Ive not watched since the end of season 7/ start of season 8 (maybe) around where Atlantis started coming into existence anyway. Then I saw it again a few months ago, Teal'c has hair, Crichton from Farscapes in it doing the comedic O'Neill role and I just couldnt hack it. I heard that Erin from Farscapes in it too now? With all this talk of Farscape I gotta say that its one of my favourites too. I was gutted when it got cancelled... then they got back and finished it with a two part feature length effort. Id like to catch up with Stargate though cos its ace. Maybe knightendo or some of you could lend me your DVDs of the latter series sometime...

Harry Potter? Ive been reading through em over the years to keep up with the hype of the mainstream peeps (cheaper than getting a PS2 :P) and in my opinion the series peaked at book three and has been going downhill ever since. What you guys think? (most people have bound to have atleast tried Harry Potter to see what all the chatters about so dont bother denying it!)

Yeah the lack of the anime cutscenes peeved me a bit too... and then the ending one wasnt all that long anyway! But the game was a great experience so that made up for it - and the normal cutscenes with ingame graphics had plenty of charm to them anyway!

Im pretty sure Id buy this. Ok it doesnt look much different but maybe itll look better closer to the time? Maybe Ive too much faith. Ive got plenty of play from the Cube one and I plan to get more from it, its great in two player and Im sure itll be great in four. And then on the Wii theres huge potential - and not just with the controls, I mean they can beef up everything from the Cube one - some more teams (captains and sidekicks alike), some more stadiums that actually make a difference to the game? And the Wi-fi. I think if we give this a fair go it could be a classic in the makin!

Always reading The Dark Tower or something related to it. This summer Ive read a few things and Ive been trying to get through a book I started a few years ago by Tom Clancey, Red Storm Rising but I just cant seem to read it for any length of time or any stretch of days and weeks to get it finished! Its good though and Id recommend it - its my first Clancey book like so maybe hes got better. Ive got books Im gonna get into soon like Dracula, L'Etranger, something I have by Voltaire but cant think of right now...

It looks pretty great doesnt it! I didnt think AWL was that great (I had high expectations!) and its looking like I wont have the time for Magical Melody but Im definitely up for this. I got hooked on the GameBoy Color game... and its probably the worst Harvest Moon there is...? The control should be good though and if theres enough events and festivals then this could and should be a must buy.

Ive had mine from day one too and Ive had play sessions that must have atleast been getting close to the twelve hour mark when I was in the thick of games like Tales of Symphonia. Ive not had a techincal hitch yet - except, in a way, with Eternal Darkness.

What have you been playing dude? And how long would one of your play sessions be? Ive not experienced anything like this... but maybe others have?

JammyJu, haha funny story - listen to this one: in the N64 one when I used to play with my sister, her favourite character was Yoshi and she would stand at the side and eat people then lay them off the side and into oblivion!

Im interested to see what kinda vibe this gets review-wise. It has potential, but can they really give us something really good so early in Wii's lifespan?

I would like one too, but would I ever use it? And what colours do they come in? Am I right in thinking just black?...cos my Cubes an ickle lil purple 'un. Id like to put that first Zelda game on it cos Ive played it a few times since getting it t'other year and Ive got nowhere.

Nice post Ramar. I dont know what the Cube has done for me, tis a difficult question. I got it on release with Luigi's Mansion and I thought the graphics and game were wonderful - I rationed my playing time on it and I still had it finished over the weekend, that was the major dissapointment. Then I got the lend of Starwars and loved it but never bought it... Im trying to think of a good answer here. Id been following the games industry through mags til late on in the N64s life and I suppose that throughout the Cubes life and with using internet for info Ive become more learned than I probably should be lol and Im lots more aware of how the industry works and how Nintendo have been fighting a pretty much losing battle to Sony and Microsoft. ...what has the Wii given us? Well, hope. And in fairness that hope (for me) mainly comes from looking at how well the DS is doing and that in theory the Wii should follow suit.

I dont own any of them, Ive only played it on the SNES and N64 and I still regard these games very highly, they better keep getting made and be available for a long time to come. 20 years is amazing! I feel like I been around forever - in gaming terms!

Donkey Kong is my favourite! (though DK64 was too much like them Banjo games for my liking) Anyway whats this... I hardly ever get any PMs yet it says my PM box is 90% full...?? I thought the DK Rap was pretty cool and it blew me away to have a big song on an N64 game - Id played Goemon though so I shouldnt have been so suprised I guess. Long live DK, Id like to try out Bongo Blast and I hope to get this racing game when it gets released, man I was so hyped about the DK Racing game that was shown either just before or after the Cubes launch.

Playing F-Zero on the SNES. And for pure adrenaline the last flying level on Super Mario Land on the GameBoy sometimes drove my heart into overdrive (like mike and the Pokemon League) ...I loved completing that game. Also Mario Land 2 when beating Wario I was a nervous wreck!

Out of the games I own Id say the worst is Forsaken. It got a very good if not great review in ONM at the time and I was quite hyped about it - they said it was really lightning fast! I got it on release and never got into it, memory card saves never worked, the game was slow and I only completed it once using a whole pile of cheats and the ending wasnt that exciting! Anyone else get this and have any good views about it?

Here I am, a summer job has eluded me this year but its been good actually without one... although moneys getting more and more tight but its getting towards that back to Uni time when cash should be at hand (but still need to be looked after if its to last) and Ive already my thoughts turned towards getting employment over the Christmas period - hey itll ruin Christmas but itll put cash in the bank, and unfortunately cash might be more important than enjoying Chrimbo this year. Ah well. So you'd think Ive plenty of time on me hands? Well in a sense I do, I keep myself well enough occupied (got some preseason and play badminton with me da aswell as having a girlfriend to devote my time to) but Ive actually got something that needs doing. Ive three pieces of work due in at University in September. I gave myself June and July off and said that Id get caught up on some books (kind of successful) some games (I had some success there too) and find a job (no luck there at all) then get to the Uni work in August. Its now August and Im having bother... with hefty word counts to deal with now is the time to act, Im going into final year so I cant be handing in the sub par, last minute efforts that have got me through til now. Just find a way to get the ball rolling with it and then itll all flow, right? Hmmm, easier said than done. My olds have also booked a holiday for us at the end of August - if its anything but a disaster Ill be suprised! What have I been doing to kill the mornings and afternoons off then? Well surfing here, thinking about stuff Id like to do - this mostly involves me wanting to dig out the N64 and replay Majoras Mask... and thinking about whats gonna be for lunch and dinner lol. Ive plenty of other things I could do and want to... putting off the work is paramount. I need motivation. So guys and gals, what I would like from you in reply is two things. Two things that are kind of opposites. Tell me, what do you find yourself doing when youve something else far more important that needs doing? And secondly, give me some words of motivation, and what gets you finally round to getting school/ uni work done. (hopefully Ill get something other than that the deadline is the next day :shock: and you cant put it off any longer!)

Im glad that someone has mentioned the DKC Trilogy... though it has taken us until the second page to do it! DKC 3 is the game of games, Ive not played the SNES one in atleast a year now but I still remember it all - the MERRY cheat just hasnt been bettered.
