  1. I feel like the Direct was a cobbled together show by the time of release, with delays etc and the "one more thing" being a recap on Pokemon DLC (and even then not much info) suggests something was up with the whole show. Probably saving a lot for June when they said the'd reveal the Smash ARMS character.
  2. The Happy Homes people are really letting anyone in if having cardboard boxes as furniture and a mix of styles is enough to get an S rank!
  3. Loads of fun, great work @Glen-i, I couldn't have thought up and implemented those games haha. Looking forward to the next one at @Mr-Paul's or someone else, if we have a new host every time it should keep things fresh. The interruptions are really annoying, mostly because of how LONG the animations are, the arrival one especially. Didn't notice any lag after that though All my villagers look weird, if they're not a caffeinated weirdo like Deli, they're a goat with his eyes closed like Billy. Ken looks cool!
  4. Great! I only have one spare fossil... Stego torso I think, plus lots of other stuff I don't need.
  5. You're definitely selling me on it a lot and I'm very pleased and totally appreciate that people seem to love it The quality isn't in question for me, it's just the whole world of the prequels and especially the characters puts me right off, but fair enough I don't lose much in giving it a try once I'm done with Rebels. I'm sure there's plenty of crossover, Rex and Ahsoka turning up haven't really hit as well as probably should have for me. Actually from a pov of 99% ignorance, I don't really see what people seem to like about Ahsoka, she seems a bit dull and generic from what little I've seen so far. Thanks for the tip about watching it in chronological order though, if i I do get round to watching it I'd have never known about that.
  6. The music in the episode where Zeb finds his homeworld was crazy good. That was one of my favourite episodes so far, so good. Likewise the B-Wing, Mandalorian and Star Destroyer interdictor ones were top notch this season too. I noticed the A-Wings with the at-an-angle engine exhausts were like McQuarrie's original artwork for them but I hadn't connected the dots re the lightsabers, you're right! I've not seen any of The Clone Wars, no. To be honest the prequels really soured me on that whole era, so I've never been interested in checking it out. Anything set around 4-9 though, absolutely.
  7. I'm watching Star Wars Rebels at the moment for the first time, about half way through season 2. It's actually fantastic! Way better than I was expecting. I'd only seen Resistance and enjoyed it but Rebels is so much better, the difference in quality is huge. At first the art style really put me off but I've learned to really appreciate it + the characters are great fun, love them all (except Chopper, I don't really know what they were thinking with him). But yeah, highly recommended. The last couple of episodes midway through season 2 were outstanding.
  8. I'm running a car boot sale of Nook's Cranny/balloon present stuff that I don't want at the party tonight if anyone has any similar sort of stuff to trade.
  9. A few less beehives would be nice too
  10. It'll hopefully be a weekly thing. Maybe those that don't get in this time get priority next time or something?
  11. All are obviously welcome. I'm in but if numbers go over 8 I'll happily step aside and just watch. Edit: oh wait, the max number is 8 anyway, never mind, I'm in!
  12. Chores and shopping in the morning, decorating/island visiting/Nook missions in the evening for me.
  13. It's really scary when they bite on the first go too, catches you off guard
  14. Finished Shadow of the Tomb Raider the other day with 100% completion. One of those rare games that I loved so much I wanted to get all the achievements. Didn't get 1000/1000 though because I'm not doing a second playthrough on the hardest difficulty . Anyway, I've loved all three of the Tomb Raiders reboots but this one was easily my favourite. I much preferred the emphasis on traversal and puzzle solving over combat and having more populated areas and a hub world to explore was the icing on the cake. Better storyline too IMO, and as with the other two, expertly crafted areas, seriously impressive. Those piranhas though Being indoors for the next month or two I wanted another big meaty game to get started on in between Animal Crossing sessions so I started Assassin's Creed Origins. Debated for ages between it and Odyssey and from what I gather people seem to prefer the first. More keen on Egypt than Greece anyway and those large scale battles of Odyssey with damage numbers in the 5 figures really put me off. Bayek seems a cool protagonist (still don't understand why Ubisoft keep doing the modern day stuff, ditched that within a minute). Anyway, really enjoying it so far, I'm doing pretty much every sidequest and location so I'm stronger with the combat that isn't really doing it for me as of yet. It's funny though, the opening 10 minutes couldn't have given a worse first impression of the game, to where I was almost regretting getting it. Boring, ugly, tight corridors, meaningless looting. Really weird, it looked like a game from 20 years ago, especially coming off of Tomb Raider. Then we got to Siwa and it improved 100x.
  15. Back when people knew how to make compelling space battles. Apart from Rogue One I can't remember the last amazing scifi space battle I've seen in ages.
  16. The Cast Master Mile is terrifying. Especially in the last few before you get the stamp. Just got to 50 and was worried the last one would be like 200, but it’s only 100.
  17. I always thought NDs were announced two days in advance, and game specific or Indie ones were sometimes 1 day before. Maybe that’s changed more recently.
  18. "BIGGEST" could be construed as transphobic. 19 week ban for you.
  19. Needs a ResetEra sign above him. Actually if it was ResetEra it wouldn't be a he it'd be a they
  20. Scheduling of the Mandalorian makes sense to me, it was great having one episode a week. It made for more of a conversation after each one rather than binging where the chat lasts about a week or so then everyone forgets it. I know the series is already out elsewhere but I imagine the vast majority of people won't know what happens in it. Anyway, those watching Mando for the first time, enjoy!
  21. Poor Blathers? Poor you having to sit through all that blathering!
  22. Can someone explain the significance of Nook Miles + ? They're one and done Miles, that are constantly refreshing and sometimes have multipliers added? Is that it?
