Battalion Wars Revolution; Confirmed!!
david.dakota replied to Retro_Link's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Russell Grant. He can be the evil leader of a new army, who are hell bent on writing dodgy horrorscopes. -
If you draw an analogy between these cartoons and last year's showing of Jerry Springer The Opera on the BBC, you can see there ARE differences in how different Christianity and Islam react to "attacks" on their faith. At no point do i recall such a backlash, such hatred in the Christian protests against the BBC's decision to show Springer. Islam has a right to protest against these images, no one is disputing that but, the banners calling for "Europe to have its 9/11" are unaceptable and help to do nothing but further exclude the people and faith of Islam from European Society. If these people continue to divide themselves from acceptable European Society they should forcefully be removed. It should also be noted that however much I dislike the UK tabloid press, it has so far been extremely sensitive in not printing these images. However, some people within the Islam faith have protested to the extreme in London and other places with offensive and unacceptable slogans.

Nintendo Power: Keep your eye on Reggie, February 9th
david.dakota replied to Stocka's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Hasn't Nintendo commented that as we get closer to E3, we'll hear less and less info. Not that we can get much less than "Naff All". -
Can anyone recommend a virus check for a PC that is definately infected with a multitude of virus'. I've personally recommended my brother takes it to a PC repair shop, but in order to speed it up a bit until the weekend, i'm wondering if a virus check will help.

Nintendo make huge profits and many people forget that. Nintendo are in a prime position. No doubt Nintendo will make a small profit on each Revolution sold (much like they have on Gamecube). Sony, Microsoft are going to see their profits squeezed this generation; again MS are loosing hundreds on each XBox360 sold and Sony will be loosing even more per PS3 sold. That means to break even they've got a higher games:hardware ratio to acheive - and is that really possible when games prices have jumped up to £50?! It may be possible that Nintendo come third place next generation; however I can see them making far more cash than Microsoft and Sony throughout this generation.

A Nintendo controller that doesn't work with a platform game?! Thats quite close to suicide! Of course a platformer can work with the controller. Assuming Nunchuka stylee, the analogue stick controls Mario as usual. A on the Baton is Jump, B Trigger is "action" and your pointer represents Mario's "interest". For example, Mario can shoot his fireballs by pointing the baton at a goomba he's running past and pressing B or if not in Fireball mode, you could track the ? block with the and jump - if your not tracing the block as you run up to it, you knock Mario out! Just a few ideas.

Maybe Twilight Princess will fully explain Ganondorf's metamorphosis to the far more gruesome Ganon (giant beast in Ocarina/giant piggy in Link to the Past).

I think its safe to say that Zoonami's secret game is heading to Next Gen Nintendo.

You can pick up some amaxing offers at the moment, i've seen a Gamecube with either RE4 or Mario Kart for £49.99. I think the official RRP is still just under the £100 mark, but stores are massively discounting the cube to rid stocks.

I live in the UK, but need to send a cheque or postal order - at least i think thats right - to the States in US dollars. How can i go about doing this?

mabye the nintendoON idea wasn't that far out altogether?

I can't see that Nintendo would consider a visor, either. It doesnt fit with what the Rev Controller is trying to do. If a visor were to be considered, sure a glove style controller would be better? -

About six months ago, I signed with a certain broadband provider (backed by a well known high street mobile phone retail store) and everything was going swimmingly until I moved house. Since moving house, i've had nothing but problems. Its took nearly two months to change the line over (initially blaming BT, but an HONEST telephone agent confirmed it was not BT's fault) and then after a confusing letter was sent to me I requested clarification - which has not been given dispite several telephone calls. I'm now looking at closing my account with them. However, since there si a twelve month contact this may prove difficult. Any thoughts? Firstly, the BT line is owned/rented by my parents - could they say I never had permission to give the phone line to the Broadband provider? Secondly, could i consider the lack of customer service as breach of contract (since I do honestly beleive that customer service is a contractual right).

Hollywood and Broadway... Silly names or Secret CODE!!!
david.dakota replied to Deku-Nutz's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Didnt Iwata confirm Broadway because its the home of Live Entertainment (makes sense with the Baton Controller) and Hollywood because its the home of movie making? or something similar to that? -
I think the game is an equal to the original Wars games, but simply given a 3d sheen... it has a brilliant blend of actionn and strategy.

I don;t expect a console woth high specs and medium visuals. Personally, i'm entirely convinced that Nintendo has created a method ot programming amazing visuals at a fraction of the hardware cost. But thats by the by, anyway. We've seen the revolution and it looks like a tv remote and will change video gaming forever.

After just an hour of playin Batallion Wars, i feel I can safely say that its one of the best games on our humble gamecube platform. a few little quirks aside, Juju have crafted a game to the calibur ot Nitendo, Rare and Silicon Knights. Britsoft Foreever! Thoughts please

What about "Jamie Oliver's Pukka Tukka" - an exclusive to Nintendo Revolution. Chop, whisk with the baton and occasionally throw a wobbler because your derilect camper van breaks.
-
With Mario Kart a cert on Revolution, what ideas do you think Nintendo should pack into the game? More than 8 racers? Wifi grandprix? Let your imaginations run wild!

Every so often you'll find these "insiders" on various forums. As a general rule of thumb, take everything with a pinch of salt. Most people here have learned from a little thing called "megaton"....

Wario for sure, why he was missing from Melee is anyones guess!

I'm not sure it really matters, does it? Xbox 360 is proving that a standard DVD is more than enough to contain games in HighDef - I really can't see that Blue-Ray is necessary for video gaming. Sony's expensive Blue-Ray wil simply ramp up the prices of PS3 games.

I went into a store to purchase a wireless router, but the guy just completely baffled me. I'm looking for a replacement for my current (cheap give-away) modem and a wireless solution so that a laptop can also e used at home (and of course mt DS!). Any suggestions?
