weeyellow; that's surely post-party apocalypse? Even I couldn't live like that. If I ever got that bad I'd have to sell my house and move as there's no chance i'd clean it up.

Bestival is the one on the Isle of Wight, ya? Small World is in Kent and it's hippy and chilled. Devil's dyke? Awesome! Very scenic

Film Review Poll, Urgent and Plentiful Input Needed
jayseven replied to ReZourceman's topic in General Chit Chat
In gamesTM they have a final score, then underneath it a succinct abbreviation of the entire review. I like the summing-up, but I guess it is in danger of leading people astray if they haven't read the reviews. -
Wanted is clearly a marmite film. The people who like it claim that those who don't must've missed the point, while those who hate it claim that... Well I can't think of a good way to end that insightful insight. I've lost the concluding part of my brain!

Eenuh is the winniest winner of all winland. Aimless is the soothiest soother of all of soothdom, too. (I just got back from my talk with my tutor - she calmed me down with lots of compliments and quotes from my fucking essays. I need to rock out this semester. Sidenote - first time I've been out in daylight for fucking ages. The fresh air never looked so gleeful! Gave up half-way through a poem about falling in love with a passer-by, whcih I did, again. The End.)

3D doesn't really work for me and my broken eyes, which sucks. I think if I marathon both seasons in one sitting, I may need a new spacebar.- 3920 replies

Scattered mind this morning. Woke up at 11pm so I'm not too tired just yet; got a meeting with a tutor about an essay that I have an extension for (til next thurs, due in last thurs) but I haven't actually started it yet. Not read the books, not read the essay, and I have managed to literally leave it til the last hour to try and get together some 'ideas' and 'questions' so that I don't waste her time too much. Best get on that, really. Dyson, dyson, dyson! Just forget her. Block her face. What's the point in a relationship of any kind where all you talk about is the relationship itself? On a related-by-inspiration note; we should have a yearbook. Or something. Nevermind.

Just started watching Chuck without knowing anything about it at all. The first episode had me laughing out loud plenty of times, and the second one, while not bad, was perhaps an example of the formula that might be in place for the whole show. More Bladwin at the Buy More, more hot girl in her pants and more of morgan's comic timing, please- 3920 replies

Xpert Eleven Season 8: Villan still a loser
jayseven replied to Mr_Odwin's topic in General Chit Chat
Hate to say I told you so... My team's knackered from being forced so hard at the first half of the season. Every single player's form was down before the match so I had to ease up a bit -- but I think my biggest mistake was in using the offside trap, as two of your goals were breakaways -
Well I don't anymore, that was in my first year at uni.

Who on these forums is the messiest individual? Is your room a tip? Is your car a dumpster? Is your kitchen a skip (a skipchen, if you will)? I don't really think this is much of a competitive game, and I can't figure a way to make it worthy of the Playground, so, uh, yeah! Mess, muthafucka, do you speak it? I'll get some pics/vids of my current room/messes, but here's the mess in my first year at halls; This is the space by my desk at the time This is my old bedroom door at my mum's house. Kinda counts as sloppy, at least. There's even people under our sofa...

You're not going to say anything to her, just leave this ever-so-subtle note for her, here? Tsk :P I am messy, messy, messy. I still have stuff in a suitcase that I haven't unpacked since coming back from xmas at home. I live with an array of messy areas, so when I lose something I know it'll be in one of three places. Shorty and nami are constantly losing their phones/keys/wallets! Jordan, you gave me an idea for a thread ^_^ To t' playground!

I rectified this error in a phone call shortly after that post. Maybe. Dan suggested we gather the troops and green-it-up. I'm not all too sure about man-slutting, to be honest!

IMAWAKE! Yes, linear can be cyclical. Just an ambidextrous dot, forgetting its keys, leaving the gas on, losing the cat; draw a circle on a piece of paper, then cut it out and hold it flat up to eye-level - round and round is just backwards and forwards. ANYWAY! Invited folk over to my house, only the girls are coming. Gonna rockband-it-up and hope it's a good evening!

A good read - nice parodies and your wick sense of humour is always a pleasant thing to observe! I was just wondering if you had enough time for all the scene changes in 10/15 mins? You have three (at least) songs and probably about 10 mins of dialogue? I tried to time myself reading it aloud but I lost track of the time I started... "They are in for some pain! Their heads must be emptier than Murdock's" I think the simile should use something/someone other than Murdock. Maybe. I mean on the one hand, Murdock's reaction could prove humorous, but if the younger audience members don't know who the A Team are then they would benefit from a comparison to someone real, or something notoriously empty ("my bank account?" I don't know)... Faceman sounds like a parody of Zoolander... "really, really, ridiculously good looking". I'm certain a quick vogue moment here will play really well. Pehaps write in some of the actions or reactions to help shape the play physically. Everyone's line is a response to someone else's line, little is in response to a gesture or an action, which you may need more of to keep an audience's attention - I mean, while the actors are talking there needs to be some physical movement to keep the pacing dynamic and the audience focused. Small idea; perhaps in the child's room he has some toys here and there, and after each story sequence you'll see granddad perhaps standing in different places; by the window or over the bed, or in the chair or by a desk, each time with a different toy in hand that reflects the story you've just seen. Maybe an action man for the a-team, a toy guitar for the beatles song... er... yeah stuff like that. For script posterity, 'Child' should be called Kevin, really :P Hope that was more constructive than critical!

Drunken political rant *contains bad language*
jayseven replied to Nicktendo's topic in General Chit Chat
Main jipe with your rant - you start off demanding we 'rise up' and 'revolt' against the 'bigots', and burn flags and queens. You've contradicted yourself by demanding violence then stating that it is not the right answer. Your essay is your part of a dialogue between you and the people you want to convince are wrong, and you have to focus on who you are trying to convince in order to use the best method. You're mostly preaching to the choir, here. But! I do like your anger, your focus. The subject matter is an interesting one (or an interesting several) that is made of grey middle ground. I agree with you on several points but not all - the role of nation is more than just queen or army - nations are a sense of identity, of belonging that you don't get from accepting true equality with everyone. If there was equality then why have competitions to see who is the best? If there's equality, then which language should we all learn and why? So much rubble to sift through with the equality mess, so avoid that. Pride. What you are really asking for is for us to accept other cultures, other races, other creeds and colours without prejudice or patronising reason. This is indeed done with words by convincing/informing/educating people, but not of how equal we are but of how other people are different. Understanding that there really is difference is the first step towards acceptance. Nations, media control, xenophobia, beurocracy, class... you packed a lot in!
