this is what I'm talking about, FIFA 15 with a load of n-europe players online. I was going to wait until TW15 comes out before getting a PS4 but I'm really liking the sound of FIFA multiplayer online plus I never experienced ultimate team and the Alien game looks to have swung it. White or Black?

Gamecube Controller Adapter compatible with... Bugger all.
Clownferret replied to Serebii's topic in Nintendo Gaming
surely all Wii U games are compatible with the Pro Controller????? -
curse you Nintendo... am i the only one who has gone on a download frenzy to try and fill up all the newly created folders!!!!!!!!
-
But when you want to play Super Mario World do you open the Mario or SNES folder??? I was thinking of doing N64 & Gamecube folders and just leaving them there hoping Nintendo would give me something to fill them up with. You know what would be great, if we could use images for the the folders instead of just text on coloured boxes. Imagine having pics for NES & SNES like on the VC.

how come PS4 is on it's second FIFA and yet still no Tiger Woods? The Ryder Cup has really got me in the mood for some virtual golf. I guess I can tie in PS4 as a Christmas present for Ferret Jnr. My next dilema... my tv stand is black glass, black dvd, black sky box, black Wii U, but i really like the white PS4, but don't want to ruin the aesthetics.

I'm getting the same error message as @Wii is there anything I can do or do I just have to wait it out?

Couple of questions please chaps. I'm thinking of getting the fifa 15 bundle. 1: When is Tiger Woods coming out, have not seen anything on this game. 2: Can the PS4 play 3D Blu Rays

i don't like the idea of DLC, however in the case of Mario Kart they have released a game with the same amount of content as previous iterations, so you can't argue that it's a shorter game and there won't be a new version coming out every year like COD and FIFA so it DLC is in fact a pretty good package. But I agree that the likes of COD and FIFA that expect you to buy a new game every year and top up with DLC inbetween is a piss take.

have not read the review but this got 10/10 from Edge. So £40 for the double pack does seem a real bargain.
-
what's the deal with the double pack? Not really my kind of game, but if the deal is that good I'll probably get it for a rainy day.

waits for you know who to deride @Blade for making a comment that could be construed as anti Sony:shakehead

I really want a white pro controller

well that's the thing I wasn't. I got a gold subscription when i bought the console, but never renewed it as I didn't really use the console other than for FIFA nights with my mates a few times a year.

I've always had a Nintendo console accompanied in more recent times by 360 last gen and PS2 before that. I'm toying with the idea of a white PS4 mainly for FIFA and Tiger Woods and Minecraft for my boy. Does Tiger have a release date yet? I can just about justify the purchase for these games and will no doubt get some other games like Alien, F1 and any really good games that are not being released on Wii U, but the PS+ subscription is the deal breaker for me at the moment, i have a real problem paying Sony to use the internet when I already pay BT the equivalent of Greece's national debt for this privelage. Also is Football Manager on PS4?

i don't know what x86 is, I assumed it's reference to a processor or chip or something that the consoles both use, in which case what's wrong with that? Is X86 a derogatory comment used to describe Sony and Microsoft consoles?

General Gaming Sales/Charts Discussion

1 million sales in 2 days isn't anything special? I'm sure there are very few games that shift those kind of numbers, maybe i'm completely wrong, anybody have data? -
General Gaming Sales/Charts Discussion
Clownferret replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Gaming Discussion
different systems I know, but is Smash more popular than Mario Kart? I always assumed MK was a bigger selling franchise. Those Smash numbers are crazy, especially when compared to Destiny. I'm a bit gutted as literally none of the next batch of Wii U games interest me in the slightest. I'll probably get Smash as my boy loved it on the Wii, but Smash, Bayonetta, Hyrule, X, Toad, Yoshi are not my cup of tea. Give me golf and Football Nintendo or a white PS4 is on the horizon. -
it's out the day before my birthday so I'll probably pick it up at launch. I don't mind too much paying full price as I have only done so for about 5 of the 20+ Wii U games I own.
-
I haven't played any of the above mentioned games so I guess that's a sign that this game is not for me (sad face)
-
This game wasn't really on my radar but the idea of the free game is tempting me. So my question is what game is this comparable to and is it worth me buying if it's not really my bag.

But it was being insular that made the Wii one of the biggest selling consoles of all time. I bet you're the kind of guy that wants his teams manager sacked the minute they lose a few games. And let's nor forget companies make most of their money from game sales not console sales, so whilst nintendo usually sell less hardware than Sony or Microsoft they own the software side with nintendo games regularly topping the all time sales charts for each generation of

You definitely won't lose your games in the event of a repair, worst case is you'll lose your save files. You can get by without a hard drive for a considerable time. You can delete games you have played to free up space and redownload them again at a later date. I have two pro controllers and only use them for multilayer. See how you get along with the gamepad.

i think that's Nintendo's problem not ours. When you buy a Nintendo console you do so in the expectation that you will get Mario, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, Zelda, Metroid, Pikmin, you would hope to get 1080, Wave Race, F-Zero and you would assume 3rd parties would deliver sports, fps etc. When Nintendo sell a console with this expectation they can't then just chuck out a load of family games and fall out with the 3rd parties, otherwise next gen they are going to sell even less consoles.

I was looking at the upcoming releases for Wii U and it dawned on me that my biggest grievance is the duplicity. I'm not that bothered that as a Wii U owner there won't be a 3rd iteration of Assassins Creed or Call of Duty within the first 2 years of the console. I'm not even that bothered that we probably won't get another FIFA. I grew up in a era where predominantly you got 1 game per console and because of this they were great games. Big Wii U games are few and far between and it's bloody frustrating that we keep getting the same genre. Bayonetta and Hyrule both launch within a month of each other and they're both hack and slash games, we got Mario 3D followed shortly by Donkey Kong. We've got Lego City and Lego Movie, Mario Kart and Sonic Racing, Tekken and Injustice. If they had focused on making sure we had a good mix of games instead of duplicating genres we would be pretty well catered for, but as it stands I'm crying out for an F1 and a Golf game and all of I've got to look forward to are two slash em up's which don't interest in the slightest.

Yeah, EA really supported Wii. Grand Slam Tennis and Tiger Woods 10 onwards were brilliant and made the best use of the Wiimote by far.
