  1. It's a gift. Oh wait, actually I'd appreciate a few flowers watered lol
  2. I've a fair bit of kitchen stuff if you want @Aneres11, will put some aside for you
  3. I was referring to the weird complaint that "It's a really stupid mechanic" ... literally the mechanic that's been core to what's made people fall in love with Animal Crossing in every iteration before this game. There's supposed to be a degree of randomness, that's by design, it isn't "a really stupid mechanic", it's the entire point to meeting new villagers you'd never seen before and getting to like them. Sure they also give you other ways of picking and choosing who you want, but there has to be some roll of the dice involved too, that's what makes it interesting.
  4. No that's the whole point of the game. Random villagers turning up and getting to know them.
  5. Redd has finally decided to grace me with his slimy presence... There's 1 real painting and 2 fake statues up for grabs if anyone wants... Also I kind of thing that garden tap thing might look good in your pool area @Aneres11 but that's just a guess Also what's in the shop: Gates will be open in 5 mins or so. If anyone does come and would be so kind to water flowers, just the roses in front of Ables + the tulips to the left of those would be great. No worries about anything else. @Sméagol what's with the imperial thing you sent I thought it was a sushi table I was getting? as for the pinball, I only have two, the baseball one and the one I sent you?
  6. There really is nowhere to hide for gaming devs and publishers in the social media age. It's really sad in a lot of ways.
  7. Magazine rack being crafted by Wendy but not sure a meteor shower is on? Dunno if they have to happen with Celeste around
  8. Ah thanks. I did wonder. I’ve only ever gotten constellation stuff from her. She’s in SE beach by pier
  9. Celeste is around on Daybreak if anyone’s keen. I got a Lunar Lander off her. Dunno if anyone can get that too
  10. If there's a statue going spare I wouldn't say no I think I've seen Redd like twice so far. Kicks is in today
  11. I think Henry is getting sentient I would but I'm mostly looking for statues, thanks though.
  12. Personally I expect to be playing for a full year or so, but if Nintendo put out constant updates with new items, villager dialog, shops, features etc. for a long while, I'll probably stick with it even longer than that. The game's such an enormous hit I can't believe they won't want to constantly add over the next year or two (or even longer!). I played New Leaf for 20 minutes or so a day for about a year. I've doubled my total playtime in NL with New Horizons in just a couple of months, just because there's so much more to do in it! It's why I'm in no rush to finish my museum or make a fortune in bells. happy to take those things slow.
  13. Just been catching up on all the chat I missed. Thanks @Sméagol for the DIY bottle, it was an Ironwood DIY workbench, didn’t even realise that was a thing I left it at your feet by the climbing wall this morning! Was it not there when you got back?
  14. Thanks so much for all the flower watering guys ! shouldn’t have troubled yourselves. I switched Auto sleep off but I can’t back an hour or two later to find it asleep, hope no one was kicked out. On another note... The lengths I go to for Label’s amusement
  15. Nicely stocked shop if anyone wants anything. Gates open but I may be away in a bit Henry’s making a Tall Lantern
  16. Fantastic island @Eddage If you want to decorate your island with it I guess. Like statues and such or paintings at home
  17. I suspect Leif will get his own shop eventually. I think they have the balance right tbh, you like CJ and Flick but I think a lot of people want more Redd and Saharah. The only one I think I overstays his welcome is Kicks, i don't think he needs to be guaranteed once a week.
  18. Island still open @Eddage ? I might have to add you as a friend first
  19. Dropped Assassin's Creed Origins after 10 hours or so, I might push on sometime but the gameplay is just so repetitive, generic and dull. I think I'm just over Ubisoft openworld games at this point. I played Syndicate when it came out and that seemed way more fun than this. Can't say I'm a fan of the direction the series has gone since that game. Anyway I don't normally like to have two games on the go at once but 200+ hours later in Animal Crossing I'm happy to slow down a bit in there and also play a more action-y game... Control. Two missions later and I'm pretty blown away by this. I knew it was really well received, even winning GOTY in 2019 at the Game Awards but I hadn't really looked too much into it. I love going into a game without knowing much about it or having much expectation. Love the vibe, love the story-telling, the UI, the way the GIANT TEXT appears on the screen when you enter a new area. Combat seems fun so far, story is really interesting. I rarely read much of the collectible lore/codex but in this game I'm reading everything. Anyway having a great time. Excited to play more each evening, with the lights off for added mood lol. The rocket launcher baddies can f off though.
  20. Posted Thanks, running out of room to fit new stuff! Will post them tomorrow or give them in person if I see you No prob, might give it in person if you're around
