*huuuuugs* Communication failure seems to be pretty common in call centres (for the irony!) Kinda thankful that i work in a small call centre. Even if everyone didn't come in i could probably just about cope by myself. But urgh, hate busy days.

I hear yahs. I was pretty "bright" when it came to programming, my classmates always asked me to do it for them, or copied the teachers "sample" and amended. Basically means you need little programming knowledge at all. It sad but it seems that education is going that way, and people are leaving college or uni, or even further without much of a clue of how to actually program anything at all. Its little wonder employers are so unlikely to want to take on graduates (even though there are a some very talented people). I know graduates get taken on in IT companies here (n.ireland) but they generally get base pay - around 15-17k. It's all about experience and proving your worth

A big company like game would have a finance dept I would think, everything goes there and is organised and farmed out. I would say every shop probably has a certain number of "hours" that they can employ, decided on what kind of cover is needed. The NHS works that way, they have 4 WTE (working time equivalents - aka a 37&1/2 full time hour worker) in a department and they can use this to employ staff, and temps depending on staff levels.

Why on house insurance?! Its not even worth claiming, because the cost goes up a lot, probably more than the cost of the phone. (and there's an excess fee too)

Bollox. My car was in at the car place (getting fixed) and they've sorted out my window (it was catching on the seals) but its still making the stupid noise. They cleaned and adjusted the brakes, so now I'm worrying that its worse, and its going to be expensive to fix it

I'd say run with it but use caution. She may just be excited about a new thing happening. If she keeps at the obsessive texting, and you still like her, you need to mention it in a subtle way and ask her to stop the intensity. (obviously this is not something you want to say on the first date though!)

I'm not really a buyer of designers in general, but I know one things for sure - buying crappy cheap bras from la senza/topshop/etc are only useful if you have nothing there to support converse are in high heels now.... for the love of god At the end of the day if you HAVE got money to spend, and that's what you like, fair do's.
-
you have to actually pay for a decent bra!! Hey wait... why are we arguing with male gamers about bra quality..?! (cause we all know you love going out and buying bras, right boys?)

My heart just dropped when the old geezer knocked 4 times. (i watched the catchup episode hence the lateness =P)

I'm thinking, you learn attitudes from your parents. These dossy families tend to all behave in the same way and have a similar lazy-as-shit attitude to work. Not to say that applies to everyone.

I have one too *high five* My mum still has one from when it was in fashion in the 80s!! =P

I didn't really state exclusivity to anything, so I'll thank you not to make it up as you go along. k? edit: @ goafer, i've had several ipods: video one (1st gen) had a hard drive fail after 13 months really really old one that I had to fix myself after about 15 months A wee old gen nano that failed after a day The newest one I have (a nano, the new curve gen) is okay, but i reckon that's cause its got flash memory as opposed to a hdd which is more likely to succumb to failz. That and it hasn't had a huge amount of use.

That's only indicative of how you walk on your feet. If you have a habit of leaning on one side of your foot than the other that will happen. (but yeah I agree its pretty hideous looking when they are ruined)

I didn't isolate those comments to ipods only, did i? (wheres that raised eyebrow smiley when i need it)
-
haha agreed (and I also have an ipod) Here's why: -The common misconception that all mp3 players are ipods. -The all too famous "Apple Tax" -The way the products seem to break months after the warantee runs out. -The stupid way "ipod" is capitalised. -How somehow having an Apple product makes you a better person.. Yeah they are good products (on the most part) but they have as many flaws as any other players...

Ugg boots are the most comfortable shoes in existence and are WATERPROOF. bug eyed sunnies are teh awesome for blocking out the sun. And probably hiding a hangover - hence popularity =P

the ol' credit cards are scawieeee. My first card had interest rate of 34.9%. Crazy! >_< -- I feel really down today for no reason at all. Nothing worse than the usual, but sometimes I just feel like cracking. Been having a lot of migraine auras lately which seems to just zap away my sanity.. oh and to make matters worse, I forgot to take my meds and my back is in constant spasm.

New year is for evaluation. I evaluate that 2009 sucked. I'll try not to delude myself that 2010 will be any different!

Same thing, watching the time go in with family, except ++ alcohol. I was but a mere 13 year old in 1999 =P -
you can see specialist dentists that are legally allowed to do wisdom teeth. That and it shouldn't be a problematic removal (which would require serious surgery) i'm pretty sure they have to refer if they see any complications arising. So don't worry pet, it'll be fine *loads of good luck hugs*

My year has been tough. I've gotten through a lot, my health in ways has improved and in others worsened. My job is much the same and has been all year (well at least I've got a job in these harsh times) I've had one major success though - most of the year was spent learning to drive and passing in September. Yeay! ^_^ It's really hard to believe that its nearly 2010. Madness.
