This is how i see it next gen: Japan: 1. Nintendo 2. Sony 3. Microsoft America: 1. Microsoft 2. Sony 3. Nintendo Europe: 1. Sony 2. Microsoft 3. Nintendo Japan: With the phenomenal success of the DS in Japan it has been proved that being creative and innovative does create success. I can see the Revolution coming first definitely in Japan if it is released soon after the PS3. The reason for the PS3 coming is second is because this time it has competition at it's launch, even though the Playstation brand has a big fanbase the fact that it is the most expensive and hardest console to develope for next generation means: High costs at and not many titles either at launch. The reason for Xbox coming last is because it just doesn't appeal to the Japanese market, it isn't popular and it's only killer titles will be Dead or Alive and Final Fantasy 11. America: Xbox is way popular in America, as a matter of fact it would have probably beaten the PS2 this gen if they were launched at the same time. But next gen not only will Xbox be first but titles like Perfect Dark Zero and Halo 3 are sure to put Xbox 360 in no.1 spot. The reason for PS3 being knocked off the top spot is because of its price and lack of killer titles at its launch but later on it will pick up after a price drop or two and Sony will have a somewhat distorted smile their faces. The reason for Revolution coming last is because most of the Americans will simply not get it and for it being last to be released. Europe: Playstation comes first, reason: Europe loves Playstation. Xbox comes second, reason: Being first to be released next gen and having more 'bloody' titles than Nintendo. Nintendo comes last, reason: Europe hates Nintendo.

Sure Retro will probably scrap the lock-on concept for Metroid Prime 3 for sensored aiming, but Nintendo are too proud to ever change the way their franchises are just so they can be on the same level as the competition(e.g. Mario will never have a gun like Shadow, Rachet and Jak do). Metroid Prime 3 is the third part of a trilogy, you have to understand that since it is connected to the previous Primes it will probably be about exploring and searching again. Maybe in the future there will be a spin off Metroid game which will be all about shooting and killing but it won't be like that in Prime 3. But hopefully Nintendo will add some awesome multiplayer and online modes. :yes:

Personally i never liked the name Revolution, the console needs to have a name that is comfortable to say in a sentece e.g.: "Go away i'm playing the Playstation," sounds much better than; "Go away i'm playing the Revolution." And it needs to be able to be shortend like how Playstation 2 becomes PS2. But it also needs to sound distant from the competition.

I immeadiately thought Quake 4 when i saw that image too.

It was probably in early development around E3 so most likely it'll be out early 2006.

I have to agree, normally my favourite game is whatever game i'm in the mood to play. Normally i'd say Resident Evil 4 but at the moment i'm hooked on Hard mode without radar on Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes.

Sega copied Nintendo on that, Nintendo showed the N64 controller way too early, so Sega quickly copied it a bundled it with NiGHTs before Nintendo released the N64.

What were the in-game graphics really like? Some of the images i have seen don't do the game justice, does it match up in graphical quality to Resident Evil 4?

I can't trust your Wikipedia source because it is unreliable since Wikipedia is all about submitting information this info could wrong a source like IGN would be more reliable. And Your gamespot source says this: "TOKYO--Last week, Sega thrilled millions of Sonic fans by announcing it was developing a game starring the blue hedgehog for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360." It does not say 'It will not be coming out for the revolution'. And i can't access your SEGA source because it would take my computer ages to download the Japanese text. Also Lego Star Wars was released this year for X-Box and PS2, it wasn't released for the gamecube or announced for it either but last month at the games developer conference eidos had a stand which had a playable version of Lego Star Wars for the gamecube which is due to be released in the next few months. So even though your sources say 'for X-Box 360 and Playstation 3' it doesn't mean it won't come out for the Revolution. Any way why do you so strongly believe it won't be coming out for the Revolution, it seems like Nintendo deserve this title more than the other two console considering all the success the Gamecube has given Sonic.

Well we now know what the controller is but there is still a hell of a lot more stuff we're still waiting to find out. So here are some questions i've been pondering myself and i want to know what you guys think yourselves. 1.When do you think the Revolution will be released?(Japan, USA, Europe) 2.How much do you think the Revolution will cost? 3.What will be included with the Revolution? 4.How much will the controller cost? 5.What will you get in a controller package? 6.What colours do you expect at the launch? 7.What colour do you want? 8.What game are you looking forward to the most? 1.I think September 2006 Japan, September/October USA, November Europe. 2.£180, it can't be too close to the 360 core package. 3.The console, stand, motion detector thingy, controller, 'nunchuck', 'shell' and a demo disc. 4.£35, i wouldn't expect it to be cheap. 5.The 'remote', 'nunchuck' and the 'shell'. 6.Black and white, silver possibly later on. 7.There's something very attractive about the lime green colour on the console and the conroller. 8.Mario 128.

It has neither been confimed or denied, but it is probable that we could see this game in some form or the other on the Revolution. Maybe there will be an entirely new Sonic game for the Revolution altogether, but considering Sonic's success on Nintendo platforms it's likely that Sonic will be on the Revolution.
