Deus Ex: Human Revolution Directors Cut
Retro_Link replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
The trophy was in the original, I just didn't get it first time round... don't think I even checked Megan's computer before. Someone needs to give Jenson the address of that woman who had Megan and his dog, so he can go and kick her ass!! That should be the next DLC. Yeah the double takedown was in there, I don't think I ver had the situation arise though. Hopefully get to try it out this time through -
Get Deus Ex, fantastic game! A few of us are playing it atm. I just finished the PS3 version and then bought the PS3 Directors Cut which I started today. Come join!! The thing that extends the battery life if a replacement third party battery pack I think. If you do want Assassins Creed though, 4 > 3 so everyone says!

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Directors Cut

Man the Directors Cut seems to get off to an easier start. Just infiltrating the Sarif labs, and there's just some random dead guy on the roof with a Sniper Rifle there for you! don't remember him being there before, but maybe he was... and there's also the double shotgun by the door, don't think it was that before. On the whole there seems to be more pick-ups scattered around atm and I don't even think the blue Remote Explosives were even in the original version, but I already have several of those pocketed. Of course I'm doing a stealth run so none of this stuff is actually of any use, by the weapons buyer and seller will be happy :p Having two energy cells really does help to. There were numerous times before when I'd sneak up behind a guy and couldn't perform a takedown as my battery was charging leading to 'oh shit what do I do now!! and either retreat as fast as I could or whip out the stun-gun'. Also being able to take out two guys in succession as opposed to having to wait behind the second twiddling my thumbs whilst the battery recharged! haha. The game looks noticeable brighter and more detailed Think there was an added helicopter in the background fly in when Malik dropped me off. Also got the trophy I hadn't in Megan's lab before at the start of the game. -
You can tell Nintendo what game they should make next - What is it?

Made a 'screen grab' of my dream cel-shaded Pokemon Snap, open world exploration game... -
Yeah I was gonna say, there aren't exactly a lot of games to discuss and I think that is the overriding problem. I know nothing about the tech/sales side either and I myself find that boring. People don't have game threads to populate their time and therefore talk turns to other things, like sales and the success of the Wii U. If there were the games to play, we'd be off playing them, coming back and discussing them. But outside of Mario what has there been lately? Releases are spread so far and wide on the Wii U at the moment. What games are people supposed to be discussing at the moment? The only popular thread atm again is Mario. As we've just been talking about, there aren't even VC games to discuss, as the ones that are up people have played a million times before. I think this is why people like to constantly talk about third party support too, because everyone would like to have more games to play and things to talk about? The other problem is that the lack of games means not everyone on here actually has a Wii U either, which is a secondary factor in limiting discussion of what games there are. And again why people bring up topics such as what Nintendo should be doing, because they'd like reason to own the console! It doesn't help when it gets misinterpreted either. Also making a comparison to a movie forum is difficult because there are films released literally ALL the time. I've been really enjoying the Deus Ex thread lately, because it's a game I can get involved in (albeit it's the PS3 version, but I thought I'd play it at the same time as others in the Wii U thread so that I'd actually have a game I can talk about with people, and it's been a lot of fun). But again, there's only a couple of us in there.

Come on really, how bad can they be?? Like was said, isn't a lot of the work done, and there's just a few difficult games?

Have you figured out how to get Zeke to free the woman and get put in jail on one of your runs yet? No Vita here yet. I would like one to play Tearaway, but a Wii U and PS4 Purchase would come ahead of it. How close am I to getting you to pick up a cheap PS3 so you can play Thief!? and I can also recommend you a bunch of other great games! -
I have a feeling the VAST majority of consumers would rather an extensive VC full of NES/SNES/N64 and even Gamecube games as quickly as possible, compared to games released at a snails pace, even if it meant they didn't come 100% perfect. If that's Nintendo's mentality then they need to change it given the current situation. The Wii U is struggling and a full Nintendo VC would be a HUGE attraction! People would be talking about all the classic games they're loving playing again and it would excite others to purchase the console. Nintendo can always patch the issues out over time.

