  1. Do it, MoKING. Make the board. Do eet naaaw.
  2. You bitches be tripping! Lacking in entertainment and being unrewarding are two things you should never associate with XpertEleven. There's a lot of laughter to be had. Also, what is unentertaining about beaten your fellow friends at an online game and then getting to rub their faces in it with your gloating skills? I love it!
  3. Oh, shit. Florence! Quick, somebody better post some great music, quick! Heard this in the car yesterday and had it in my head since.
  4. ... Keep it up, Pikey! Massive day of football tomorrow. Could decide who ultimately stays up and who goes down.
  5. Watched the GB game and thought it was pretty good in parts. Did think the game went pretty slow in the second half, Senegal had a lot of the ball and looks better with it, but not a bad first game. Can't believe the amount of assault the Senegal team were allowed to get away with, Bellamy was hacked down and should've got a penalty.
  6. Hmm, I'm not so sure. This game has possibly missed the boat, for me. What we have to remember as well is that there will be other shooters that will come around before this comes out, like ZombiU. I also worry that they've spent too much time on this, almost like over-baking a cake. Meh, will see. Still pissed it's so far away. Can definitely see myself just giving it a miss now. Also, the more I think about it, the more I don't really want to play a shooter with dual analogue, again.
  7. True, but if you compare that to some of the more recent Zelda games, there is a far greater degree of hand-holding. It almost makes things too simple. With Super Metroid, you're never really told at any stage where to go or what to do. There's a fantastic article that is in the Super Metroid thread in the VC board which emphasises this. With Xenoblade, you are told how things work, but like many games, you learn more through doing. This is definitely one of those games where you pick things up as you go along. Therefore, the hand-holding isn't necessary. The satisfaction comes from beating the games, yes. But, you must first understand how it works before you can beat it. It's like learning a song on the guitar, you can't learn anything unless you figure out first how to make the different sounds. Exactly the same in this, you figure out what the strengths of each character are, what the benefits of using certain moves are, etc. Nothing is "thrown" at you at once. That's a pretty big exaggeration. Yes, it's not an experience where you can just sit back and coast. This game isn't about that. You will need to invest time in it and your full attention. Just for the record, I hardly ever play JRPGs and I'm roughly at the same place you are in the game. It's definitely a breath of fresh air and it's a marvel on multiple levels. Give it time and attention, and you'll probably love it. Also, bear in mind, we are barely through the game at all, so it's wrong to assume we'll know it inside out by now...
  8. Odwinica may be young in playing staff, but their manager is over-the-hill. You are the Kenny Dalglish of XpertEleven. Good in the past.
  9. I totally disagree with you on this. What I have enjoyed most about this game is that you have to use your head. You are given a world and it is up to you to go out and explore it. There's a lot to learn. Hand holding wasn't needed in the past for games such as A Link To The Past or Super Metroid. This game is old school in that respect, but so incredibly welcome. There is a lot of information to take in. No doubt about it. But, like anything that is worthwhile, it makes sense the more time you invest in it. It's a very deep game, and there are a million things I still don't understand, but I know that I will eventually.
  10. Hahahaha. I listened to TDKR soundtrack on youtube. Final song just feels so brilliant at the end. Music is brilliant. What is everyone's favourite scene or part from this trilogy?
  11. Join XpertEleven so that the MIGHTY DRAGOOOOO will make mince-meat of you with their silky smooth passing and offensive tactics. DRAGOOOOO are offensive in more than one sense of the word. Join now. Join. Or we will steal your parents.
  12. Pretty much this. There's not a lot more that Tom Hardy could have done to improve the character. Bane and the Joker are dangerous but in different ways. I also wondered if Heath Ledger received the plaudits because of his death, but after watching The Dark Knight again recently, I can safely say that this is not the case. Can't remember the last time I've been to the cinema and been completely absorbed by a performance like that. We will not see another one like it for a long time. The quality of performances has been excellent in this trilogy. Particularly the villains.
