What a ridiculous price increase, is this rising costs or yet more arrogance from Sony knowing(thinking) they can get away with it?! That'll be me done with plus; never use it anyway, the games are 95% cack; and only battlefront 2 interests me anyway, so I'll play that as much as possible before my sub runs out then done. If only the provided a much much cheaper option with limited features, or even just for online play. Prefer that. £50 is a stupid amount of money!

Yeah me too, around about now would be a perfect time for it as the only big Switch games are multiplayer. Big shame if it launches in the middle of the crazy season.

Although they’re very different things so not sure my comparison works; Nintendo app isn’t buggy, it does exactly what it’s set out to do. It’s just a very early version of what it will become, I understand that. Also, it’s free. And Splatnet 2 its awesome. How come no one is talking about how awesome that is?

It WILL be a paid service, but it's not; this is n't the paid service, they've explicitly said this. This is simply a way to get voice chat into platoon 2; otherwise they wouldn't release it. For me it's more illogical to presume it won't change and improve than to think it will, and time will prove me right. It's awful; but excessiveness of the negative reaction about it is surprising even for N-Europe. As for if this ins't the worst case scenario, what is. No voice chat is worse.

What I meant in general though, is that we can't engage in things as much while multitasking, I mean, aside from habitual actions, we don't truly multitask, we quickly switch between activities; so doing so many things at once just means you're not quite as fully engaged in each action, which may be fine depending on what you're doing.

Yeah, Cave Story is a little steep, I really want it, but no rush, will wait for a sale! Playgrounds is really good, rough around the edges but a good game if you like arcade sports games.

Fair enough. To each their own. I like to fully engage with what I do, especially if I’m talking to friendst (and playing games)... considering we can’t truly multitask an’ all. Having that much different stimulus and activity is a little mind boggling to me... why do you feel the need/want to check news, text people and such in the middle of a game, while at the same time chatting to a friend? Do you do this face-to-face too, or just when playing games?

That’s just beyond ridiculous in my eyes. Some serious attention problems... and listening to music too... is that as well as game music and sound or that muted? Imagine listening to game sounds, game music, spotty music, voice chatting, needing two hands to play the game but still texting and checking news all at the same time 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Because of course it will. Why wouldn’t it? They released it because they wanted it for splatoon. They delayed the whole service until next year because it isn’t ready. This app isn’t close to being ready.

Shovel Knight, Cave Story... Kamiko is a great cheap game you can bash through quickly. Tetris Puyo puyo is on sale and if you like puzzle game then amazing. As for fighting game - arms Other than that I presume the Neo geo ones, either King of Fighters 98 or Samurai Showdown I presume... As far as retro classics! As for shoot em up... I have Blazing Skies, that's 2 player, pretty good, nothing amazing, but good for a quick blast.

Using wireless headphones on your phone... no wires, this isn't as horrific as people are making out. Even the multitasking thing, which is stupid, and I expect to be sorted by next year, but still, are you looking at other phone apps when playing games and chatting? It's not a big deal but people here get so stressed about things. I'm more annoyed at the lack of messaging on the app and bots/drop-in multiplayer in the game; but then voice chat isn't important to me at all. I pretty much never ever do it on the PS4.

It isn't great, but surely this will change for next year, just the first version - it working in the background is an easy fix. I presume this is why it's free until next year, they realised it wasn't going to be ready. Personally I wonder if it would've been better not to have it at all.... Splatnet 2 sounds great though and hope all games do this, including Arms and Mario kart!

It's as horrific as we all feared when we first heard. Complete with absolutely no messaging functionality, how do Nintendo expect us to actually organise these matches?

Really excited for this. Wish there was new competitive mode and still annoyed by no load outs or bots/dropin multiplayer. But I’m sure a new mode is coming.

It’s only splstfests which are 4. Normal ranked matches you can do 2, 3 or 4. Turfed you can just join friends.

I guess the idea of buying it twice doesn’t make much sense to me. Unless it’s far far superior! its the ps3 slim, I think, with the plastic thing at the top to put the disk in.

I really really didn’t like plague knight at all, has none of the fun of the other two campaigns, I gave up on it. ive been trying to destroy my Sony backlog, vita sold now, only 2 games to go on my ps3 and selling that, that with PS4 to try and get things under control. I think infamous is probably one of th best games I’ve played on the system, first light is good too. Not incredible, but had great fun with it. Ratchet and clank I bought, the kind of game I should’ve left over, but I just found it really boring to be honest. Gave up on that too. so last of us is my next game, I’ve tried twice and just couldn’t get into it, but it’s mean to be a masterpiece so I’m sure I’ll love it once I’m in, I like uncharted after all. Then portal 2. Then bye bye ps3. the problem is I just want top play on the switch...

Look at the way the scores came in I presume it’s because they fully separate the team and single player player scores . But really who cares? Who really cares? I’m surprised that many people can get teams of 4 together to be honest. im pretty sure we know how grouping and matchmaking work don’t we?

Yeah, for splstfests its 4 player only. Very annoying.
