Backs were constantly turned and none of them ever moved. You mean how they moved between corners of rooftops and buidling alcoves for dramatic effect.
-
OK so they've ruined the angels! Now they only move when the director wants them to or not!... LAME!!

Yeah I don't get all the Kid Icarus hype, but then I never played it... however, Pit was undoubtedly cool in SSBB... just just based on what I know of the character from that, I'd like a game based around him (regardless of the NES title). My List: All the obvious Nintendo franchises... F-Zero, Starfox, Kirby, PilotWings, 1080, Waverace, Mario Tennis/Golf etc... 1) Shenmue 3 - Absolutely needs to happen!! 2) Diddy Kong Racing 2 - (Mario Kart Wii fun aside) DKR is possibly the finest racer I've ever played! Fantastic cast of original characters... backed up by the fact Banjo and Conker went on to bigger things!... something Timber was also capable of! Absolutely brilliant courses/track design, and great hub world... And of course Karts, Hovercraft and Planes!! in races all at the same time... which added a whole new layer of depth/startegy and different routes/shortcuts for everyone to take, and somehow everything perfectly balanced itself out! 3) Powerstone - Outside of SSBM, this is the best, most fun and enjoyable fighting game I've ever played. The interactive/destructable 3D arena worked perfectly, the fighters were full of personality and character, the Powerstone collecting added to the frantic action and the Super Moves were brilliant! 4) Zelda: Wind Waker - yes we've had Twilight Princess, and yes the cel-shaded look has somewhat continued on to the DS titles, but a fully fleged animated cartoon Zelda adventure needs to once again grace the Nintendo home console at some time in the future. 5) Banjo and Kazooie 3 - A proper platforming sequel please!! and perhaps not old enough to be on this list... but Zack & Wiki and Little Kings Story, are two games perhaps unlikely to get sequels, that do infact need sequels!

As much work as they can give Zelda the better!

As far as I can tell EVERYWHERE online is sold out of this, apart from possibly Argos, who have it in a two game bundle at a massive £49.99! Ebay may be your best bet, but I think it's pretty rare on there aswell! So maybe just if you ever happen to see it in town or in a supermarket!

Personally I'd rather they didn't make any of those franchises into films and put the money into 1 or 2 of their high budget Marvel titles! I just can't see the little known characters getting all that much interest at the cinema. You could say Iron Man was a relative unknown to the average person, but that film got the budget to make it the masterpiece it is... without a good budget, aren't these a bit of a waste of time?

Yeah, though Smedley's always been telling him what lines to drive, I can remember them talking about it other years. I think in 2008 he just had the perfect car to suit his driving style, and he's still a fantastic driver, just maybe not as good over a full tank race distance, and (as Smedleys guidance demonstrates) not as naturally gifted as Alonso!

Went to Blenheim Palace yesterday...

Plus if it was crap, just ignore it exists... if it was good, then great!
-
By the way, did anyone else question both Hamilton and Alonso's moves entering the pitlane? To me it looked like they both cut the corner and gaining an advantage (*yawn*... but still) over the car they overtook, stealing a place... *Apologies for the music!* Am I missing something?... because all 4 wheels are definately off the line of the track. Personally I'm not all that fussed, but they've enforced penalties for that before.

Really great work Spune!! You have a great way of bringing them to life... be it the shading of Mario to make him round and lifelike, full of character, the lava spray throughout the Metroid scene, and the expression and dynamic lighting on Link. Very Nice!!
-
Seeing as they could just run it off the same engine, why has there not been another HotD yet?
-
Holy That's one of the most amazing images I've ever seen... not often you get to see something like that! So otherworldly! Mordor would be proud!!

The lower the altitude, the more air resistance, so the planes use up more fuel and can't fly as far.

