  1. If there's an XBO.5 and the PS4K at E3 then I see why Nintendo aren't showing the NX. The news on NX would get diluted along with these consoles (it's still stupid of them). They absolutely MUST have a strictly NX reveal event now though.
  2. They need to let these version pass, don't get them. Start with the iterations next year. They need to make sure they don't get half-hearted and late ports. They want on par releases. I know there's a huge danger that brings in pissing off the publishers as it means they'll not get any revenue from those games, but I feel it'd be better for them all in the long-run.
  3. That's the only thing I can think of which would make sense to me.
  4. Because they have to try and sell as many WiiU's and 3DS's as they can. That's the only reason why!
  5. So I've made a couple adjustments to the above based on the news we got today. What I hope for now, is as follows: They have Zelda as hands-on at E3, albeit the WiiU version, but they will also show game-trailers for NX games in an E3 Direct... there's not going to be a stage presentation now the NX won't be there. At the end of the Direct they will announce an event towards the end of the year that's going to be strictly an NX only event, so all the focus will be on that with no other distractions at all. At this event there will be hands-on demos of the games that got trailers at E3 as well as an announcement trailer for the NX 3D Mario game, it'll be said that you can expect a hands-on of that game at next years E3. Release will come in March, my prediction quoted above, and then at E3 next year the Mario that will be there will be announced as the big holiday title for that year. Giving the console another big push. Anyone else have any thoughts/changes on their predictions?
  6. I reckon it'll come out with Zelda and a few other titles, some possibly being the rumoured MK8 and Smash ports, then for the Christmas period next year the next big 3D Mario will be released, as a bundle too, to give it the big shove they'll have missed out on this year.
  7. This is the sad fact of the matter. The WiiU needs to be put to bed asap. There's no point at all wasting big games on it when they could give the NX a push.
  8. I guess it all depends how much gameplay they were to show. They could do cinematic trailers and include gameplay that appears to be straightforward enough... just wet the appetite a bit for NX, get at least a little hype going for it, then announce the date the NX event will be..? I dunno, I just think it's utterly insane for them to go into the biggest event in the industry with just one hands-on game and having nothing for NX. Can't they really be that stupid?! Even for Nintendo that's daft.
  9. I hope it returns, God knows that without E3 the NX will need it. I don't think Nintendo have done that as a result of the PS4K, for two reasons: 1. They've never really cared what the others are doing and won't go for the "red ocean" strategy. 2. They are not business-savvy enough to do it for this reason.
  10. The only reason I can think for Zelda being the only hands-on title is that they'll be showing NX game trailers (but as we know, not the system itself) yet they want you to play these games hands-on so you "get" them and the NX isn't quite ready for hands-on. So they'll throw their own event when the NX and these games are ready for a hands-on, roughly toward the end of the year. The hands-on and full details of the NX will build the hype for release. I hope.
  11. Exactamundo! What the hell are they doing?! The only thing I can think is that Zelda is the only hands-on title but they'll be showing NX game trailers, but not the system itself. They'll want you to play these games hands-on so you "get" them and NX isn't quite ready for hands-on. So they'll throw their own event when the NX and these games are ready for a hands-on, roughly toward the end of the year. The hands-on and full details of the NX will build the hype for release. I hope.
  12. They asked for it...
  13. My 2016 gaming schedule will now likely consist of absolutely zero Nintendo home console gaming!
  14. Hahaha! If it's released on NX they might!
  15. With there being no NX presence at E3 and the release being in March, and if it's a home console, I can only see it being successful if: It's a hybrid. They hold a dedicated event for it, similar to the Spaceworld's of old but entirely to do with the NX and its software only (no WiiU/3DS stuff at all). They then put ALL of their marketing budget toward the NX.
  16. I'm looking forward to reactions from the latest Ninty news in the next video.
  17. I could get myself a WiiU backlog, it's just that the games aren't good enough for me to pick up and so the backlog I'd have just isn't worth it.
  18. I can't wait to see Kyle's reactions to this Nintendo news. [tweet]725253584661581824[/tweet]
  19. If it has CoD4 Multiplayer, it's a certainty that I'll buy it!
  20. The Miitomo-generated daily pic sums this news up perfectly for me...
  21. I'm just dumbfounded that Nintendo are rocking up to E3, of all places, with one game for a long-dead console. What a move of sheer idiocy!
  22. Nintendo's suicide confirmed if so! Deary me, what on earth are they thinking?!
  23. @Dcubed. I think he was talking about home console Zelda games... and Hyrule Warriors is NOT one of them!
  24. Well, my expectations and hype for Nintendo's E3 has died this morning.
