  1. Yes, well done to whoever is responsible for the increased speed. *pats on back*
  2. Man I love that quote. Also, Day Of The Tentacle (excellent LucasArts adventure game) "You know what they say: "To save the world, you have to push a few old ladies down the stairs." Bernard Another great LucasArts adventure game of old, Sam & Max Sam: Percent sign, ampersand, dollar sign! Max: And colon, semicolon, too! Man: What are you #^&@ing doing?! Sam: We're swearing in longhand, asterisk-mouth. Sam: Aww, it's a cute, little, hypercephalic kitten. Max (three alternate responses): 1) I am repulsed by his bulging eyes. 2) I'll call him "Mittens", since he'd make a fine pair of them. 3) He's adorable! Let's take him home and put tape on his feet.
  3. Aye, I agree, it's probably in the worst possible part of the cycle right now due to the Gamecube slowly dying and the Revo a fair way off. Im sure there will be plently more people like you said at the eve of the Revolution and also the time were Twilight Princess has a confirmed not too far away release dates. Also the speed is of this place has gone to the dogs
  4. Monkey Island Series * Guybrush: "How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?" Carpenter: "A woodchuck could chuck no amount of wood since a woodchuck can't chuck wood." Guybrush: "But if a woodchuck could chuck and would chuck some amount of wood, what amount of wood would a woodchuck chuck?" Carpenter: "Even if a woodchuck could chuck wood and even if a woodchuck would chuck wood, should a woodchuck chuck wood?" Guybrush: "A woodchuck should chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood, as long as a woodchuck would chuck wood." Carpenter: "Oh shut up." Insult: "You fight like a dairy farmer." Comeback: "How appropriate. You fight like a cow." "Look behind you, a Three-Headed Monkey!" Guybrush: "You're about as fearsome as a doorstop." Murray (evil talking skull): "Is it a really evil-looking doorstop?" Guybrush: "Never mind."
  5. Because you are... a puppet... Jenova, Final Fantasy VII Oh GAWD! If I knew this was gonna happen, I would've taken rope escape lessons more seriously!! Yuffie, Final Fantasy VII Selphie: I had such a nice dream... Squall: I didn't...I dreamt I was a moron... Final Fantasy VIII Great, I have a Chicken Wuss and a guy who just reached puberty in my squad. Siefer, Final Fantasy VIII "When I grow up, I wanna be a blitzball!" Kid in FFX, script mistake
  6. Aye, any game as long as it has been released on a Nintendo platform.
  7. |Hmmmm, I was thinking about this poll and shouldn't it be done at the end of the GC lifespan? I am of this opinion because most probably TP is going to come out and is almost guanteed, if what is said and seen of it so far is true, to rocket into at least everyones top 5.
  8. You have to see Quezman, the guy who's dying in the village. The you present the Family Tree chart you got from from Quezman to her and then she says she'll only leave if you give her a bluebird, then you give it to her. Also, I'm pretty sure that pictures are only intended to be sold becasue all the magnus you ever encounter is stored in like an encloypedia in one of the menu screens. Still loving this game, just got the red haired guy in my party, Lyude?. Thought the kind of SRPGish element in thte knight battles was another cool idea.
  9. 1) Try and revise for GCSEs a little bit everyday, or at least every week 2) Begin learning Japanese and actually stick with it 3) Save money for Revolution 4) Generally go out more 5) Do something awesome for New Year's Eve 2006
  10. Aye, I'm doing pretty much the same as Stocka, generally we a have a bfamily shindig thing but my Dad's with my Grandma in Ireland because she's really old and the homehelp are on holiday. Except instead of having a tasty Indian, which is my damn favourite food and our locals are legendary (they give us a crazy free gift everytime we go, be it a calender, a Cobra or bars of Idian chocolate ) I was forced to endure a turkey pasta bake thing my Mum made which I had to pretend to like even though I generally despise turkey when it's not on Christmas day or in a sandwich with stuffing the days after Christmas. Anywho, a New Year Resolution is to do something good next new year.
  11. Hmm, how many of you have actully read the article? Eh? I'm pretty sure NGC were saying that TP will be released early Spring on GC becasue they wouldnt want to dissapointed/piss off the loyal GC owners. NGC are saying that Nintendo will re-release TP for the Revo release, only this time TP is implementing funky new Revo controls, meaning that the Big N wouldn;t lost out on a big game due to poor GC sales and that people buying a Revo could play the whole game again as it would be a completly different experience, actually swinging your sword and such.
