games and won 47, drawn 4. Thing with the game is I've sent out challenges to friends with the application, but they never check their chess app so they never see the challenges.

But the platonic love you have with friends and family isn't the kind of love we're debating about, here. Love is the messy, ignorant swimming pool we occasionaly dive blindly into. Love is the struggle to hold your breath while swimming as far as possible. Love is reaising you're swimming in a circle, but that's ok. Love is finding something that suddenly makes all the worst bits in your life seem ok, and all the best bits seem average. Love is a cancer that can destroy your relationship with the rest of the world, yet love is addictive and wonderful. Love is something I'm hugely scared of. Love is no excuse, yet unavoidably distracting. Romantic love is barely scraping the surface of what love is -- the inexplainable communication between two people that transcends words and metaphor. Love is true understanding; trust and faith. Love is acceptance and acknowledgement... But love is also experience. Innocence only goes so far. Love is awareness and thoughtfulness. I still like to think that I have experienced love in the romantic, nostalgic sense -- but I still tend to believe that I was a misguided fool -- that all I have mentioned above is largely impossible to achieve for long periods of time. Love is a belief system created by those who believe we are somehow more than animals. I'm not so sure. But I'm ever so willing to be convinced otherwise!

Yes - you're missing Quincy! I had a dream that I was basically in the Mirror's edge world, except it was FIGHT TO THE DEATH and I didn't know the controls. Are you wanting some sort of competition? because I will win. I bet you I will go blind before you. I bet you that I am more blind than you currently. Seriously. So today wasn't really anything for ages. I went to a committee meeting for my juggling thang, only not enough people turned up so I bascally had dinner cooked for me (fajitas ftw), and drank lots (7 cans of strongbow), and taught them the game my grandparent made up, which is now known as Smedley. Also played some Yahtzee, and lost a-plenty. Borrowed House season 1 and Babel the movie, which I'll try to watch. Those guys here with access to my facebook will perhaps know that I got a bit down last night after some self-investigation, but in the end I figure I have at least 20 years before I need to start getting depressed. So yeah! Here's hoping my laptop isn't in the mood to melt DVDs so I can watch some House...

I think it's a bit harsh - effectively you'd be getting fined £35 for being silly on the forums. ... But the simple answer is to not use EA forums :P
-
If you go by that definition, then you can say that pain isn's a bad thing because once you hit rock bottom, the only way is up. The risk you speak of is what makes 'love' so awesome when it's awesome. Life isn't a fairy tale, shit happens. Break up with your girlfriend already!

Noodles Egotistical Round The World Thread
jayseven replied to Noodleman's topic in General Chit Chat
Wow. You've had a hectic time! Last year I had a couple of montreal chicks staying with a mate for a semester so yes, I concur, they do tend to be rather hot. I plan on trekking over there in teh next couple of years. Shame you didn't like new york - pretty much everyone I know who has been has come back with the firm belief that it's one of the best cities in teh world. Where are you planning to go after teh US? Down south or westwards? And just to mention, your montreal pics aren't url'd properly.
