  1. Was I the only one who didn't enjoy the trailer at all? I didn't laugh at anything in it, I was looking forward to some hilarious joke which I hoped was coming due to the immense loling that people on here seemed to enjoy. It didn't though, he just got bashed again. Oh well, maybe it's just my lack of being able to enjoy comedy on the TV. I seem to never laugh at programs.
  2. Muse - Feeling Good God, I love this song so much! Probably my favorite Muse song as it's just relaxing and nice, unlike the usual Muse stuff which is shouty and unwelcoming - though still great!
  3. Yup, me too, because... ^ What he said ^

    Age

I am 15 now, I joined up when I was 13 as ballmonkey! I don't think the forum has grown up, a lot of older people have gone and a lot of younger (acting) people have arrived. It will never age I don't think.
  5. Yup, it should be here. Nice find though! [locked]
  6. I hopefully have a pre order form Gameplay (I order a few hours they put theirs up) but as it'llprobably only get to me on the Monday I thought I'd go along my local shops. Both said they were getting at least 4 (less than what they got for the 360 launch) but their still not sure how many their getting and are not taking pre orders. I'll have to trust Gameplay for now...
  7. Cool, thanks a lot! That would of taken me hours to figure out. Very much appericiated!
  8. I need some help with German! Now, I am really really bad at German and I know anyone who knows anything about it will think I'm a complete idiot as I don't know some very basic things... I do try though, I just suck at German. Anyway, I'm doing a writing piece and was wondering how you say the following phrases. "I also help out on the croft, our family produce sheep" "I had to dress smart so I bought a new shirt and tie" "Once I have completed my computer games I sell them on an online auction site" "Das war super und I would like to do it when I'm older" (Be a maths teacher that is) Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks
  9. "The greatest thing you'll ever learn is to love and be loved in return." I sure hope I fall in love sometime. All I have is damn lust! So, well - I don't have any opinions on love, seems kind of annoying though. Especially unrequited love and how it makes do silly silly things! Meh.
  10. Wii Console Zelda Extra controller (With Wii Play) + Nunchuck Component Cable My Mother won't let me get any more. Monkey Ball at Christmas though!
  11. We shouldn't judge now - their games might be marvellous. It's a new studio! And one that Disney will be paying a lot of money to make. If they get a few good developers some of the games may be quite good. At least their movies and are good - that'll hopefully translate to lovely stories/cut-scene's on the games.
  12. So, if I want the best looking Wiiness, I should order a Component cable? (which is only £17 from Amazon)
  13. So basically, in 10 years time there will be no turning back. The human race will have - in less than 200 years - doomed the Earth and every single species forever, unless we can get change. As this forum seems to have some of the most intelligent conversations I'd like to see the thoughts of the most important and threatening thing that has ever happened to the planet. Personally, I feel that there is little chance we'll be able to avoid the climatic tipping point. Humans - imo - can not make the sacrifice. When thinking of this, human life seems terribly pointless and meaningless - though this kind of thought doesn't make me sad for some reason. I never thought there being no point made life any crapper. Anyway, I look forward to the views of some folks here. Post away.
  14. Oooh, according to the IGN preview you can
  15. Ok, thanks for all the advice. We're ordering a Samsung as soon as my Mum gets back from wherever she is. Thanks! Edit: Order'd!
  16. I'd say it's gone down since coming here, just a little. Then it has steadily been going down since the Meaningless post thread has come along, I'd say it has advertised spam into conversation. It's still the best Nintendo forum on the web though.
  17. I love my glasses! I wear them all the time, as if I didn't I wouldn't be able to see. >_> Anyway, I have never gotten scratch resistant as it always gives them an annoying greenish, more smudgable lens imo. I'd spend a lot on them - get ones that suit you and wear them all the time, instead of just putting them on when reading the board - it'll help your life as a whole.
  18. Oooh, excellent! I can't wait to drive along to Franz! I am kind of glad this is coming out in February, as if it came out at launch I don't think I would of gotten it. There's to many games I want and I would of never got round to playing it if I bought it and would probably have realized this and never got it at all. However, since it's in February - by then I can finish Zelda, be damn good at Wii Sports and have Super Monkey Ball nearly done by the time it comes out. And yes, I do take ages to complete games.
  19. Holy crap! You got to meet the band that close up! Jealousy... rising... Oooh, I do love a bit of filthy gorgeous, but thank God they cut out Transistor, I would have probably fallen asleep, especially if it was after the incredibly long and boring She's My Man, ugh!
  20. I'm so jealous! I watched that as soon as it came online and it was fabulous! Seemed kinda short but you got to meet the band! Wowzers.
  21. The general vibe that I get form Samsung users and reviews is that, to put it simply, "IT'S REALLY GREAT!". The Sharp seems to be good value for money, and it is good apart from HD performance. My Mum looked at the JVC and was disgusted at it's look, so we won't be getting that. To be honest, out family won't get a HD-DVD player for a good long time, and won't be getting a PS3 or 360. So is good HD performance really that necessary? We don't have Sky either, so I was wondering whether freeview will be getting many (if any) HD channels? As that is the most likely thing we'll be using it for. (Apart from a monitor, woop!)
  22. Well, my family have decided to jump aboard the HDTV train! We've whittled our choices down to three, and here they are (cheapest - for us - first): Sharp LC32GD8E JVC LT32DR7SJ Samsung LE32N73BDX The prices are in about the same range (we have a supplier through my Dad's work to get them) which is between £661.38 and £830. So, really - price doesn't really come into the equation too much. Are any of these much better than the others, any reasons why and the such. All advice appreciated, thanks!
  23. Meh. I think your like a machine. You get born, you live, you die. END. Nothing after, you just cease to exist, you'll have no idea that it's happened as you won't be concious. Also, the universe isn't infinite, it is currently expanding at the speed of light squared, so it has to finite. Beyond it is just... well... who knows. That's the fun of life. ^^
  24. I would say that developers have take advantage of the Wii's capabilities much more than they did pre-DS launch and more than developers still do with the DS. Excitetruck, Super Monkey Ball, Rayman, Mario Galaxy, Wii Sports and Trauma Centre all use the Wii's special controls to give great games which have a lovely control system. So I wouldn't say anyone is scared of it. I would like all Wii games to use the Wii controls, I think that there is ways of enhancing every gaming experience using the remote. I'm positive there is a way MK can be done using it, either using the Excitetruck control scheme or another way. The reason they did MKDS with "normal" controls is - imo - the DS is just a normal console with some extra stuff stuck on. While, I believe the Wii is completely new and that Nintendo should be able to get all of their franchises done using the remote. Infact, I will probably not buy Brawl because it will be similar to Melee and I want new experiences! Not the same as last gen.