I've deleted the continuation of this Mario vs Knack thing, as it's getting tiresome. As was suggested before when it spilled out of the Sales thread into other threads on the forum, if you really want to debate the sales of Knack vs. Mario then go and create a thread for it, as it seems like it would get a lot of use. It seems to be a favorite topic.

Whoop! Directors Cut came -
That one game should be a first party game every week and then 2 or 3 third party games.
-
But it should still be being done at a far greater rate than games were appearing on the Wii and it sure doesn't feel like that!? I just went into the Virtual Console thread, 'This weeks game is Contra 3'... It's not one NES/SNES game a week is it?!
-
I've been meaning to ask, because this is the only Gaming forum I go on... what actually is the situation like on other forums?... Surely not everyone on those can be happy with what Nintendo are doing at the moment? Do you not get the same sort of discussions happening elsewhere? If there's something that other forums are doing that we are not, then any suggestions would be more than welcome.
-
... I'm sorry what?... that can't be right?? So haven't they already done the work when they put them on the Wii? the only thing left is configuring it to Wii U?
-
@Hero\-of\-Time's mention of PunchOut Wii made me youtube the game, and I refound this quality trailer!
-
It's true what they said they've been given bigger and bigger franchises by Nintendo an it's exciting to think what they've been given next. You'd have to think it'll be a Wii U project
-
I LOVED that game!! Only second on the N64 to Diddy Kong Racing!

It's cringeworthy to think that within a year or two of it's launch the PS4 will have the vast majority of the PS1/PS2/PS3 backcatalogue available to it via Playstation Now, where as 1 year into the Wii U life and there's literally just the same old same old NES and SNES games on there (and not even that yet, ALttP only just got there) plus a couple of nice additions like Earthbound. It even seemed like the Wii got it's virtual console built up quicker than this... maybe we were just all to busy playing Wii Sports to notice, but Nintendo really should have been on the ball out of the gate with the Wii U. We should be anticipating Gamecube games now, let alone not even having one N64 game!

Decent, though probably not quite as good as I was hoping for. Took me about three or so hours to complete in one sitting, it's pretty straightforward. Controls were a little bit clunky, but I expected this, and one of the puzzles wasn't very clear, but for the most part I enjoyed it. There's a really nice use of music, and the game really is beautiful at times, I wanted to take screen grabs! Fixed camera's create some very picturesque scenes and there is a river in this game that has some of the best water I have ever seen in a game. The art design of Chapter 7 is stunning!! Running and exploring my way through that level was the high-point of the game. Chapter 4 was also really charming Glad I played it just to see the art design really and once completed it gives you a reason to play through again by adding collectibles.

Then watch the IGN gameplay walkthrough, you'll come away impressed. I think with the Wii U a lot of people presumed that Nintendo's third party relationship has been so bad for so long that at some point it had to improve?... new console, new hope... well that and the fact Reggie bullshitted us during the Wii U reveal that the Wii U was going to be the all encompassing console. A lot of people are saying atm that the situation is the same between the Gamecube and the Wii U... however, the Gamecube ar least got some incredible third party exclusive to fill in the gaps. Right now it's looking like the Wii U wont even get this.

So did Sonic Lost World, does that mean you won't give the next Sonic game a look. Like I said, different development studio, and I'm pretty sure SEGA will be doing everything they can to more than make up for the last Alien game.

Another multi-platform/generation game that will be missing a Wii U version [tweet]420718994174124033[/tweet] and before anyone says it's not a big loss because of Colonial Marines, this game is by a different team and is an incredible looking survival horror... http://www.n-europe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=54064

The Story Of The GameCube: Emily Rodgers Article

Good thing I wasn't drinking anything when I read this :p -
Would be kinda cool if on that level only you could pick a second character (should you want) to tag in and out! :p
