I quoted a PS4 because as I mentioned in my original post, if Nintendo fail to bring these franchises, or replacements, to Wii U then a PS4 is the console I will buy to play them on. So why would I compare costs with a XB1. And even if I did just choose PS4 randomly to do a comparison the costs are the same so it's still valid. But you never read a post properly, you only see the part that may be derogatory to PS4 and respond to that, but it's then out of context. And to confirm. I allowed for 1 year of subscription in my analysis, but I later said I had not allowed for these costs going forward i.e years 2,3,4 etc. So you were wrong there also.

it will be new on the Wii U and anybody with PS4/XB1 would have bought that version regardless so how does delaying it on Wii U damage sales? Bottom line is it will sell badly anyway, the majority of Wii U owners are either families who don't but adult games or gamer who own another console and will buy that version.

you did get me back in one race, shot a green shell backwards on the finish line when I was right behind you and I went from 4th to 10th. There are faults with the online, which hopefully will be fixed, but when you get a group of friends racing it is awesome.

it's better to sell to an audience of 7 million than 6 million. The game my well have been delayed to factor in gamepad functions, but I'm sure there was an element of UBI plating the numbers game. If you owned a PS4 and Wii U and they came out at the same time then I'm sure the very large majority would buy the PS4 version anyway, so I don't think the delay will cause any significant drop in sales, unfortunately it appears that most Wii U owners just don't buy adult themed games.

some brilliant races last night @dazzybee SORRY! I must have taken you out on the final bend about 4 times in the space of 6 or 7 race. It cracks me up after that in the lobby when "so unfair" pops up when we know you really want to say something a little bit stronger. I won a few races last night and realised how @lostmario does it. If you can get in front with a blocking weapon it's actually quite easy to hold on to your lead and then you start the next race at the front so you can rinse and repeat, BUT the moment you get dragged into the middle order it's carnage. Lastly, @Blade owned you last night son!

... sure it's £80 less than £460. How am I making it look expensive. The PS4 is £349 at retail so I've already quoted that as much cheaper plus I have not factored in the cost of a move at £24.99 and subscription charges going forward. I know I can play more than two games, but my point was these are the only two games I want to play that are not on Wii U (although having now checked TW is not out on PS4 either yet) It truly is pathetic how you constantly try and argue how great the PS4 is. I was actually having a dig at Nintendo because they have failed to get FIFA and TW onto Wii U and you take this as a slant against PS4 because I am saying I might have to buy one because of Nintendo's failings. Take your blinkers off. And can we once and for all stop this nonsense of "free games" with PS Plus. They are not free they are £40 per year. I would rather have the choice of what old games I buy on the cheap, not be told you have to pay this and we'll tell you what games you can have.

What happened to this? I come back after a couple of days and every comment is about PS4...

delaying this seems like a stroke of genius now. Wii U sales have gone through the roof due to MK being released, I bet this will launch right in the middle of MK and Smash when there is a bit of a lull but a much bigger audience to sell it to.

i pre-ordered from Nintendo and they sent me a download code because they messed up the deliveries so I don't need the disc copy any more. I live near Gatwick but I'm in Sutton/Wallington this weekend or I can post. Let me know if you want it.

is Game & Wario worth getting? I have two codes, already downloaded Olympics and was going to sell the disc version but may get Game & Wario and keep the disc copy. £60 for 3 games, trophy, t-shirt and keyring is still a brilliant deal.

PS4 = £300 PSN = £40 per year FIFA = £40 TW = £40 Extra Controllers = £40 each Even just buying 1 year of PSN and 1 extra controller adds up to £460. It's a massive outlay just to play 2 games.

I've notice there seem to be less of the real powerful items. Only just realised there are no Bowser Castles! I love the Ghost Houses but these Have been missing for a while, but Bowser Castles have always been a staple. There seem to be less courses with hairpin/right angle bends than previous versions. Anybody want to buy a cheap, brand new, still in the Nintendo sealed wrapping version of the game?

the coin item is useless, there are coins littered all over the track anyway, they should have just left it out or replaced it with the feather or something. Plus do we really need a mushroom, triple mushroom and gold mushroom?

my copy from Yodel arrived about 10:30 this morning. Before I open up the disc copy can anybody tell me how the free game works, is it printed on a card that I can sell or does it happen online? I've already got the free game code from the soft copy but ideally would like to keep the hard copy and sell the second code. Also I assume I can't use the second code on the same machine? i'm coming looking for you you this weekend mate, heavy breathing, the works.

i was sorely tempted to sell the download code, but when push came to shove just wanted to play the game straight away. However, will probably sell the game when it arrives, so MK8 and Sonic Olympics for absolutely nothing. It's their own fault for fucking up the deliveries

I can live without FIFA for the foreseeable future, quite happy to update rosters on 13, but I spent a lot of time playing Tiger Woods on the Wii, motion controls were brilliant, and I really miss it. Why they can't do a RPG style golf game like Mario Golf Advance is beyond me. Imagine when yo enter a tournament and instead of AI you're playing online against other humans. And the same with a tennis game.

I love the Wii U as much as the next man and I'm certainly one of the more positive posters on here, BUT, if there is no mention of any football and golf games at E3 then I won't be a happy bunny. It's going to cost me north of £500 to get a PS4 just to play FIFA and Tiger.

that's coldblooded... but unfortunately a bitter truth.
