  1. The hype level is rising.
  2. Ubisoft is not political, you heard it here first.
  3. Event Horizon (no not that one) is coming to Switch. Looks like Asteroids but ship versus ship, with RPG and customisation and exploration elements. We should have a review of it at some point, anyway it's out on March 29th.
  4. Yep! And it's too late for me to un-learn now as I've been saying it that way for over two decades. Cracking game though.
  5. R-is-star is how I've always pronounced it. also, PM'ed.
  6. By the way @Happenstance do you still need Castle of Illusion? After going through ALL of my MegaDrive games, turns out that's the only double I now have, that's on your list. PM me your address if so and it's yours for postage or whatever you want to pay for it that's fair, it's complete and in good condition, let me know if you want to see a pic.
  7. Easy... N64 - works exactly like the original system except it has the Expansion Pak built-in and toggleable (for those few games with varying framerates and display resolutions) plus HDMI. If you want a HDMI modded N64 at the moment, you're talking around the same amount as an Analogue system nearly to get it ready fitted. Any extra features would be a bonus, you could use original controllers with it plus some of the excellent newly made pads by Retro Fighters etc. Must be compatible with all main cartridges and the EverDrive 64 obviously but that shouldn't be a problem. Until then, I still with my cheap and cheerful RGB modded N64 with newly made RGB scart cable which works really nicely.
  8. I can't believe the Mega SG is almost here, just as well that I've been sorting out my Sega Shelf today. Not quite sorted yet but almost there, it will be nice to just be able to pick a game off the shelf and play it in the best quality possible. Even though I was intending to connect the Mega CD II to it, I may well just use it standalone just so that I can appreciate all of the Mega Drive games first.
  9. Nice selections by everyone so far. Also, welcome to the forums @Vanilla As for my picks, I'm going to go with... Castlevania 3 Mega Man 2 Ninja Gaiden Super Mario Bros. 3 The Legend of Zelda
  10. Yeah, I believe we get a Master System adapter bundled in and then isn't it Game Gear and Mark III cart adapters are coming later? I was planning on picking up both of those. Although I do own a Master System Converter II but I might just use that with my Sega Multi Mega. I'm hoping one day they will find a way to add another module for 32X support.
  11. I think it was either a pre-order bonus or a magazine item, really cool though! Thanks for sharing. (you've got me looking at Sega pin badges on eBay now)
  12. Sounds good to me. It will be interesting to see which games we end up with, especially as there are a fair few unsung titles on the NES. Even for all the times they have been re-released, there's still a few surprises on that platform when it comes to its games library.
  13. Well, mainly top ten on any particular Nintendo console, we could cover them all over time though... ...let's start with the obvious choice first though, the Virtual Boy.
  14. That's why I said pretty decent. I agree that there were a couple of games that could have been swapped out, it's a mostly "safe" top ten video I'd say but still good. Definitely the absence of one of my favourite game series in there as well, but the game wasn't perfect in many ways so I understand why it's not in there... mostly. I'd like to see them do a GBC top ten as that would definitely be a trickier one to score I reckon. We should totally do some community and staff based N-E top ten thing at some point, pretty sure we did an overall one but I mean a format focused list.
  15. Pretty decent Top Ten video here. Also, one for @Ashley as Rick is in there at around the 05:15 mark, not wanting to spoil the contents of the top ten but of course Kirby's in there! Speaking of Kirby... time to get back to a certain 3DS game I've been meaning to finish.
  16. I'm planning on attaching mine to my original Sega Mega-CD II... at least now I kind of know what I'm letting myself in for.
  17. Great minds think alike, eh @Dcubed? (totally worth it to get that extra item box)
  18. Here it is, Jim's "1,000th" video about Anthem.
  19. I seem to remember that the box and the cart shape for those games are pretty interesting. Might be the same for all Accolade titles but the carts seemed slightly larger and a different shape.
  20. Ordered the standard version on Switch, glad to own it physically! (soon)
  21. Ah well... I'll watch it anyway and maybe sell it while the price is probably good due to renewed series interest. (I had a CEX voucher refund to use up anyway) Yes... I'd heard that about DMC2... but now that just makes me all the more curious to try it at the very least, maybe I'll just coast through it on normal difficulty with a few drinks, I'm sure it'll be at least entertaining in some small way. I'm going to be properly focused for DMC3 though, the main reason I didn't get to play it when it first came out was that I didn't even have a PS2 at the time, but I did make the effort to play through at least some of the classics a few years later, especially Metal Gear Solid 3 which remains one of my favourite games of all time. So I'm expecting nothing less than brilliance from Devil May Cry 3, especially as I already like DMC4 a lot and DMC5 has definitely left a solid impression on me. As for the original DMC? I still like it a fair amount, I also like that looking back it is probably the weirdest of all the games in the series... but in a good way. It has an atmosphere to it which hasn't really been matched in any other game since and it really put the series on the map before DMC2... did what it did. I suppose it makes DMC3 all the more memorable for its time of release, now it seems like we get a proper DMC game every decade or so. This is another reason why I'm so glad that we got Devil May Cry 5... I think we're really lucky to have it and I can't help but wonder if we'll get any more, but I sure hope so! *fingers crossed for the sales figures*
  22. Fair enough... I am a bit embarrased to say the least though as I have always meant to play through the entire series. I am enjoying V but... knowing that I'm probably going to miss out on a huge pay-off if I continue without playing (or replaying) the previous games, I'd rather do it right. And right now does make sense, I do have some time off plus I really do want to get some games played in addition to sorting out some other stuff. So the DMC complete series (not including DmC) challenge gauntlet has been thrown down and accepted. (and yes, I totally ordered the mangas plus the anime series definitely looking forward to them though)
  23. I have it, I've been playing it a fair bit inbetween other games, in fact it's the first time I've been back to my 3DS in a while and I'm loving it. I agree, it really is a fantastic port and although the devilish mode isn't the hardest, it still keeps you coming back being that you can't get hit even once. There should be a review coming up... not too long after the weekend. Have you tried out the new mini-games yet?
