  1. Still Wii Points. 'Virtual Console Arcade' titles added to shop
  2. New firmware for Wii available NOW. Ver 4.0E. Noticable features. Seperate SD card menu to launch channels- channels do not appear on Wii Menu. Not the 'one click' we were promised, its two. Transfer from SD to memory just a few seconds (based on Cubello). An improvement. Save shop channel downloads direct to SD. Shop channel DOES NOT recognise SD data, claiming any title saved to SD is 'downloadable'. However, if you attempt to download, the system then checks and prohibits it. WiiSpeak 2.0 available. No obvious additions in lobby- perhaps they're available in chat?
  3. San Fran is 7 hours behind up. 4pm-7 hours is 9am. 9am is Iwata's Keynote
  4. And for some reason you can't perform a system update at present. Error code 32007.
  5. very... Why was it deleted?
  6. Links for both sites. IGN 1UP You have no idea how difficult that was on my N95 phone!
  7. The key note is at 9am San Fran time. They're 7 hours ahead i think, so expect news to filter through about 4 or 5pm. IGN usually blog things, i'm sure 1up are too.
  8. When i heard this, i instantly thought of the rumours of a Silent Hill remake Climax are said to be working on.
  9. Was GDC stuff really embargoed until E3 last year? Yikes
  10. I'm not entirely sure i agree with you. I don't think games- or any media- should refrain from using violence if its integral to the experience. The Silence of the Lambs demands its violence due to its subject matter- it'd be a very different film without it. I think the same can be applied to games- such as MadWorld and Overkill. I'm again not sure the simple inclusion of violence is enough to warrant people dismissing games as adolescent. I know people with DS who'd not touch anything but Brain Training since they believe games in general are adolescent. I'm not sure, but I'm starting to believe the older gamer is demanding- and whats being left out of the Wii lineup (including The Conduit as far as i can tell) is a deeper, well written narrative. A more cinematic experience, perhaps. But thats an argument for a different thread, i'm sure.
  11. Eh? They're the same game, the exact same game. Only one is bundled with WiiSpeak and one without.
  12. we were never going to get a realistic racer.
  13. I think it has changed. Publishers like EA, THQ, SEGA and Activision have had some great successes with core titles for Wii- hopefully, they're starting to think its quality that sells and not just Nintendo.
  14. There were some rumours about developments issues- but weren't they problems with the recalibration of the device, rather than games themselves? Either way, I honestly can't see Nintendo issuing new tech without its own showcase software.
  15. DSware is simply a new avenue for small games- like the vast amount of stuff on WiiWare, it'd not prove profitable for the DS.
  16. I sense WiiSports Resort will premier the week before.
  17. Mark up five Kudos points for this man. Knowing Capcom's behaviour of recent times, it'll end up as a HD Remix for 360 and PS3.
  18. Wii Fit is great, absolutely brilliant, at what its trying to do. May not be to everyones taste, but i don't think it'll be beaten as an entertaining exercise application. Really? Other media has products that sell for months, years even? Movies- usually a few weeks in cinema, then repackaged for home viewing, again selling for a few weeks. Discounted, followed with trickling sales. Same with books, same with music. Few, if any, have the shelflife of WiiFit, Mario Kart or Dr Kawashima's Brain Training.
  19. Yes. Yes. Yes. We're two games behind Japan- almost three- its about time NOE took their fingers out of their asses and localised the remaining games.
  20. Iwata's keynote is entitled "Discovering New Development Opportunities". What could fall into this? - It was Hero of Time who posted this patent application for a Wii learning pack for kids. Could actually show up in line with Iwata's topic. -DSware, WiiWare again fall into this category. Could include new titles, and Wii storage solution.
  21. For some odd reason, i can't get NSU to install on the PC. Just kicks me out saying its not got all the components... Never mind i thought, i.ll see if i can do it directly to phone via the wireless router- but can't seem to find the option to do this on the site. Any thoughts on either the installation, or a wireless option.
  22. 2 player, online co-op? The brothers' gonna work it out.
  23. For some reason, i thought Iwatas keynote was Monday... Its not, its Wednesday 9am (SF time)- thats about 6pm, right? Any live feeds that we know of?
  24. A sequel to Fifa09? Don't be rediculous.
  25. I'm not so sure. Seems, for Wii, anything with an adult theme is a tester. That said, i'm not sure why. Early games like Godfather, and Scarface were reasonably successful along with the million seller Red Steel. More recent games, like World at War again prove there's a strong market here. But still, we're waiting for some positive noises from the big publishers (who are still convinced Wii can't support mature titles made by top tier teams).