  12. Sweet Jesus that looks slick. Just adore the box shots of the SNES games and the wee description.
  13. Baten Kaitos, 19.99, Gamestation. Amazing deal.
  14. I just adore the battle system, the freshest and best battle system, dare I say it, I've ever played. The thing which makes it great for me is that you have to constantly involved, your mind always has to be working, spoting combos, making sure elements don't combine badly. This makes you always having to be alert and on your guard. I then contrast a typical Final Fantasy or any other turn based RPG battle system and you always get a point in the game in which you are just truding through an area being met with random battles all the time (take the Mushroom Rockroad in Final Fantasy X for example) and everytime a battle would occur I'd be sitting there lazily pressing X to attack, after the battle I would just hold forward, probably while reading through some magazine and when i hear the battle music I'd just continue to thumb the X button. Baten Kaitos always keeps me engaged because of it's fantastic battle system and two, it's simply wonderful sublime environments which are just a joy to watch. Also, the voices really aren't as bad as people say they are. I think they are perfectly fine in general, give or take a few words in which the emphasis is slightly astrew
  15. Ahhh, suddenly releasied I hadn't posted here, and the cut off date is tommorow! Anyways 1) Pokemon red (or blue) Mainly becasue I was just in love with the whole pokemon thing and I was still young at the time so me getting red and my brother getting blue and each putting our sibling name as the rival trainer made it magical. Also trading and restarting in the beginning so I could have all 3 starter pokemon just like Ash... (although they bloddy always were disobeying me) The catch em all thing was so great and I'd train up my favourites not the power houses so I had an un evolved squirtile in my l33t 4 battle becasue I thought Warototle was ugly and would spoil my group's carma. Another amazing bit was lurking around in the forest for hours just to find that elusive pikachu and then with my second play through, I caught 6 of them (took hours) and compared all their stats to see which one was naturally best stats wise. Also fuelled my love for RPGs, who knows, if this game hadnt happend maybe I wouldn't be such a big RPG fan and would've never enjoyed the amazing RPGs available today. 2) The Legend OF Zelda: Ocarina Of Time Loved this game as it took me so long to complete, I was never really avidly playing it but it was always there, and it seemed to last forever. The final moment in which you beat the boss (trying to avoid spoilers) and you think ahhh all over, flop the controller down, you instead have to peg it down and out of the castle. I was like Truely beautiful for it's time, I remember my brother going on about how you could see this gaint castle in the distance and you slowly get nearer towards it and you can see more and more detail, and that were wasn't any pop up astounded me. Also Epona was amazing, and the transformation of turning young link into adult was amazing also. 3)Resident Evil 4 Amazing game which I never get tired of playing through, just oh so fun. Love the sense of panic and fright it can give you, the minecart ride was also epic, with the chainsaw man hopping over into your bit of the mine. 4)Mystical Ninja Staring Goemon (the first N64 one) Just love this game and the whole style of it. Look back with nothing over than loving memories. 5) Goldeneye Fantastic in multiplayer, loved the speed runs to try and unlock cheats, loved the new objectives you got on 00 Agent. Just loved loved loved this game. Playing as OddJob and everyone moaning are among many of the fabulous memories I have of this game. Other games that deserve a mention and the just missed out are 1080 N64, WWF No Mercy, F-Zero N64, Majora Mask, Link To The Past, Link's Awakening, Smash Bros GC, and Mario Kart.
  16. After a hour or two of were you are you get empty magnus which you can store stuff in, a flame is one of them. Then you go and use that.
  17. May not be the coolest or the fastest (it is the turbo edition though) but I think this car's great Loved it since this brilliant game
  18. But is also very very good. Gameplay ship to Europe too. http://shop.gameplay.co.uk/webstore/advanced_search.asp?keyword=pokemon&platform=ALL&x=37&y=3 or maybe Ebay Slovenia?
  19. Wow, Birmingham's luck really is out. Izzet got sent off for a dive when, abliet he fell, but he didn't make any attempt to claim that it was a foul and that he'd have a penalty. Also, what has Baros done to his hair?!
  20. Excuse my ignorance but when is that actually predicted to be coming out? After reading the NGC preview of it and rather hyped yet when I looked at various shop release dates they all seemed to differ. Thank you!
  21. Well, on the scoring matter. It is my opinion that the degree to accuracy to which a score out of 100 gives is unnecessarily high. I mean, honestly, what’s the difference between a game that gets 61% and one that gets 68%? Although albeit out of 5 ratings aren't perfect but they will in the end encourage gamers to give good but not perfect titles a go, like Beyond Good and & Evil because the gap isn't too big between the game and a perfect score. Out of fives give easy differentiation, 1=appaling 2=bad 3=average 4=good 5=excellent However, I'd say the ideal scoring system is out of 10 because By making the reviewer only give ten scores to choose from, they are forced to be more selective in the one we choose.
  22. Well done Sprout! Any future comic plans in the pipeline ?
  23. True, but Colloseum is half the price.
  24. Is there any given reason for dumping the mini handheld section and amalgamating the DS reviews into the GC review section and rating them out of 100? which I personally think isn't as good as the 5/5 system.
  25. Aye, I agree, Lauren is often doing two footed tackles
