  1. This is interesting going through the past few pages reading about friends I made a decade ago. I hope everyone finds happiness soon. (Especially Ashley, I think I've known him the longest) [especially cause of Adventure Time]
  2. I'm definitely not a big gamer anymore, but this seems like a must purchase. Will probably do that tomorrow. And sorry, I can't provide a North American review for it. (Cause, you know, I used to do that shit.)
  3. Me at my roommates going away party: And yes, that's Mario Kart 64 being projected on the wall. Also, long time no see.
  4. I have a feeling I should get this. I haven't finished Spirit Tracks yet, though.
  5. You mean Freud?
  6. I just bought Origins for the Wii and was going to buy the WiiU in a month or so... Hm...
  7. Look, I know that the tips here are ridiculous. But this topic is about how to tip in the USA. If you don't like it then get the hell out of the thread -- I'm speaking the truth. What I say is a fact and if you don't like it, then you can just leave the thread and shut your ignorant face. When I travel to new places I research what the custom is and do it. I don't write anonymous paragraphs on how that culture should do it. Grow up. "Oh, vegetarians don't eat beef? Let me shove this steak in their face and tell them how delicious it is." Sorry, that's the culture. See above. "Oh, Afghanistan doesn't allow liquor?! Well I'll just bring in some Jack Daniels." Yeah, great logic you've got there Moogle.
  8. Damn, if you guys think $1/drink is too much then there's a huge difference between tipping here in NA and where you're all at. Found a link that actually agrees with me : http://www.wikihow.com/Tip-a-Bartender-Properly Item 3 And another link that a friend who worked as a server for almost 10 years posted: http://beingbostonian.com/2012/03/02/youre-an-adult-learn-how-to-tip/
  9. And? Where are you from? I'm in a smaller town where the bartenders treat me well and know my face. Besides, some drinks can cost up to $10. $1 is a 10% tip which is cheap.
  10. Here's what I normally do: 15% to 20% for average food service. Adjust accordingly. $1 every time I order a drink. Those are the only instances I tip, but haven't been on a vacation/holiday in almost 10 years. I found this link handy: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/a-cheat-sheet-on-tipping-do-s-and-don-ts.html I'm actually heading to New Orleans at the end of July. Mind letting me know how your trip goes and what to see and what to avoid? The hotel I'm staying at is Place d'Armes.
  11. And this is what the Americas were: Just playing Devil's Advocate.
  12. I haven't really used any of my shields.
  13. I tried jumping on his head the last two times, but was never able to land on it. Weird.
  14. Finally got to play again after a month and a half hiatus. How many times must I fight The Imprisoned?! Jeez. Now I'm collecting music notes. Not enjoying that too much.
  15. I just bought a 3DS on a whim. Any suggestions? I got Super Mario 3D Land.
  16. No Super Metroid... that's just wrong.
  17. I guess I'm not that far yet.
  18. How do I get that Boss Challenge? I'd like to get a special shield.
  19. Completed dungeon 4 and made it to 5 today. How many in total are there?
  20. Yeah, that spooky part scared me. Found 14, but can never find the 15th...
  21. I ran into this issue once yesterday. I think it was when two enemies were with the crystal's range.
