It is an utterly bollocks thing to do from Sony, who claim to be "For the players".

If you're happy with so few new IP, well done you.

Ubisoft had the best showing overall. Microsoft second, followed closely by Sony, then not so closely by Nintendo, who in turn were followed by EA & Bethesda together for the worst showing.

Mario looks amazing. Xenoblade 2 looks good. Great that Metroid Prime 4 was announced, totally deflated that it was just a "now being developed". Don't like Rocket League but very good that it's cross-platform! Everything else is just rehashing WiiU games... so pretty fooking awful really. The lack of Waverace, F-Zero, 1080, Battalion Wars or any new IP is disgusting. Lazy going from Nintendo overall, very, very lazy!

I started to get SO damn excited seeing this... then nothing followed but the "now in development"... Fuck me, that's not an announcement. It's ages away if they've no gameplay or trailer to show... what a downer!

To be honest, this game isn't for me, I got it free on PS4 and deleted it very soon after. Great for Nintendo that it will have cross-platform network play!

I forgot about this game, it was fantastic! That and Tiger Woods Wii are amongst the best sports game and best motion control games I've ever played... TW especially!

With this gen it feels like Capcom can finally create the monsters how they've truly envisioned. They move much more organically and swiftly and so the gameplay must be updated too. As long as they ensure the weapon classes greatly effect how you play then I'm so game for this! Announcement of show so far for me! One thing I really do hope for in this is cross-platform play! That would be the dream!!!

Switch will not get the vast majority of 3rd Party games... it's just like HoT says!

Let's face it, this looks amazeballs.

I wanted to see a, built from the ground up for Switch, Monster Hunter but can't see that happening now. I also want to see more of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and I'd like to see a Waverace and a 3D Metroid (a 2D one would feel too much of a throwback, plus there's a good few games of this ilk on Switch already).

The Sony presser was very much how I expect the Nintendo one to be. Show lots of what we already know and not many new things. They need to get the balance right.

...does the multiplayer in this have cross-platform play? I saw a tweet suggesting it did but don't recall hearing that.

This is 2D, they're 3D... this looks better for sure.
