You Sir, you are wrong. De Blob is full of lively characters, and it oozes charm and magic from every corner. Are you sure you're not confusing 'character' with 'branks masks', because i've not seen a single branks mask in the game.

Excellent news. I must admit to only recently renting this. I had rather low expectations of the game despite the positive reviews. However, i've been pleasantly surprised. Hopefully, Infinity Ward will be producing a Wii version of Modern Warefare 2.

Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles

Honest to fuck, would it have killed them to slide Leon to the left and give me control of him? Without the style and art of Overkill, this is just going to seem a rather generic zombie shooter.- 415 replies

Capcom, despite their recent comments have always had good successes in the West, so the argument of them using the 360 for a Western push is redundant. Pure speculation, but i believe Microsoft made some form of deal with Capcom- its absolutely clear that MS are desperate to reduce the Playstations exclusive, third party lineup.- 415 replies

How has Overkill sold? VGcharts, which i don't think are too reliable, suggest its sold 120,000. Not brilliant, but not abysmal either.

All of these games were COMPLETED for release in Japan in 2007.

As has the 360. Its only in the past few weeks its made headway in Japan. So, that also is a rubbish comparison.- 415 replies

its like every other industry, Nintendo will open up the door to price increases across the whole industry. Watch, both Sony and Microsoft will follow.

But ultimately, isn't LBP just a pretty 2D platformer with a comprehensive level editor? Thats not exactly 'next gen'. As far as i'm concerned 'next gen' is a little more than spanky visuals- the only two games i consider next gen are actually Mario Galaxy and Portal (because they play with physics in a new and refreshing way)

I think thats obscenely expensive. Prohibitively so, actually. If you consider that 2000 points is roughly £15, i think £60 is over the top for an annual subscription to a single game. Hopefully, Capcom may choose to waive its fees for the Western Market, but i do feel for our Eastern friends' wallets.

By even mentioning Code Veronica, Capcom have set the Wii communtity up for disappointment. Thats the problem as i see it.- 415 replies

Thats an impressive figure- probably much more than Nintendo expected. Nearly a third. To be fair, its probably Lostmario distorting the stats.

It shouldn't be much of a surprise. Mario Galaxy is simply the best game of this generation, and deserves the recognition.

heart sinks. Light gun games are all well and good, but we're getting too many. Whats wrong with new ideas?- 415 replies

Absolutely. I love House of the Dead, and looking forward to Dead Space. I wasn't dissing at all! Hopefully, it is new and refreshing, rather than a 'me too' On-rails re-invention.

Don't know about pie throwing, but i'm eating the humble variety. Just. I'm not a fan of the insect style bots still, and i simply not interested in those minigames (hopefully, they're just that and not part of the main game) but my opinion has changed for the better.

The dirty get was expected to do what?! I'm not going to pretend I have adequate technical knowledge to counter this hackers suggestions, but here are my thoughts... Surely each game would require the in-game 'hook' to look for DLC (and the adequate internal storage)? When playing Offline games, i'm sure the Wii can go online to pick up Wii Messages. Again, surely its just the 'hook'. Err. Sparrowdust. Existing titles, agreed. But games can tap into Wii System FC's- so future titles could have a unified code based on the system numbers? Err. I'm sure we do get updates, Nintendo have added substantial features like parental controls, speedier SD access, adding a clock to Menu, removing accomplishments notes in calendar.

Yes, thankyou. A couple of people sent some over, so thanks to all. What can be achieved with WiiMusic is actually rather impressive, for me, the overall experience was marred by the controls- but i can't quite make out the problem with them.

Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles

But why won't it work? I don't understand. With the right team, right leadership, of course it'll work. Like most remakes, you can add, alter and re-envisage things- want speedier zombies? Crimson Heads. Want a more tense atmosphere? Reduce the ammo. Rather than going out on a limb and saying it won't work, i'd rather keep an open mind.- 415 replies

As opposed to the narrow woodland paths, castle steps, underground caves and industrial walkways of Resident Evil 4. It'd work.- 415 replies

Eurogamer also awarded RE5 7/10, so that sounds about right. Wait for the internet to explode as 360 owners realise a Wii game is rated higher than RE...

There seems massive commercial pressure for Capcom to put RE5 on Wii- it'd be stupid to ignore it. And since its an RE5 event, it'd make sense to announce a Wii version too. But as is said, this is Capcom (who after an initial double whammy of Z&W and RE4, seem to be chasing the HD formats).- 415 replies
