I didn't play much of the original Olympic Games because they felt like absolute piss, as you said they are like a backwards Wii Sports and it lacks any soul whatsoever. I was dead against it... until 2012. I can't wait until you get there, honestly London 2012 is one of the best party games ever and put the Mario & Sonic Olympics on a whole other level for me. They have consistently been one of my all time favourite party games ever since then, in a time where Mario Party had lost all credit. They also went above and beyond to celebrate both franchises 2012 onwards. I'll forever be bitter that SEGA started on such a sour note, as the games that followed were all fantastic in their own way but required a "believe me, it's better than you think" speech. I'll be honest, I agree with you both I actually heard this song first having never played Shadow back in the day and was pretty pumped for it. Rest assured when I did finally get around to playing the game a few years ago I was massively disappointed. I usually stick up for Sonic Team but man, that game is garbage. Haha yeah as a JRPG noob I didn't pay much attention to the individual stats until recently apart from 'big level number equals good' So I'm deffo using up all those skls I've collected so far and gaining more as we speak! I honestly thought they were randomly triggered so I'm gonna go ham on the skill stats now.

I do, though I barely ever see it! Saying that I do believe I didn't have it on Wii U as I remember thinking it was perhaps new to Switch or something as it's the only duo art I couldn't remember! And god yeah they are nightmares, I just hope for the best I can do a near 1 shot kill with Ellie's Final Hour Though I try not to use it as I mostly like to keep my SP for Mamori's microwavin' as it gives her another go after using it, when I do normal heals I nearly always just end up in a healing loop until I die!

Lol yeah, looking back now I can't believe I even attempted it when I was in my late 70's The random duo songs also seem a lot less common in this boss fight than any other fights But it might just feel that way as I'm always gasping for air

Ok so that secret boss is still kicking my ass so I spent the week hardcore grinding and got all my party members up to level 99 (max). I go in for another shot and still get annihilated! But, and here's the big butt, I have a game plan. While I am at level 99 with all characters, some of their stats aren't max and you can get single stat boosts of each type (mag, str, def etc) by trading 9 detritus with a guy in the arena. You get detritus from killing Savage Enemies and so more grinding awaits for that detritus to hopefully fully max out my heroes - and thanks to my previous grinding, these so called Savage Enemies aren't too savage for me now anyway. Finally, I need the final weapons for each character, I only have Itsuki's final weapon so far. To get them I need a War Testament, which I get by completing the hard as nails (but again slightly easier now I'm buff af) Legendary arena which awards me with 9 arena coins which I can then trade for a war testament when I get up to 40 coins. So I'm hoping that when I have finally got all the final weapons and boosted my stats to the high heavens I can beat this dickhead of a secret boss. After all this, the actual final boss which I've been putting off until now will be as easy as eating chips (a great phrase one of my teachers used to say) Anyway, onto getting the actual special edition and... I paid immediately upon selecting 'buy it now' and so was pumped every morning getting to my front door with the hope that it would be here. Fast forward to FRIDAY and the seller is like "here's some final pics, just making sure you are happy with it before I post". 5 days after and they're saying things like before I post!??! Alas I replied with "yes that's great" and let the anger sink down into my soul as I know how much of a steal I'm getting this for - and with their slow hesitant response rate makes me think they've realised they perhaps listed it a bit low lol. Anyway, here's hoping I get it sometime this week instead

I'm just finishing up my second playthrough (New Game Plus) of Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE Encore on my Switch in hard mode, having nearly got all the play records and trophies. I have finally got to a secret boss which is not only hard as hell to unlock but also hard as nails to kill. ANYWAY, including my Wii U playthrough this will be my third jaunt through the wonderful cities and terrifying idolaspheres of Tokyo. Back in 2016 when it launched over here I was not really into JRPG's so got the normal edition of the game, little did I know it would wind up being one of my favourite games ever. The Switch version only ever released as a normal cart, the mega awesome special Fortissimo Edition that launched alongside the normal Wii U release was a one time thing. I keep seeing art from the artbook posted on Twitter every now and then and it all looks so cool, and the book STILL hasn't been scanned online, so with the general obscurity of the game and the further obscurity of the Fortissimo Edition I knew it was unlikely I'd see all of the art book unless... I had to finally do it - I ordered it on eBay!! I'm so pumped man, finally doing what I should have done 5 years ago. It should be with me in a few days!