N-Europe London Meet Sat July 24th 2010
Retro_Link replied to ReZourceman's topic in General Chit Chat
Tbf Rez you have a very outgoing confident personality, where as for some people, sitting with a bunch of 'strangers' finding it awkward to strike up a conversation is probably a bit petrifying. Some sort of activity might help engage everyone with one another. -
Not having been a Schumacher fan, it certainly is refreshing watching the current situation though! It's strange to see newbies like Alguersuari and Petrov legitamately being able to overtake him for position!
-
Urgh don't get me started on that! You're always gonna get those idiots! God knows I've had to read my fair share of it over the years (from moronic forum members) being a Kimi supporter! Especially from the 'betrayed' McLaren fanboys! If Kimi didn't deserve his win in 2007... because of McLaren supposedly 'gifting' it to him... then Alonso didn't deserve his title in 2005 (when McLaren's unreliability 'gifted' it to him) and Hamilton didn't deserve his title in 2008 (when Ferrari's unreliability and stupidity 'gifted' it to him) and the DDD 'gifting' Jenson his 2009 win etc... So many things have to conspire together for a driver to become WDC, but you've also got to have that extra special something to be in the fight in the first place. Sure Schumacher may have had it easy for a few years, but there were also years when he was pushed right down to the wire and he came out on top... and again reliability and luck plays a part. Michael's success largely came about from his ability at building the team around him... everything was setup to his preferences. He hasn't got that same luxury now. 2011 could be a very different story however! Michael was saying yesterday that these Bridgestones are different to the ones he's used to. Raikkonen and Alonso had the same trouble in 2007 having to make the switch from Michellin, and again drivers struggled in 2008 getting heat into the tyres for qualifying. But these fanboys are too narrow minded to see the bigger picture.

N-Europe London Meet Sat July 24th 2010
Retro_Link replied to ReZourceman's topic in General Chit Chat
I didn't go last year. And no... from what I understand, everyone met up for like 4 hours and then went. So if I do go this year, I'd hope people would be up for doing more. -
N-Europe London Meet Sat July 24th 2010

I don't think the meet lasted much longer than that last year! It does sound a good idea to plan it out better this year. -
Yeah that was great when the Daleks retreated back from The Doctor! Acting or Writing... I'd say probably a bit of both tbh. I think yesterdays episode was unfortunately Matt Smiths worst performance. I didn't find his deliveries all that convincing at times and there was one occasion where I felt he said the line completely wrong (can't remember what now)... But I also think the writing was quite average aswell, something I don't think was helped by trying to fit The Daleks into a single episode. It's wierd because in some ways the episode felt really rushed, there didn't seem enough explainations, development, motive etc... but in other ways the episode really felt like it dragged on and personally as I've said I found it quite boring and predictable. If it's true that the Daleks have to feature in every series, then hopefully we won't see them again now until the Series 2 finale... or even better, just a video message from them during Series 2 (if that fulfills the contract) and bring them back at the end of Series 3!
-
Yeah I'd definately agree that they've been misused, and in situations/episodes that probably would have been better with a different or new enemy instead. They do feel to have been shoe horned in to some occasions, just because, they're the Daleks. But I also wonder if they are best suited to double episodes, or just films even. You say 'always dramatic with a new Doctor', but to me, yesterdays episode didn't feel dramatic at all. It was as if the Daleks didn't even know it was a new Doctor, and they're performance just felt really weak. I think the new look is definately a good thing as far as the Daleks go, because honestly they couldn't get any worse atm... it's definately helped reinvigorate them and given them the slightest bit of credibility back... because we don't really know what to expect from these new Dalek's yet... which helps to put a slight scare factor back into them. Better that they're taller/bigger, but I'm not sure power ranger colours was the best choice... doesn't help make them look scary (not that they were before), but you'll certainly see them coming now! Yes they're an Arch Nemesis, but maybe for that reason they are best left for big one-off dramatic occasions every few years. So they really give an impact each time that Doctor vs. The Daleks spectacle comes back round, when you're least expecting it!
-
Yes but that was the revival... it's fine to have episodes bringing each classic villian back, but not to keep recycling in rubbish ways and clearly they just don't have anywhere near the same impact anymore! It was also to introduce them to a new audience... who I imagine just find them pathetic as a villian already.

I'm sure they're packed with people trying, but no chance of using Eurostar or Ferry's?

I honestly don't think anyone has a clue when flights will resume and airports will just keep guessing and cancelling, guessing and cancelling. Volcano info that we know: - It last erupted 200 years ago and kept emitting for 200 years. - This eruption was 20x more powerful than the last one. Wouldn't get your hopes up too much! Haven't been keeping up with the thread, where are you going? Anyone else just see testicles when they glance at Dannyboys avatar?
