  1. Absolutely and fully agree with all the praise in this topic. My personal and only frustration comes from the controls when I play undocked. After more than 20 hours with the game, I still incidentally press the wrong buttons or find myself looking at the controller to find the right buttons to press. This happens a lot with crouching when I want to run and with selecting different items/weapons, etc. When using the pro pad it happens far less while I've only used that for the first two hours. It's just a minor issue though, because the game lures me back in with so much power that I want to master the controls and don't blame the game but instead push myself further to adapt to it. I haven't felt that way since Mario 64.
  2. Not out of the box unfortunately. You'll have to buy a LAN adapter if you want to, they released an official one. EDIT: you know that smartass in school who would always grab the teacher's attention before you could tell the answer to a question? @Hero\-of\-Time
  3. That sounds truly awful, I hope it all gets sorted today so you can enjoy at least the last part you day off. All my stuff has arrived and the first few hours with the machine and Zelda have been great. It feels so much better than the Wii U already! Still think it feels a bit overpriced, especially considering all the extra hardware I had to buy for the premium experience and because there's no software packed in with the console. No problem for me because I have the money to invest but this could be a problem for people still on the fence. It's not at an impulse buy pricepoint like the Wii for example. But so far it has been an absolute joy to experience this new piece of kit. My SW code: SW-5370-4450-2735
  4. Congrats guys! I'll be off the forums 'till mine arrives! I've been avoiding all unboxing and BotW video's so I'm not gonna be spoiled in these last few hours!
  5. Ah, the 3D console Zelda list again. Every time I make a list of 'em, the order changes. Today I would say: OoT WW MM SS TP And now I feel bad for SS and TP
  6. What reviews are recently most in-depth? Back in the day Edge was great, as was Famitsu when online became bigger than magazines. I noticed I've been ignoring reviews for a long time now, don't feel like they add anything for me anymore
  7. Sooooo, now how much longer can you resist buying a Switch?
  8. You're lucky if you get a Switch on friday. Going cold turkey and stopping with that habit would've dragged you through hell!
  9. What was the last main Pokémon game you played? If you recently played X/Y or ORAS, I think you might be dissapointed by the amount of new Pocket Monsters. I hadn't played a main game since Diamond/Pearl so that didn't matter to me. I was very positively surprised how the core was kept recognizable, but the stule, presentation have evolved and how they managed to give the story a lot more immersion. After Sun/Moon I immediately bought all 4 previous entries: ORAS & X/Y. That says it all really I can actually understand that, especially since you're a life time fan. After playing ORAS, I found out how few new Pokemon were introduced in Sun & Moon. Didn't you enjoy the extra effort that went into the story and especially into the NPC's? The Captains, the Kahunas, change from battles to more variaty through the trials. I felt more connected with the story and people on the islands than in previous games.
  10. Pocket Rumble, Flipping Death and Steamworld Dig 2 day one for me. Good showing! Wow, why difn't they show that in the Direct??? Great news
  11. Wow, that's a really good example of how not to treat your customers. That would really make me furious
  12. VR intrigues me, years ago one of my friends was a early adaptor of the Occulus and got a dev kit. It was a great experience and had a huge wow factor, as was the first time I used motion control or even analogue 3D movement. They are all game changing in- and output methods. But the thing for me is, after the initial wow moment, I need good content to keep me interested in a platform. For me both PSVR and Switch have to prove they can deliver on that front because untill now I'm not convinced at all. Still put my money on the table for Switch at launch, but that's because every Generation, Nintendo at least produced several life time experiences for me. Blind faith and blind nostalgia I guess
  13. Reminds me of Epic Mickey, wich is a good thing because that was a really underappreciated game!
  14. It's free with the Nintendo Online subscription!
  15. I totaly understand the sentiment of the not buyers, I'm not happy with the launch line up at all. And the focus on reimagining/porting/updating some of their most succesful Wii U games to Switch still leaves me with a sour taste. Still I'm hyped for it, mainly due to the hardware concept and Snipperclips. It's not a lot if you look at it objectively but it swayed me over nonetheless.
  16. Word was some retailers shortly listed a game called "Pikmin World" for Switch with a vague TBD - 2017.
  17. It's also me trying to restrain my hype I'll just keep imagining it's something we already know of (as in us well informed, news gathering forum dwellers). Of course I hope it's Rocket League but recent years the surprise announcements during Directs etc, are getting scarcer and scarcer. Nintendo needs to let their current Ninjas retire and hire new ones
  18. My guess is Enter the Gungeon
  19. I'm still not sure if this is a game to my taste. But still want to know if there's a confirmed RRP for Treasure Trove yet? Might be interested to give it a try if the price is good
  20. I can 99% surely hook you up on launch day with a grey switch. I live in Zoetermeer so not too far from Rotterdam. Ordered with bol.com and gamemania and both are "confirmed" for the 3rd.
  21. I have the day off on the 3rd and preordered: - Switch Grey (x2 too be sure, 1 for delivery and one to pick up) - Snipperclips Joy-Con Bundle - Charging Grip - Pro Controller - Big Ben Premium Travel Case - Pouch for on the go - BotW - Zelda amiibo No SDHC and no charger (yet?), will see if I'll manage without these.
  22. Yes it is, although it's currently unclear if the UK will get the bundle on launch or a week later. But digital e-shop release is the 3rd so you're fine
  23. Now we're laughing, but wait 'till Nintendo decide to prioritize this over de Joy-Con issue and come up with a Wi-Mote silicon sleeve like solution I guess these people are a large part of the reason why Nintendo normaly build hardware that some people would call toy like. Now we finaly have a sleek, stylish design and this happens