I sold it recently for the sole purpose of not being able to play locally because of lockdown. I was half considering getting it again when lockdown is over and this is tempting me even more. It's just a shame there is a lack of boards, people complain about them but I think the actual boards, while smaller than usual, are fine. It's purely the fact that there are so few to choose from. Still, I just think it's crazy that a game that hasn't had an update before gets a full online update out of the blue years after release. You really can never predict Nintendo. That's also the reason why I think we won't get a Nintendo Switch Online Nintendo 64, it's too logical

Yes!! Here's hoping you get on!! It's probably one of the few reality shows I think I could maybe handle, but I would still feel awkward using the bathroom knowing they have cameras there hahaha. Let's say you did get into the show but you HAD to be a catfish, what would your catfish identity be? This is aimed at both of you! I need to mull it over, but I'd want it to be a demographic I know a lot about so I don't end up being bland and basic which is the trap so many catfish fall into.

I'm certainly wary of buying non Nintendo games at launch for this reason as I have been burned a few times, now it's better to wait a month or two as in nearly every case there is some form of price drop. I remember Impossible Lair dropped really quickly but I didn't mind as I like supporting them, Kingdom Hearts 3 really left me sour, I got that launch day for £49.99 and a few months later it was £29.99 rrp - I saw it in CEX today for a fiver! Elsewhere, does anyone think the price of labo will go up in years to come or be something no one gives a shit about ala Wii Mini. I ask because it's not confirmed but seems somewhat likely that most Labo besides the VR kit will be discontinued. I also saw on Reddit in the last few days a lot of people in America have been finding brand new Labo massively discounted. I doubt we'll get that here though as I haven't seen it in any shops since a few months after it launched.

I've really struggled to get into the US season, not sure if it's the characters or if i'm just a bit burnt out on the concept giving the whirlwind that was UK season 3 so I'm gonna give it a few weeks before I dive back in. Have you guys got yourselves in deep or nay?

I got this physically on Xbox One for £30 - as suspected I love the art style and graphics, the aesthetics just scream NiGHTS and 2000's era SEGA. I have 25 Balan Trophies now and have helped the farmer, the poor girl whose dolphin turned evil and the bug girl - Through the power of balan (platforming lol), we managed to show her friends how cool bugs can be as an ugly caterpillar turned into a beautiful Butterfree right before their eyes! After my first play-through of the first 3 worlds I didn't have quite enough Balan Trophies to unlock the next set of levels but at that point I'd unlocked a bunch of new outfits and abilities so I went back and swept up things I couldn't previously nab, Yooka-Laylee style. The hub world is very sweet, you collect eggs hidden throughout the levels which can then be hatched in the hub world. To add to that there's a marble-run type contraption that the tim's mess around on and a clicker goes up unlocking more to the elaborate run when certain numbers are reached. You can feed the tims gems you've collected throughout the levels and when they've been fed enough they double in size, at which point you pick up a little tim, throw it at a big one and BAM - an egg pops out. So yeah, I've been farming tim's like crazy just because it's so welcoming coming back to the hub world with a big flock. Gameplay-wise I'm really enjoying it but that's because I still play and enjoy Dreamcast/Gamecube era platformers, I can see why people were not thrilled with this if it's not their cup of tea, to me it feels like a lost Dreamcast title which is why I'm really enjoying it but I can totally see why that would be a nightmare for many, especially given the initial asking price. Also the graphics would be nice but the resolution is absolute ass, it's barely any better than the Switch demo while playing on Xbox and at times it looks like a Wii game so I wouldn't be surprised if it dips to around 500p. I don't quite get why either as it's not really demanding, I've played the likes of Billy Hatcher and Sonic Heroes lately in HD on Dolphin and graphically there's not a huge difference apart from textures so it is strange to me why it struggles so much. Anyway, that's all for today but I'll keep ploughing through! Do I enjoy it? YES! Do I suggest it? Not really unless you're a die hard Dreamcast-era 3D platformer fan, of which I'm sure there's 10's of us worldwide!

I hope so but they have been kinda weird in general with how they dish out content this year - like their reveal reactions being twitter exclusive videos or that official podcast which, while good from a psychology and chat perspective, barely mentions any events or characters from the show itself.
