  1. I like that quite a lot... 7/10. I had to knock it down a bit because the monkey is so pixelated.
  2. This is interesting. I'm sure New Scientist will ahve something more in depth about it next issue.
  3. That reminds me... The other day, my sister said "do I look fat in this", and I said (sarcastically) "I can't see, you're blocking out the light" and she said "oh, sorry, I'll move away from the window".
  4. I used to be very good on that cutscence in final fantasy, just before you fight seymour for the second time. I lost against him so much and had to go through it again that for a while I could recite every word.
  5. This is a competition that I made up ages ago for another site... a very small minority of people here might have seen it before. Basically, it starts when I provide a picture, which people must then add stuff to. The important thing is that the original picture cannot be moved. (the colour can be changed, but it cannot be chopped up etc.) So, for the starting picture, I've gone for something simple: An an example entry (a crap one): Right... when there are lots of entries, I guess we can vote for the best one, and then the winner can post the next picture.
  6. Science, especially Biology and Chemistry, as I expect people have noticed. Japan, and Japanese. Maths, though not at the same standard as Odwin (I'm halfway through double maths A-level). Grammar and stuff.
  7. Indeed. Anyway, a German zoo was threatened by gay rights activists after they tried to break up homosexual relations between penguins.
  8. Sensitivity is another name for irritability, meaning response to a stimulus. I'm not saying fire is alive, I'm just pointing out the faults of MRS NERG. It also deems viruses to be dead, even though some consider them alive.
  9. Ah... but the same can apply to fire. Movement - It moves. Respiration - It produces energy from oxygen. Sensitivity - You blow it, it moves. Nutrition - It needs fuel. Excretion - It gives out charcoal. (and a crap is egestion ) Reproduction - Other fires can spring up. Growth - it definitely grows in size. ...
  10. God I want to find a grammatical error in that post.
  11. Well I think there's a difference between making you jump (which a lot of films do) and actually being scary. I think games have more potential to actually disturb you than films, but both should be able to do it. Not having seen/played many horror films/games, I've yet to come across something that genuinely scares me. Edit: Actually, Eternal Darkness came close, providing that I played it in the middle of the night.
  12. I don't think you're undead... ghosts are completely dead.
  13. Tut tut tut... That's not the kind of attitude we want in this thread Boo. All facts matter here. If you weren't a ghost already, I'd have to kill you... As for the milkshake thing, I think they're mainly ice cream, so you just have to wait for it to melt.
  14. First stanza starts with a simile.
  15. Magdelene, Cambridge gave us free cans of coke...
  16. You might want to change the topic title... it currently looks like an advert. Personally I think these books are a waste of time... I know someone who makes loads of money from ebay without ever having bought a book.
  17. Or not... But anyway, I think most people would be able to do it.
  18. Uh... I can. (but then I'm double jointed)
