  1. Like the Virtual Console being a niche market, I just think people who are interested in making their own tracks are in the vast vast minority. We're talking maybe 2% of people may spend more than 10 minutes making their own tracks? IMO Nintendo would do better using the time to polish their main game than diluting the Mario Kart brand with 95% rubbish and adding confusing messaging onto a simple racing concept.
  2. Might screw up word of mouth if a casual or non Nintendo fan goes round to a mate's house and he puts on his poorly constructed barebones course. Might not give a great impression. Whereas if the only tracks people are playing are those Nintendo make, it would be guaranteed fun. I understand that it's an option to supplement the existing gameplay but it would just be too messy, and as far from something Nintendo would ever do as possible.
  3. Ha I love how a subtle hint at a reveal gets the hype going up to "could it be a track maker?!". It's the same with Nintendo Directs, hype goes through the roof to totally unrealistic levels, and then crushing disappointment shortly after. Anyway there's no way Nintendo would ever give us a track maker, it would be too difficult to use, backgrounds/themes would be non-descript and it would take attention away from the stunning tracks they themselves make for us to enjoy.
  4. Those wheels are sweeeeet. If they made Gamepads in the Mario and Luigi colours and sold them separately, I'd easily buy them, even at the 60-70 quid they'd probably go for.
  5. F**k you 2-S, finally 100%'d it after what feels like a thousand attempts.
  6. A permanent state of drunkenness would explain things.
  7. 100%'d world 1 before moving on, quite a challenge to get all the collectables. Quite enjoying it so far.
  8. I'm quite enjoying it, getting all the collectables is a challenge and what's frustrating is a lot of them are missable. Controls are fine and it looks a lot better on the 3DS than I expected. Sound is pretty terrible though yes.
  9. Last year would have been the better one to have a press conference IMO. How often do we get: 3D Mario, Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Donkey Kong, 2x Zelda, Pokemon + things like Bayonneta 2 and X all shown off in the same E3? This year's has a lot to live up to. Ok we'll get Zelda U but what else can possibly live up to all those big hitters?
  10. I've never played a Yoshi's Island game so I'm intrigued. Will pick this up tomorrow.
  11. Shouldn't the reviews be out by now?
  12. Someone tell those carpets to get lit properly in the sunset!
  13. Whenever they put a hundred really detailed specifics in, it's a very safe bet the whole thing is fake.
  14. I saw this.... and instantly thought of this... :yay:
  15. I can imagine the Virtual Console is bottom of their priorities right now, and rightly so IMO. Have Gamecube games really been rumoured though? I can't imagine them releasing any of those. N64 at best like the Wii.
  16. This was my first AC game, and I loved every second of it, putting in about 150 hours in total. I'm sure others' have much higher play-times but that's most definitely a record for me. Next on the list would be the last two console Zeldas at around 50 hours maybe. So yeah, fantastic, so thrilled I decided to read up on it just after release. Certainly changed my perception it was a game for 10 year olds!
  17. Yeah the Redd one stood out for me as well but there are some amazing ones there.
  18. Nearing the end of world 3 now, that first level was pretty stunning. Not very keen on the 'vehicle' levels, of which there seem to be more than the regular platforming ones (!). When I'm on the map screen and I see that the next level doesn't have a time trial badge available my heart sinks a little because I know it won't be pure platforming. Still, loving the game overall
  19. I don't understand how a Twilight Princess style Zelda game in HD is what the Wii U needs. It was just a tech demo to show off the console's hardware. If anything that sort of game is the last thing Zelda needs right now.
  20. I've up to the first few levels of world 2, loving this game!
  21. I can't imagine Nintendo ever doing that. It also seems far too much hassle than its worth.
  22. Pokemon X, my first Mon game. I enjoyed it a lot overall but the last couple of gyms I really rushed through as the battles were just getting too repetitive. Lots of max repel and avoiding any trainers as best I could.
  23. Is there a tutorial level or some instructions on the controls? DK virgin here.
  24. We've been spoiled by the instant loads of 3D World
  25. Completely agree with you @Josh64, Starfox Adventures was amazing. Loved every minute of it. (for the record I also loved Starfox Assault, so I imagine everyone will be disregarding any future opinions I share )
