From the Wind Waker team Cel-shaded-style graphics. Top screen: mostly maps. Action is on the lower screen. Use touch screen to draw things -- transitioning the bottom screen input to the top.

Yeah agreed! From Level 5 (?) I think, the creators behind the excellent Dark Chronicle series. Read a review of it in GamesTm and it looks awesome. The environments seem on par with Dragon Quest in terms of awe and beauty. Have my doubts about Final Fantasy XII, haven't loads of key memebers left S-Enix? I remember something about a key producer being bought by Microsoft and the Uematsu fellow who does the music has gone independant.

Sent them this e-mail "Dear Sir/Madam Would it be possible then to enquire through you instead of directly to Mansour House? The main reason for me e-mailing them would be to enquire whether I could arrange two weeks worth of unpaid work experience at Mansour House because the grammar school I am currently attending requires that each student that wishes to get back into the Sixth Form must have some kind of work experience. I would like to work at Mansour House primarily because it offers me an insight into a world of work which is unknown and unseen to many my age and as I am relatively inexperienced in the world of business I have a natural thirst and desire for knowledge. I would be delighted to learn the true nature of the workplace and in doing so I am sure it would also provide an invaluable experience for the future. Yours sincerely," What I got back Dear Customer, thank you for your e-mail. I am sorry but they have not undertaken work placements for students in the past and I do not think they will in the future. The number of staff there is very small, only 15, and many of them, because of their work practices, do not remain in the office. Much of their work load is out on the road visiting and negotiating with clients. However I do wish you every success in your search for a placement and in your Sixth Form studies. Kind regards, Your Nintendo Team Sad but I'm glad they took the time to mail back and have sound reasons, not just a flat "no".

Silver award cycling proficiency certificate. Yay. Also, I passed the eleven or twelve plus (I forget which it was) and got into a Grammar school... Hardly lifetime achievements though..

Look at the frickin' date! Last Updated: Tuesday May 17 2005 17:20 GMT Crazy how this poll has resurfaced and most Nintendo news sites are posting it up as hot new news. And anyway, NewsRound is for the >12 so i doubt this means much anyway... I mean take this article I found on their website "The average age of the UK gamer is 28, which might be higher than you thought! Strangely, 51% of the 36 to 50s play games, and that number is growing." Obviously this website/show is aimed at a very young demographic

Some clever things said by a magazine man himself, Steve Jarratt from ONM. Q: The world of videogaming media has changed drastically over the years, with the Internet medium becoming the primary source for the latest news and views nowadays. Does this necessarily put extra pressure on the staff, or is the issue moot due to the ultimate difference in quality and professionalism? A: This is a constant point of discussion on the mags, and we’re continually evolving the products to reflect this. We’ve ditched news in favour of news analysis, as we’re so late compared to RSS feeds and so on. Likewise, we need to make sure our features and reviews are as sharp as possible, and we try to keep thinking of new ways to present the information. Fortunately, magazines are a much more visual medium and I think we can still do lots with the combination of words and pictures that websites are a long way from emulating. The gap in ‘professionalism’ isn’t as great as it used to be, since websites are raising their game and can now afford to pay for full-time staff. But I think the reader experiences websites in a different way to magazines: websites are much more news-based, with bite-sized snippets of information or opinion. Magazines still have the edge when it comes to longer features, and also in forming a real bond between the team and its audience. Hopefully the recent ABC increases for Edge (it’s highest ever) and GamesMaster prove that there’s still keen interest in titles that have a clearly-defined character or sense of humour. Go to GameStation. Their offical price for Baten is 19.99. That's were I got mine from and although the website says out of stock I'm sure there are Gamestations around the country that have them in stock. I'm nearly certain my local still has a few in.

Last time I have money to a tramp he started following me and at as I waited at a traffic lights he came up behind me and started muttering that I was a German chicken, so yeah, I try and avoid them really...

Man, I'm a sucker for crying while laughing. I just can't stop laughing then the tears just come rolling down and down. On topic though, I don't really tend to cry. If someone has done something mean I don't cry I just burn and seethe inside and get really angry. If something sad happens I just tend to feel really frustrated instead of crying. Then the frustration leads to anger and I just hit or throw something, like throwing loads a crap of a desk kinda thing.

That is most excellent. THe people that tried it clain that " the clear blue beverage offers a "mysterious taste." and "tasted like a nutritional supplement drink with a fresh aftertaste.

How come there was no big arse celebration for Mario in 2005?
|Laguna| replied to Anakenobi's topic in General Chit Chat
Hmm, it was Zelda's 20th a few weeks ago and hardly anything happend about that... : / On another awesome note, I got the Japanese Famicom micro for my birthday and it is bluddy awesome, the screen is just amazing and there are absolutely no issues regarding reading text. Really think this will give life the ole GBA with it actually being something you can bung in your pocket when you go out, should give me an opputunity to go over some good games, like Golden Sun, and buy some new ones, like Golden Sun 2. -
Hah, will probably go the same route as Japan. It's crazy, Microsoft have cut the prices on 360 there so much that a premium costs as much as a core pack over here.

Rebuy the great games of the past I once owned which I fooolishly sold back.

Instead of money people could give book tokens! This way the tramps would become more enlightend, and be abel to spend the money on drinks and drug.

Pikmin 2 definetly. I found the time contstrain in the first one off putting, never really felt that I could go around and appreciate the places. Also, Pikmin 2 has new types + you can get it Free with a subscription to ONM. Now that's a deal.

Meh, coursework's not bad. I'm in my final year of my GCSES (11). Generally it's not a matter of it being difficult, just putting in the time and getting into it and keep plugging at it. Most of them aren't that bad except English in which you get a pot load of it (6 I've done I think) and they're generally dull if they're analytical and not creative like writing a story (that's fairly easy, *looks at mature A* story). I think it's generally a good thing, takes a slight pressure off the exam and can and generally will boost up your exam grade by one if you get a good mark in the CW. Any who, what was everyone's Worst Coursework? I found mine was a 5,000 word essay on war poetry for English... took so bluddy long and was so freakin' boring.

NGC New Gaming Site Project Revealed
|Laguna| replied to |Laguna|'s topic in General Gaming Discussion
Found these which I found fairly amusing http://gamesradarisrubbish.ytmnd.com/ http://gamesradarisrubbish2.ytmnd.com/ Ha! When you sign up you get an e-mail from "The Homies at GR'." -
As readers of NGC know they have been advertising this so called new gaming site, the advert claims that it will be "your new favourite gaming site" So here it is! http://beta.gamesradar.com/gb/index.jsp Personally I think it looks crap and it killed my Firefox with all the adblock tabs, but hey, the current gamesradar is appaling, with the ads bang in the middle destroying the page. Also, their megre 200 word reviews don't impress me.. Your opinions?
-
Hmm, I see it is., but mines better because it's centred Darn, I was rather fond of that sig I found. Oh well, time for change... Whaddya think? On another note, related to the topic, I was primarily thinking about it because, albeit farfeteched, I was thinking about the possibility of doing my compulsory work experience there.

Now I'm sure many of you have looked at your manual and when coming to end of them on the backpage it has the Nintendo logo and underneath UK and Ireland: Nintendo UK 188 Bath Road, Slough, Berkshire, SL1 3GA, U.K So what I want to know is what actually goes on there? Just always been curious as I live kinda near it and I wondered if some walking-talking Nintendo knowledge bank or industry person knew. Thanks
