  1. That Peach-Toad-Mario picture is just all kinds of wrong So Toad is still not playable, I guess... I wonder what we will discover under her dress this time. I bet we'll get some Donkey Kong character announcement when Tropical Freeze is nearby. and of course Pokémon reveals when X & Y arrive.
  2. At what level is Pikachu in the Anime now a days?
  3. Someone please start a Kickstarter for this man and his family!
  4. Is it even more embarassing than asking if it's possible to download a Police Hat to my Animal Crossing game?
  5. So why is this not released on WiiU? I mean, it uses the same engine as Child of Light and Rayman Origins/Legends... I can't figure out why...
  6. Oh Lord. I'm calling this: NINTENDO to release 3D glasses alongside the NINTENDO 2DS in order to play Pokémon X & Y in 3D. Pokémon X and Y have that ol' school 3D
  7. Could be his side-air-B.. You can get rid of the trophy stand when you take a closer look at the trophies, so it is possible.
  8. Yeah, I forgot to add that to my post. The Skyward Sword theme is absolutely genius, but there were only a handful of other tracks in Skyward Sword that remained in my head and were given the honour of me whistling them I thought I read somewhere that the OST was created by someone somewhat new to the industry. Still, I thought the tracks were very fitting on the atmospheric level, it just lacked memorable tunes like Gerudo Valley, Overworld music from Spirit Tracks or every song in the WindWaker.
  9. @Ronnie Thank you. Thank you for that That's one thing I have noticed over the years of being a NINTENDO gamer and especially as of late: NINTENDO does godly things when it comes to their OSTs. Even in games such as Paper Mario: Sticker Star () their music can almost save the game's suckiness. I especially love this one: and this one But let's not turn this into 'best videogame music ever' thread.
  10. Doesn't this then mean that their next set of hardware will be something other than DS/Wii related
  11. These have been my rules for a good few years now and it helps me complete games and become a better gamer overall *Stick to NINTENDO systems and have friends that own other systems so you can get a whiff of other treasures now and then. *Always have a project (i.e. a game) going on your console and on your handheld. *Only start a new game once you've finished another one. So, for example, I would get into a situation where I would be playing Killer 7 on my Wii, Okamiden in Japanese on my DS, and an eShop game like Mutant Mudds on my 3DS. Once I finish one of these I just go to my massive list of titles, I see what I'm in the mood for, buy it, and thus begins a new project. Now it's a bit problematic as of late, because the 3DS has got me sooo hooked on Animal Crossing each day and Fire Emblem: Awakening. Moreover, 3DS games are more or less GameCube quality/size now so it could be counted as a console. Anyway, finishing a game before starting another feels right to me and other games won't intrude upon it as much (balancing multiple stories/characters/blablabla).
  12. Damn! Ever since I discovered Shantae all I can think of is a crossover game with Shanoa!
  13. O, good ol' gaf, good ol' Gaf
  14. Oh Sh!t! Skyloft in HD!
  15. DAT VENUSAUR! I bet Pidgey or the like are living in that tropical forest on his back now.
  16. Yeah, it almost looks a new move or maybe a replacement of his down B. It seems as though he has just slammed the stage really hard with his hand, or maybe he threw Luigi downwards pretty violently which causes a major tremble.
  17. Ah man, I could really relate to Masuda-San and Ishihara-san when they were talking so passionately and nostalgically about Pokémon. It really is a beautiful thing and now I want to check all the pokémon I've caught and trained over the years My beautiful Emporium My powerful Typhlosion just off the top of my head. Loving this cloud idea and the Japanese actress wanting to show her grandchildren the Charizard she won tournaments with Edit: I just noticed during the footage that they used slightly upgraded versions of the simple 'cries' the pokémon have been making over the years. Would've been nice if they upgraded those though, for it doesn't really fit all this 3D glory.
  18. GOOD NEWS I will soon buy a WiiU and continue to stick with NINTENDO and its shenanigens I might be a poor ol' student, but with my birthday coming up and having saved up some money, I am ready to inject myself with an overdose of stuff happening on the screen, for I've always told myself: 'I'll get a WiiU when Pikmin 3 and The Wonderful 101 are out.' The way I see it, there are already a good handful of classics I will be putting on my backlog list: *Lego City Stories *Rayman Legends *ZombiU *eShop goodness Spreadeth thou-est arms N-Europe, Ye ol' Fused will be joining you again-est-eth
  19. Hmmmm, talking about the Wii would be talking about motion controls, really. Yet I like how this tiny, little white console with its initial focus on the Wii-remote has produced such a major shift in the industry. Honestly, terms and concepts that entered the industry because of it were probably: *Casual gamers *Motion Controls *Kinect and the PSMove *'Bridge Titles' and most importantly *What makes a 'hardcore' and what makes a 'casual' gamer All in all, that wii (as a subsitute for 'wee' in order to make this post funny:laughing:) little remote-sized controller changed the gaming industry. However I do still wonder whether or not the industry has really 'gained new customers' because of the Wii. In other words, have there really been people who went from Wii Sports to Mario Kart Wii to Mario Galaxy to Zelda, Donkey Kong, indie games, WiiWare, Smash Bros. Muramasa, New Play Control Pikmin, Endless Ocean, etc.... I have my doubts, and I would argue that many a 'casual gamer' is more interested in a PS3/4 or an XBOX because it's a slick piece of a multimedia device whereas the Wii and the WiiU fail to present such a vibe to the general public.
  20. I thought Shibata said Korg M01D would be out in the fall? I'm thinking October.
  21. Saw this on Gaf. Wasn't sure where to post this, so I thought I'd return to this safe haven. From Chapter 6 in Super Paper Mario
  22. I think that, by definition, the Wii could not have been a fluke because it housed the following game exclusively. The mere presence of its existence makes the Wii an instant timeless classic, for it is able to run this game and make you experience something truly amazing.
  23. Thanks @Dcubed. I never quite knew how big Intelligent Systems was, but this fills me with renewed hope!
  24. Stuff like this reminds me that it must be quite the task to balance newer franchises with older/well established ones. Me and my Advance Wars group have been talking about a new Advance Wars for quite some time now, but everytime Intelligent Systems focuses on a different franchise. So I say this: If we are going to have to wait even longer, I'd like to see Advance Wars on the WiiU with awesome graphics, beautifully animated cutscenes and characters and a brilliant online experience. Basically the Fire Emblem: Awakening treatment, but on the WiiU and with Advance Wars.
  25. Good god this game is brutal. I've only done a few missions yet, but already I find myself being a pretty poor tactician and getting someone killed. I love it that Fire Emblem is one of the few franchises where I genuinly get mad at myself for not having taken a better look at the stats or the map. I'm having a go at the first Side Story mission and it's quite the challenge to get that little farmer kid to level up once so that he can become a Shepherd I will raise this boy to be a warrior!
