  1. You've just contradicted yourself. This has nothing to do with censorship. If you have an issue with users being able to block other users then take it up with every single message board or social networking platform out there. It's standard practise and is completely understandable.
  2. In a year's time when Nintendo have gotten on top of manufacturing times and every amiibo is available to order, we'll look back at this manic period and laugh.
  3. Can I just ask... who cares? So some immature 9 year old kid blocked you on Miiverse, what does it matter? I think users should be able to block whoever they want anyway. Part 2 of their Direct discussion is coming this week. I think the Easter weekend meant they were pressed for time. The same reason message boards have an "Ignore" feature, because it makes perfect sense.
  4. How much value do you guys place on the figures themselves? Let's assume they offered no in-game content whatsoever and they were just little figurines, how much would you expect to pay for them in stores? I would say about ten quid, same price they are now. To me, you're buying something to put on your desk, the in-game content is a bonus. I don't see it as expensive DLC at all. And frankly let's face it, Nintendo's finances aren't exactly in the healthiest of states, if this helps them get back into the black, then I'm all for it, especially since mainstream gaming seems to have moved on.
  5. Trust this board to take great exposure on EDGE, a great headline and then tie it all back to f-ing voice chat. Maybe the rest of the industry isn't as obsessed with it as some on this board. Anyway the magazine is out today, will try and post anything of interest from it later.
  6. I'd love to see Nintendo announce some DLC or better yet, a sequel at E3.
  7. Surprised not to see a thread on this game? I played it at EGX last year, played really well. Seemed a sort of metroidvania puzzle adventure game. It's also a game that's made specifically with the Wii U gamepad in mind, so deserves credit for that. Some reviews out today (shamelessly stolen from GAF)... Gamereactor eu 8/10 Destructoid 9/10 Nintendoeverything “thumbs up” Bitparade 8/10 hobbyconsolas 9/10 Nintendolife 8/10 Nintendo World Report 8/10 Can't wait! Been looking forward to this since last E3.
  8. :shakehead:shakehead There's been three threads on it and a million posts.
  9. That was actually online multiplayer, just in a local set-up. Can't tell if you're joking though
  10. I would just wait for Nintendo UK store. So much safer getting them from there. Shop.to just want as many preorders as possible, regardless of if they can fulfil them or not.
  11. Yes they've put more up of all of those at various points in the last few months. This is a game that isn't even out for another month and a half. Of course they wouldn't stop selling these after half an hour of sales.
  12. Would the Wii have been such a huge success if there weren't lots of sold out signs and massive demand for months after release? I'm not saying the big N are purposefully holding back but I do think the amiibo craze is partially down to the shortage.
  13. Lol so you mean the above drama queen hysterics were all for nothing? Of course they were going to put more up.
  14. Wow. That makes the yarn yoshi amiibo look like crap! Want.
  15. I was tempted to pick this up but the less than overly positive reviews make me think I'll probably just pass. Was hoping it played similar to Mega Man.
  16. And yet people are happy to pay £40 for The Order: 1886, which is a linear, cutscene/quicktime event story that lasts 5 hours. Can't wait for Affordable Space Adventures, £15 seems perfectly reasonable to me.
  17. Well then your point still makes no sense. Nintendo focus on gameplay, the fact that said gameplay occasionally isn't good enough doesn't change that fact.
  18. Why do you hate Sony and Microsoft so much Wii? I mean apart from them removing all the colour and soul from the gaming industry.
  19. Facepalm. Each new game has introduced new mechanics that didn't exist in previous titles. Retrofitting old games to include them doesn't mean the games haven't changed, it means we have a basic Mario level builder that can swap art styles.
  20. Nintendo focus on gameplay, then add a storyline on top of that when relevant. Other publishers focus on storyline and cutscenes and then try and find gameplay in there somewhere. I know which method of game design I prefer.
  21. LOL @ Wii U is dead and Nintendo have abandoned Wii U comments.
  22. I really don't like the music in Hyrule Circuit, too rock-like. Reminds me of Hyrule Warriors which isn't really a good thing.