  13. I know, Odwin is just nervous because his team are stale, as are his tactics. DRAGOOOOO are the future.
  14. I'm not exaggerating when I say that there is nothing I liked in this game. Not a single thing.
  15. I don't want to go down, because it will look shameful if all 3 promoted teams go down together. So, screw you guys! I'm staying up. @Mr_Odwin, I'm Coming For You!
  16. Words can't express at how much I hated this game back in the day. I was such a big fan of the Megadrive games, found them addictive and had to be dragged away from them. But, everything about this was awful. Gameplay was bland and irritating, music was so utterly poor for a Sonic game, and the camera in many sections did make me feel pretty ill at times. Not sure why anyone would want to play this again. This has the accolade of being the game which killed my love for Sonic.
  17. Yeah, I read this and felt disgusted. Government should be ashamed of themselves. It's the cold way in which they handled this which worries me. Bluddy hell, if they deported every single person in this country who had been in a fight, we'd be very light on numbers. The matter was resolved, he paid a fine, which was his punishment at the time. Matter should be resolved. It reflects very badly on the Armed Forces and also the Government of this country.
  18. Anyone else completely lost interest in this? I'm sure it'll perk up at some point. But, I'm not very bothered about this anymore. It's taken/taking far too long. I don't really see what they could be adding to this to justify its February release.
  19. I don't really know a great deal about motorsports and cars. But, what is special about this? It looks very ordinary to me.
  20. But who is to say that the cost would be the same? What about multiplayer? Would you have to pay for each option separately, too? So what exactly do you get when you have it "for free", just the first level? I don't see what is wrong with the current package that we have and that has been around for a reasonable amount of time. Pay a price, play the game. Of course, I do think some developers and publishers are taking liberties with this, releasing yearly updates of the same game, releasing DLC at a cost when perhaps it should have been available on the game disc. I totally disagree with this. Here's why: Under the examples you have just given, you say that if we don't like the first level or first 20 mins, we just give up. Well, what about games that start intentionally slowly, or games that don't wow you from the start? Or games that you have to sink time into to fully appreciate. If we did what you did, then we could be missing out on some fantastic games that way. Also, how intrusive would this system be? At the moment, I am playing Xenoblade. It's seamless, there are very little loading times, and the game is pretty heavy on the use of exploration, but also cut-scenes. What happens if this new model came in and I reached a new area, would I need to pay then? What about when an awesome cut-scene just kicks in, which is then followed by a payment screen? Finally, with this system, we are judging games on the quantity within it, rather than the quality of it. I paid full price for ExciteTruck and I'd do it again. But, that doesn't have as much content as something like Super Smash Bros. Brawl. How exactly would they go about quantifying that? Yes, this system does have a place with MMO. But, it shouldn't be applied to every genre out there (just because somebody "thinks" it can be done).
  21. The sense of scale in this game is incredible. You genuinely do feel that you are travelling over a vast land, rather than a series of places joined together randomly. It's cohesive. And...oh my God, the lack of loading times...how?! How is this possible?
  22. I've put a few more hours into this and am on my way to save JuJu. Loving the game, it's really addictive. The music is just heaven. Puts the music in Skyward Sword to shame.
  23. Great game! I came back from 3-1 down against Rising Phoenix to grab a point. 3-3. I contemplated putting out a team that would go for the draw, but Dragooooo plays to win! So close at the bottom. It will most likely go down to the last game. I feel that if I can win one out of the two games, that should be enough to keep me up. Two games at home. It's in our hands!
  24. I would contemplate putting that entire post in spoiler tags, dude. But, yes. I totally agree. The person who wrote his lines deserves so much credit. So incredibly well written, and Hardy delivered them perfectly. What I loved particularly is the tone in his voice. He changed it at just the right moments to make the character seem calm, yet tough. Intelligent, but also brutal in equal measure.
