it's a toss up for me between Mario & Sonic Olympics and Game & Wario. What's the best one for playing with the family?
-
my order said the same but it was delivered yesterday.
-
my copy was delivered today, but nobody was home. Aaaarrrggghhhh! Courier is delivering this morning. Lucky I own my own business, will be having a poets day me thinks.
-
I've cancelled my pre-order with Nintendo and will go and buy from a shop tomorrow. It's a disgrace that they can't even deliver their own games for launch day.

i think the Pro Controller was aimed at the "hardcore" gamer but as sales of the hardcore games have been non existent I guess they are not bothering with it.

i didn't mention Sony, I asked a general question in response to Goron saying Wii U was aimed at Japan and PS4 was aimed at the West. So not fucking ergo at all. Are we resorting to personal insults now? -

That's what I was asking. I was responding to Goron who said PS4 was not aimed at Japanese gamers. What exactly is the point of your post? You misquote me, assume I'm talking about Sony (God Forbid) and end up making the same point as me. it's the Japanese sales figures, of course it's based on one region... JAPAN. -

"it's not aimed at Japanese gamers" "The games are not aimed at Japanese gamers" "...the Wii U, a console aimed at Japanese gamers" -

Surely consoles are aimed at everybody. Who would say we are launching a console, but we only want to sell it in one part of the world? -
think it was late morning... just checked my order on the Nintendo site and it states "estimated dispatch 30th May" Ferret's getting ANGRY!

Me. I ordered a Lan adaptor a couple of weeks back and it arrived the next day, so fingers crossed. It's a bit rubbish if Nintendo can't get their own game delivered on time. Plus it's half term so a couple of days early will give my boy something to do.

They must have games ready or almost ready to release. Bayonetta, X, Smash Watch Dogs all these games must be close? They really need to announce a deal with EA or a batch of in-house sports sims, but either way Wii U needs football and golf etc. I'm not so much fussed about the "drought" as I have loads of games not even out of the wrapper, so don't need games right now, but want to know that I can get my sports fix going forward.
-
yeah I figured it was probably a bit of a combination of all factors. It's difficult to judge as there have been so few games that have released across all 3 platforms simultaneously without a downgraded version. How well did Grand Slam Tennis and Tiger Woods 10 sell on Wii? These were two games where EA really supplied brilliant games making use of the motion technology, if these bombed then I can get 3rd parties not trying, but if these were successful then it shows 3rd parties can sell games if they don't just do a lazy port.

you obviously didn't see it. The parents have no choice as both Microsoft and Sony require a credit card to activate their subscription services, they keep these details and hidden within their T&C's is the fact that they can use these details to take payment for any other items. Then along comes FIFA with "just click here to get an extra item" and kerching. And absolutely shame on then. Only a complete fuckwit could even try and justify that a game which already costs £40-£60 could even have an option to allow you to spend £1,500 on DLC.
-
it's an interesting topic, does anybody know a ballpark figure of what it costs to convert a game from PS or XB to Wii U? I think Nintendo definitely need to throw money at the problem. If it costs EA £500,00 to convert FIFA 15 then Nintendo have to pay this to get the game on the system. I think some of the complaints here are harsh, Wii U did launch with good 3rd party support, proper versions of FIFA & COD and new to Nintendo IP's like AC & Batman. EA are a fucking horrible company and as much as I really want FIFA and TW on Wii U I can easily see how Nintendo could have fallen out with them. Did anybody see Watchdog the other night? Kids have been racking up £1,500 on their parents credit cards buying DLC for FIFA 14. How any game could allow you to do that is bordering on criminal in my eyes and Nintendo wouldn't allow that kind of shit to go down on their consoles. Back to the 3rd party problem, do we really know why 3rd party support is going away? Is it based on hardware sales, software sales or just the pain in arse/cost of converting
-
just watching watchdog, shame on EA and to a slightly lesser extent Sony and Microsoft how can a £40 even have an option to allow you to spend £1500 on DLC.
-
all the hype surrounding Mario Kart, got me thinking about 90's Arcade Racer. Has this been cancelled? Last I heard it was due for "mid 2014" release, but that was months ago and have not heard anything else since then.

when is XB1 being released in Japan? Microsoft must be seriously thinking of not bothering based on previous xbox numbers in the region and the fact that Nintendo and Sony are struggling in a region they would normally dominate. -
just been to my HMV,they only have Wii Fit U for £29.99 no controllers of any description pro or wiimote+ The pro controllers are as rare as rocking horse shit these days.
-
should I cancel my MK8 preorder of £59.99 and just buy this for the extra £130??????? If it came with a Pro Controller it would be a done deal.
-
with very little effort you will be able to pick up some great games for as little as £5.
-
stop all your whining, I've ordered from Nintendo so I have no idea when I'll get to play the game, at least you know you'll be playing next Friday.
-
i think the blooper should completely cover the screen for a couple of seconds, forcing the player to either hit the brakes or risk falling off the side and lose more time. In MKWii it was just pointless, only mildly annoying if you go hit with it and utterly useless as a weapon.
-
the annoying thing is I would much prefer the disc, but if I buy it i'm £27 down on having already paid for the first 3 sports as digital downloads.
-
Wii Sports was a great intro into motion control, but really they should have been releasing fully fledged individual games for Wii U like Grand Slam Tennis rather than just another demo of mini games.
