I believe there is a law stating that shinigami get killled (some sort of punishment) if they have sex with humans or other shinigami... bit random, that one.

If I'm a really big fan of a series (read: for Higurashi) I read the manga after watching the anime even if it is exactly the same, to squeeze as much enjoyment out of the series as possible.

I highly recommend Higurashi, Welcome to the NHK, and Mai HiME. And if you want a series that is good with no action whatsover, try Honey and Clover.

Come on now, this is a thread about books, not about the merits or demerits of Angel. I bought a few books yesterday: After the Quake and Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami, Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman, You Don't Have to be Evil to Work here but it Helps by Tom Holt, and Impossibility: The Limits of Science and the Science of Limits by John D. Barrow. A good catch, methinks. Talking of Tom Holt, has anyone read the Paul Carpenter trilogy? I think it's pretty great.

I only got them to play with... but they were never as good as magic. We used to play Warhammer 40k as well, that was also fun, but magic was still better.

You're right. I sold all my cards on ebay a couple of years ago. About 2/3 of them were actually bidded for, and I made a total of £8.25...

Oh yes, Tamigotchis... I got obsessed with them as well, or the cheap knockoff ones by Tiger electronics anyway. They got really annoying, becuase you had to look after all the time or they died. I remember my sister's one lived for a record 24 days, then my friend killed it and she went mental.

Ah, so that's what they're called. I remember our school banned pokemon cards when someone flushed a whole load of someone elses down the toilet. I can't remember them ever buying yoyos... Also, I played magic with my friends, so when pokemon cards were banned, we wrote up a list of why magic shouldn't be banned as well, and presented it to the headmaster. It worked!

I remember Pokemon, furbies and yoyos... Looking at kids at the moment, the craze this Christmas seems to have been those rollerskate trainer things.
