  1. If it has Party Chat @kav82 will buy it. But if it doesn't he won't.
  2. Exactly what I was going to post
  3. I really wouldn't worry, the hype for its reveal at E3 is going to be HUGE. I'm not a fan of their competition announcing and drip feeding info about games for years before release. I'd much rather take the shorter reveal > release window that Nintendo have been doing recently. They timed the hype for Mario 3D World perfectly, announced six months before release with an ok trailer, than wow-ed everyone with their second one a couple of months before release.
  4. I don't think anyone's suggesting it will get moved to NX, just that it will be on both. That way Nintendo satisfy Wii U owners, whilst launching their new console with one of the most hyped games of the year.
  5. 200 puzzles done and I've looked at a guide once, for the final red structure in the Marsh (which incidentally was probably the most straightforward part of that area). It definitely diminished the sense of accomplishment though, which is pretty much everything in a game like this. Really felt like I hadn't earned firing up that laser. Vague hints like the above are fine though :-) I've searched for this 5x4 lift puzzle elsewhere in the bunker but can't find it. Any (vague) clue pls?
  6. Like most of the above, I wouldn't mind at all because Wii U's given me plenty of enjoyment already.
  7. The Bunker lift puzzle is really annoying me. I got to the busted cable part, and I know I need to figure out how the colours would change under (only) green light, but I can't figure out how I would know that.
  8. And if they put all their development into a dead console, you'd complain they have nothing to launch NX with. They can't win.
  9. They're busy making a brand new Zelda game on Wii U in its final year!!! It looks incredible. Fucking unbelievable, entitled attitude. They simply can't win.
  10. Twilight Princess HD isn't lazy. And definitely no lazier than the other re-releases on the market. They could have just up-res'd from SD to HD and called it a day but they didn't. There's lots of gameplay tweaks and an entire new dungeon.
  11. You could play all three Uncharted games in the time it takes to play Twilight Princess. The latter is a 40+ hour adventure. The Uncharted games are 10+ hours each. And regardless, longevity has nothing to with how lazy a re-release is or isn't. Uncharted Collection are straight ports. They went from 720p HD to 1080p HD and kept the rest of the game exactly the same. Twilight Princess HD went from SD to HD, they included a new dungeon and a dozen other gameplay tweaks. That is not laziness. It's typical gamer entitlement to demand and expect Nintendo to remake the entire game like the Wii U tech demo we saw a few years back. I don't see why. The Wii U is clearly winding down and development has rightly moved to NX. And anyway, they're working on a brand new Zelda for Wii U that looks incredible!!
  12. Like when they released Mario 3D World and A Link Between Worlds on the same day. Two of the top games of their generation!
  13. The point is, lazy ports are commonplace these days in gaming. It's nothing new. And this had to be made HD from standard def, which takes far more work than going from 720p to 1080p. Not to mention the new interface, dungeon, other changes to the gameplay.
  14. Laziness? Is the Uncharted Collection pure laziness? Considering that's literally a straight port. Or Halo Master Chief Collection or Borderlands or any of the other million remakes we're getting to plug holes in release calendars.
  15. To be clear, the technology is impressive like you say. I was only referring to the fact it's become a running joke in the gaming industry.
  16. It sounds a great idea and I'm sure Nintendo could manage to do it in a way that steered well clear of Kinect Sports. I think most people are trying to forget that Kinect ever existed
  17. That Animal Crossing video is brilliant! Very nicely done and some great ideas
  18. I'm on the fence. If Nintendo were to ever dive into the MMORPG world, a Mushroom Kingdom sports one would be a theme I'd be keen to see. Similar to Wii Sports Resort in terms of one location but multiple events. There could be multiplayer competition, quests, leveling up etc. I think it would be pretty great and they could update it yearly with new sports, characters etc. In fact I see them doing a lot more of what they've done with Splatoon, Smash and Mario Maker, releasing new bits of content every month or two but over the course of a few years, making their new games a platform that they can build on.
  19. Some Tomb Raider screenshots from my recent playthrough...
  20. Finally finished this tonight, have been taking my time with it. Absolutely loved every second, brilliant from start to finish. Traversing the world especially felt so natural and fun, controls were good and I liked the mixture of on-rails cinematic action and openworld-ish exploration. Visually it was pretty stunning at times, it's hard to believe it started out as a PS3 game, and the music was great too. The audio logs were a bit unfortunate, seems to be a common trend these days to save money not making a cutscene but that's a minor quibble. I wasn't thrilled about the collectibles either not really giving you much apart from xp. I would have platinum'd the game had it not required multiplayer trophies which I definitely can't be arsed with. So yeah, first ever Tomb Raider game and I loved it. Can't wait for the sequel to come to PS4.
  21. Pilotwings Resort was great, it was just lacking any sort of 'flavour' or style like the original two. The Mii integration made it very vanilla. Good fun though obv
  22. It's quite an under-rated game I think, a million times better than New Island on 3DS at least
  23. Yep. Probably as much as the competition release openworld games/shooters.
