  1. You call it luck I call it acrobatic skill and 'knowing' the Smash Ball so that you know when to hit it at the right time. Also, as much fun as no-items matches are to watch, I find matches with certain items on (obviously not cheap one-hit-kill items) way more spectacular to watch. These matches show the true skill of a smash player, for he/she has to both dodge/use items as well as focus on the opponent. It brings in a whole new level of skill if you'd ask me, especially the mindgames that can be played when it comes to throwing items.
  2. Madness. The choice is there to switch it off! The Final Smashes made every character have its awesome signature special move! A chance for the developers to go a little crazier with the character (like with G&W) which isn't possible to incorporate in the character's moveset. It's basically an extra move, and some are dodgeable.
  3. I'll take my chances with the GamePad, thank you very much. A new entry requires a new way of playing But, of course, leave it to NINTENDO to make a big deal out of this re-envisioned Wii-Wheel at this year's E3.
  4. Time for a 1DS then!
  5. All I think is necessary is that they lay low when it comes to platformers for a while. Both on the 3DS and WiiU. 1 or 2 a year is fine. Now we've had Kirby 3DS, Yoshi 3DS is coming and Yoshi's Yarn is underway. The only and I MEAN ONLY other sidescrollers I would like to see added to this list are a 2D Metroid game and a Takamura's Castle game by Vanillaware. I still very much hope NINTENDO will partner up with Vanillaware for one of its platformers some day. Ah, forgot Wario. Well, I guess we'll still be getting another platformer then....BUT AFTER THAT! So yeah, instead of having teams work on platformers, have them work on something else.
  6. It's our first Metroid Game Coming off of the praise for Resident Evil 4, I thought I'd pick a controversial outing in the Metroid series instead of the all-time classic Super Metroid to counter all this positivity:laughing:. We'll get to that one over time. I liked this game, but I might be one of the few who actually understood the angle they were going for with Samus and her inner monologue and stuff.
  7. Some lovely opinions on this one and even a little bit of a discussion. Onwards!
  8. The NintendoEverything Crew organises a 'gaming bookclub' of sorts from time to time with their members in which they vote on a game and then go through 'chapters' of the game bit by bit, discussing their progress along the way in podcasts. I thought this to be a really neat idea and perhaps N-Europe could give this a try sometime and combine it with the podcast.
  9. The 4 hour moment that was Journey I feel like this game could justify a one-game museum. It would be a small building in which one person at a time would be allowed to play Journey, changing his view on gaming forever.....or not because you're a filthy casual who doesn't know how the buttons work or how to jump on a fucking ledge. But yeah, brilliant moment.
  10. Whatever we do, Serebii needs his own special segment with him going through anti-NINTENDO comments and countering them. And we could also involve the N-Europe Mario Kart League when that comes into play! ---- I get what you're saying Fiercy_Link, but we could still make ita 70-30 split or something... Or we could just have people talk about what they've been playing like Goron said, and if those games happen to be on non-NINTENDO systems then so be it. There is no harm in discussing non-NINTENDO related things in the industry, but I do believe that NINTENDO should be the core of the show if we would slap the N-Europe 'brand' on it. It would be like an opposite BonusRound cuz all they ever do is mention NINTENDO briefly and mockingly
  11. Realistically, what are the chances of Rayman? He's my most hoped for 3rd Party character next to Professor Layton.
  12. Metroid, Mario and Zelda. NINTENDO's 3 gaming franchises that have defined genres and certain games in the franchise are insanely highly critically acclaimed. They know, they know. Trust me, it's coming. If anything, The GamePad will be used as Samus's visor. I'm counting on Miyamoto to push for this idea. I've always looked at it this way: It's either what you say it is, or it is NINTENDO trying to get more awareness regarding these franchises in order to reintroduce them. I mean, It's still pretty interesting NINTENDO chose Takamura's Castle and F-Zero over the likes of Kirby and Star Fox when it comes to getting a minigame in Nintendoland.
  13. Metroid is coming, no doubt about it. It's one of NINTENDO's big 3.
  14. Once I start I game, I pretty much always finish it. This is why Paper Mario: Sticker Star in particular was a very nasty endeavour of which I dare not speak.
  15. Is it really that much work? All you'd have to do is just act like we're in a pub and talk about games for an hour and presto. I'm interested to talk about stuff as well, although I'm usually not up-to-date with all the games if that matters. I tend to game at my own pace.
  16. Let's get back to perfect balance between Survival Horror and Action in my opinion. Don't feel shy to discuss, in depth, certain characters
  17. Hmmm, not a lot of fans, I see. I'll see if I can find something a bit more mainstream tonight.
  18. The bad online on some games on the WiiU makes playing an online game on my girl's PS3 now and then that much more special. What I kind of like though, is that NINTENDO pretty much forces you to have direct human contact while playing a game and consequently force you to go out into the world and find fellow gamers. I think it's, like other NINTENDO strategies, a really Japan-oriented way of thinking, for in Japan gaming is a bit more widespread and one could easily have a good time playing Super Mario 3D World (still cannot believe the title) with the random guy on the street as you could with your family. I think their approach to the West will only change if they can't find their audience anymore. I wonder who will become the great radar of the West.
  19. No buy for me if there are no Japanese voices. Same with Bayonetta.
  20. Nasty, I'll be going to Japan for a month on July 8th.
  21. I sort of got the feeling 'o, that'll do Star Fox' when I saw Peppy Hare in the trailer and when they showed those rings the Submarine had to go through.
  22. You know, she actually looks somewhat like Cammie Dunaway.
  23. THat's why the good lord (read LostMario) created theme nights
  24. Am I making too much sense yet?
