Co-op would differ from multiplayer though, two people would have to control the same army, unlike in multiplayer where you would each control your own army.

Does anyone remember when this game was first shown? At Leipzig (sp?) they had some kiosks where people could play lan multiplayer with two Wiis, I think that means that the game will only have lan play for offline competetive games. When you think about it, Battalion Wars was a very complex game with a lot of things on the screen at once, so I think split-screen multiplayer is out of the question. Does anyone know how many people are able to play online at once together?

Why the hell did you buy that game in the first place? Why did I buy it? Why did Ubisoft make it so crap? The answer is; trade in Red Steel and if you like arcady racers but aren't too bothered about not being able to play much with your friends then yes.

Matt's a hardcore gamer we all know that, and he's saying that he knows about new games that are making him pretty happy, so no it's not that the Wii is getting more games, it's that the Wii is getting some awesome games we don't know about and we should be excited, and it's probable that these games are not new 'touch-generations-like' crap but proper epic games, because those are the games Matt likes. So Tellyn just because you have some sort of grudge against Matt doesn't mean you have to kill everyone else's mood.

That's pretty funny because it's the only recent Final Fantasy that Tetsuya Nomura had nothing to do with the artwork, I guess you're not a fan of his anime-like styles.

Matt's just trying to throw some fuel into that hype machine he has, I can't believe people are actually annoyed by this, it's not as if the Wii's line-up is that bad at the moment, he's only saying that things are on the up. The interesting thing is, Matt normally teases a bit before something is revealed or before there is a big let-down, since he talks about GDC at the end of his post I'm expecting something cool now.

Matt gets more shit than he deserves; everyone originally started hating him because he posted all the facts about the Wii being no were near as powerful as the competition.... Which turned out to be true... Matt's also revealed that it looks like friend codes are going to return... Which is very much looking like what's gonna happen. (Pokemon Battle Revolution) Matt may have said some stuff in the past that has got fanboy's hopes up, but then they've been crushed by the harshness of reality, but normally he's more accurate than anyone else out there. I don't see why not to believe him right now and I'm pretty hyped to find out what these games are.

1. N64 - The reason why I am playing games and why I will continue to play games for the rest of my life. 2. PS2 (with backwards compatibility) - Gave me Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Metal Gear Solid and Shadow of the Colossus, the PS2 has fantastic games for everyone and should not be overlooked. 3. Gamecube - Riding on my love for the N64 it produced many fantastic sequels to games I loved and also had, argugably, two of some of the greatest games ever; Metroid Prime and Resident Evil 4.

Apparently Vaan is just as annoying... It seems like Final Fantasy leads only work when they're moody bastards (the exception being Zidane), apparently the lead in XIII is meant to be a female version of Cloud.

If I didn't have such a problem with VIII I'd say X was my worst Final Fantasy, I even thought X-2 was better. X really was like a movie at times, a long, un-interesting movie.

Cool, I never saw that on IGN, well the Anglo Isles are obviously Britain but in the original the Solar Empire was meant to be Japan, so I don't think it's directly mimicking the Iraq War. I have a good feeling about this game, after a fantastic original it can only get better, especially with online play.

I really should play one of the 2D Final Fantasies, but I don't want to spend so much on re-done GBA games, they'll probably be on the Virtual Console in a year. Is Final Fantasy III on the DS worth getting though?

Yeah you could fly anywhere in the maps in the orginal. It feels a lot like the experience you get in Battlefield when flying aircrafts but the controls aren't as sensitive.

You're think of City of Desperation, it and it's sequel where the city was that time flooded never made it to Europe. They were meant to be pretty good with good set-pieces. Disaster's graphics look a bit dodgy in area's though, it could still turn out well.

Considering that's Stonehenge it's probable that one of the new armies will resemble England (e.g. western frontier = North America) and that there'll be missions with maps that are similar to our countryside.

WHAT? I thought it wasn't possible... I guess I'm proud to say I've done everything possible on Kingdom Hearts 2. I'm also proud to say I nearly got A ranks on everything in Sonic Adventure 2, (one day I will get that 3D Green Hill Zone level).

Give IX a chance Wes, normally people who like VII seem to like IX aswell, the battle system isn't too complex and it has a lot of good characters.

Final Fantasy VII did spawn Advent Children and I thought Spirits Within was terrible.
