What song(s) are you really into at the moment?!

This wonderful Finnish folk song. -
Hey guys. Need a quick bit of help. Was at Replay Expo last weekend, and my girlfriend went dressed up as Spyro. She met this very friendly girl who is running second to win a Steelseries competition. Currently winning is our friend, who tbh doesn't deserve it. So please help this more deserved winner by following this link and (you guessed it) hitting like Now. Do any of you have any cool cosplay pics of yourself? I think I could maybe give it ago myself next year, need more encouragement though :P

I quit my band 2 days ago. Wasn't fun anymore and I was struggling to afford it. Simple.

Hellfest was excellent. Highlights for me include: Watain, Ulver, Immortal, The Devil's Blood.

Well obviously I will get the remainder of the festivals done. I would like to further my interest in learning French. I would like to read more of the books I have. I would like to have a go at writing something myself.

Going camping with friends meant we had no time to ourselves for a week. When I got back I knew I could get sex the next night. That next day was a very long day.

I'm lying on the bed with my ex. I have no shirt on, she has no trousers on. Her dad walks in. Good job he doesn't give a shit about much!

I just bought three of them. Each. -
Thats thing that I don't get about these big Leeds/Reading and Download and UK fests like that. I will see more bands I like at 1 festival than you appear to be at 3.

Reviving this as suggested in another thread, because I am off to Hellfest next week! I worked out the timetable (before changes were made:nono:) to watch:

New Iron Maiden song in my opinion: Very disappointing. 30 seconds of pointless intro, straight bass... guitar comes in... this is Maiden? Is Paul Di'Anno gonna start singing? Everything comes in together, ok that sounds cool, for about 10 seconds. Bruce sounds like he can't be arsed. Chorus sounds pretty cool but it's nothing on other songs and Bruce still sounds like he's holding back. Excellent guitar solo as always.

Interesting choice of colour :P Just put up another of my recordings where I played everything, just had someone else do the vocals, if anyone's interested

Yeah, I had another kit before those too! Hardware too is really expensive. And it's hard to spend money on it because you don't really appreciate it cos it's just standing there. But when you buy cheap shit, sooner or later you find out why it's cheap and wish you'd spent the money first time round. My bass drum skin is currently taped up! Cos it's about £30 for a replacement! It's all very expensive, but with some good earplugs or something to get rid of the deafening loudness and horrible high end, the kit does sound amazing tbh. And nice action with the duvet EEvil!

I got the Paiste PST5 for a good price on Ebay, about £200 I think, though they retail for closer to £280. The Stagg was only £25 but was quite good, sadly it's broken now and is replaced with a PST3, which is fucking awful, never buy those cymbals. The AAX I got of Ebay pretty cheap too, about £70. Then the kit, Sonor Force 2005, got a good deal and got it for £500 instead of £680ish. The pedals were £100 (but are now more expensive for some reason :?) And don't forget stands, stools, case for cymbals, loads of sticks, new skins when I finally replace them. Must be easily over £1000 on that now. Then the electric kit was £1500. Then £230 for the guitar (a present though), and I think £130 for the amp. Damn music is expensive.

And you might be interested to see my instruments.

I've played drums since 2005 and guitar since 2007 (I think). I was interested in it but it was actually Fierce Link who persuaded me to go ahead and get drum lessons. Play a bit of guitar on the side. Although this is far from perfect here is a quick example of me drumming and playing guitar. Please note it's someone else playing the solo :P Also play drums in this band but the drumming on those isn't excellent either! Recording is stressful I tell you! :P

New Watain is a step up from the last album imo.

Not so much for me, but my ex lol. I was round hers, her mum was downstairs in the living room, which is right below my exs bedroom. So yeah we had some sex, then afterwards went downstairs to use the telephone. Then her mum said to her, "Was that Sprinkles running on her wheel?" (sprinkles is her pet hamster). "What?", "All that noise, was that Sprinkles? ;)" My girlfriend was mortified. I just kinda ignored it and got on with my phone call.

Here's some for nostalgia fans. When Laikmosh posted that news clip from when he caused trouble by putting washing up powder in some big fountain and it got on Mexican news. And my favourite, when we destroyed the Sci-Fi forums after Rokhed00 got banned from there for having an opinion

Yeah that was Spieluhr. Man he was seriously funny, had some ace convos with him years back. Well I remember everyone mentioned in this thread. It's crazy to think how long this place has been around. The move to the new board was all the way back in 2005! I'd never had thought that cos it seemed like we were on xsorbit for aaages!

I saw him with Heaven & Hell at Hellfest and Wacken last year, and he was an exceptional singer even in a live environment, even at 67. Although 67 is pretty young for someone who's immortal!

One of the greatest singers ever has died.

Right-o chaps. Well, they sent me a replacement. Although I have my suspicions as it looked a bit dusty for a new card. However, whilst usable there are still problems. Some pixels like to flicker a bit, some like to go green. Some are random, some are the same ones each time. I emailed them and they said it was the monitor, but i've tried it on a different monitor and the same thing happens. The worst time this happens is at the windows start-up screen. Hmm...?

ATI Radeon HD 4800 PCI Running Windows 7 Everything was smashing, but then unusual things started to happen. For instance, if I right-clicked, the options in the right-click menu would all turn black when I moused over them, or they would be purple. Strange. Then things got worse. Sometimes I would boot up and my screen look like this: But then I would restart the computer and it would usually be fine. Now, that is what I get all the time. Then after maybe a minute the screen turns to this: I don't know a lot about computers but this is what I have tried already: I removed the graphics card so that I could boot up using the onboard graphics. Now that I could actually read the screen I uninstalled all the ATI stuff from the add/remove programs. Then I downloaded the latest driver/catalyst control center and installed that. I put the graphics card back in and turned the pc on. Things looked good, until the desktop loaded and it was still unresolved. Strangely though the start-up screens were ok. Anyone able to help? Thanks.
