Can you see the trailer above? Seriously though, I’ve just never liked Asassins Creed, no interest whatsoever. And that was the first game I sunk so much time into and quit (AC3), previously I tortured through games I’d played that far, just refused to stop playing, that was the first game I did and opened the floods gates to quitting games I didn’t enjoy however far I was into it - which has been an amazing thing actually. Saying that, I own but never played Black Flag and everyone says that’s the best, so maybe one day I’ll finally put that on and enjoy it.

Yeah a few of those are on my radar (celeste and hollow knight in particular but see how reviews are) Thmbelweed park, forgot hat was announced this week, definitely that too!

They only showed off new weapons, but said maps too. Hopefully new modes as well - I want death match dammit! They mainly just said there’d be new content for a year.

Switch so far for me looks like: Splatoon 2 Namco Museum Axiom Verge Mario and Rabbids The Escapists 2 Stardew Valley Cave Story Fifa Steamworld Dig 2 Rocket League WWE2K18 Mario Runner 3 Overcooked Fire Emblem Warriors Golf Story Other indies depending on reviews, and I may cave on Pokken but probably not.

So it seems the update has a new hedlock mode, players fight for the mask the. E shrine against them. Sounds amazing.

They didn’t struggle to have a supply of wii us... also maybe that’s why the amazing success of the switch caught then off guard. How many people expected it to do so well? Why criticise them for exceeding expectations? Such a bizarre thing to do. They’ve expressed quite clearly they’ve doubled production but these things aren’t instant. some products in many industries sell better than expected and are then hard to get hold of. I really don’t see what’s so difficult to grasp in this situation.

The best "bad shit has happened" moment in any Zelda (game actually) is still Hyrule underwater in Wind Waker. I guess it's not that I don't love strong stories or anything, I just really appreciated BOTW storytelling, liked its confidence in it. Just being plonked down, telling you barely anything, and you seeing the aftermath of something that happened a long time ago. The atmosphere and mood of it all.

I think BOTW story is far too subtle for most people, there's no huge active story that's happening, it's already happened, and it's told very subtly through the world, environment and thins the characters say over a big time, impacting the whole world of it, it's a completely different kind of story telling. Also think it lends itself nicely into the type of game it is, a story driven game would completely take away with the style and pace of it, always pushing your forward and into the story; the little pressure to continue the story; this game is about giving you a world to explore; the story has incredible amount of depth, with huge themes

So Nintendo have detailed splatnet 2 and it implies you can only chat in private battles... which is worrying in it’s gimpedness. Also say you can only create an online pound for Private battles, league battles and splatfest... what about ranked? Or is leagu ebattles another name for a squid squad?!

They should do a platinum pack and bundle Bayonetta 1 + 2, and W101 and announce B3 and W102 in development.

If you didn’t play the first then this game is borderline unmissable The Game is incredible; plus the single player to the first is amazing, and this looks as good, if it’s longer then again it’s well worth it.

Hmmm, I’ll say I love Splatoon, and no doubt this will be incredible. But it is a bit Splatoon 1.5 Maybe 1.75 Salmon Run is the only new mode, which looks amazing, but is very disapppinting, desperate for Death Match Modena (Splat Match)... Some modes, same structure, same feel, everything operates the same. I’m not complaining; but it doesn’t feel like a complete overhaul to me - I wanted a new competitive mode, I wanted some tweaks to how it works - drop in /out, bots, save load outs; be able to play any mode, bigger selection of maps each cycle etc. I think when we get it, the competitive multiplayer will feel almost identical to what we’v ealready played - new maps and wqeapons, but ultimately feel the same. Salmon run and a new single player will be incredible though. Very excited about The Game, a tad disappointed there isn’t a little more.

Is there a time which is reasonable to both time zones to get some games going?

I wrote that before you joined. But yeah, this is how I play, seems no one else does - I’m sure I’m ganged up on all the time 😆

Yeah it's great great fun. the 3 and 4 player battles, although a bit throw happy are just too mental not to enjoy. I want all multiplayer games to have equivalent party modes - big groups of people, rotating modes and such, played no better system.
