There's nothing automatically wrong with it as per sae, especially given that the whole point of video games is to waste time, but I can't help but feel gamerscores really are stretching the time-wasting genre to it's absolute limits. As a case in point, witnessing someone juggeling live poultry is something, I think, would be worth trading even the highest gamerscores in for.

Pretty much sums it up.

No he's not. The Dalai Lama has always preached the Budhist middle way of peaceful negotiation, rather then put up a violent resistance to the Chinese occupation of Tibet. These protests are not unprecidented in the region, and are the result of native Tibetians becoming frustrated with the lack of progress made with the middle way policy. It's worth pointing out the the Dalai Lama has frquently made calls to the Tibetian people not to cause unrest, but they can't hear him because of the strict control the Chinese state has over it's news media.

I know what you mean. Mining will get you by until you're on your feet. After that, you're simply going to have to get with other players to get anywhere. There's money in mining, but all the good stuff is in dangerous space. Bring guns. Big ones. Attached to something even bigger.

I used to play EVE, but I stopped as I didn't really have the time for full MMO's in genereal. Fantastic game though. See the previous page for my impressions. Now's a good time to try Eve, they've since bolted on a new (optional) graphics engine. FYI: If you try it on Steam there's a 21-day trial.

I'm just genereally dissapointed at the lack of progress made on human rights in China by the Chinese government. Promises were made by China, and it was on this basis that they earned the right to host the Olympics.

Gah. I've been trying to write stuff, but I've got such taerrible writers block right now. It's like being in a Turkish prison, and nobody will rape you, no matter how much you beg.

53M? It would take me eight months to accumulate that kind of moolah.

That is rather where it tends to all fall down. Maybe they should give it to Bioware or something, see what they can do.

Police Story Includes a scene were Jackie takes a shower. Great thighs. Jackie Body Factor: 5 Meals on Wheels Includes a scene where Jackie has an intense and very sweaty morning workout with his flatmate before both donning a T-shirt. Fantastic abs. Jackie Body Factor: 8 Miracles Jackie keeps modest in a beautiful silk suit and trilby. He sure can use his hands though. Jackie Body Factor: 2 Revenge of the Dragon Includes a scene where Jackie strips to his waste and pulls 200kg of flour around while sweating like a beast. Incredible shoulder muscles. Jackie Body Factor: 8 The Accidental Spy Includes a scene where Jackie runs butt naked through the streets of Istanbul. Amazing ass. Jackie Body: 9 I would go gay for Jackie Chan. And you would too.

Would I be chancing my arm too much if I were to say that I do occasionally detect the faint, oily wiff of the Tofosi coming frrom this thread?

Shitty-Sonic-Sidekick sweepstakes anyone? My money is on Gemerald the Echinda. Or something equally balls. Martinist is predicting Sydney the Anthromomophoric Hamster. He's also pointed out that all new hedgehog character's names start with "s". So it'll probably be "Shite the Hedgehog" or something.

Everything's just a rumour until I see it on my TV screen. Richard Hammond isn't even an F1 fan is he?

Ok, just to prise it out of the HWYD thread: Windfarms. They've been out and about causing arguments again. Some think they're a nescerry piece of green energy technology, while others reckon they're an impractical eyesore. What do you think? Personally, I think they are a nescerry piece, but only a piece, of the green energy puzzle. Obviously they're never going to produce all the energy we need by themselves, but it'd still be foolish not to use them where possible (and resonable, I might add). I'd like to see more examples of other green energy tech being researched and built. Wave generators, for example.

Jesus. A win finally but 2 goals from 11 chances is poor. The new boy is doing well though.

That would be one of mine.

Can't have been though, ITV terminated their own contract two years early. They claim it was a "commercial decision" but with the resurgence if F1s popularity, especially in Britain, it just doesn't make "commecial" sense on the face of things. MPs are already questioning exactly how much the BBC actually coughed up for it.
