Cracking film. Discussion point: one of my friends and I were debating whether Summer had done anything wrong the way she acted. I think she was messing Tom around and should have been aware of his feelings. She thinks it's easy to get in too deep and not realize such things and it wasn't her fault. Thoughts?

Yeah true, so glad I joined the paper, it is rather ace... plus I always seem to be online when the editors us writers email asking people if they want tickets / interviews, it's very handy.

I interviewed Wild Beasts Yesterday ^^ The guitarist / co-vocalist anyway. He was rather lovely. I could have interviewed Dev of Lightspeed Champion / Test Icicles fame instead though. meh.

Well the worst thing about it was that there was only one save slot, and if you saved and didn't leave enough to run to a point on the map in a set time then you'd effectively have to start the entire game over. It provoked massive shouts of 'fuuucccckkkkk!!!'. -

That's definitely true. Although one of my favorite moments in the game was when i was irritated by one of them for continually running into a wall, so i attacked him to try and move him, only to accidentally sledgehammer his skull, which apparently causes instant death. I loled. The save system's bearable once you get the hang of it, and the survivors would only be massively irritating if they were compulsory, which luckily they ain't. -

Dead Rising Awesome. It could have had the most clunky controls, irritating save system, crap bosses and be generally frustrating and it would still kick ass from the concept. Oh wait! 9 / 10 -
Id take LCD Soundsystem, Jay Z, She & Him, Passion pit, Muse, Hot Chip, MGMT, Gorillaz, Mew, Sia, Miike Snow, Pheonix, the Big Pink and o The XX Speaking of whom I dragged myself down to the union to get myself a ticket for them at the union next month and they'd sold out. The fucking XX, for £7. Why the fuck did I not buy earlier. What is wrong with me.

It's in... Coachella, which irritatingly is somewhere in California. There I was thinking the US didn't have good music festivals and everything. But yeah. Bit good eent et. It seems like one day at Coachella > an entire other festival.

I'll probably finish it seeings as I paid for the boxset and all, maybe I'll learn to love. The Wire is so good. And funnier than I remember the first season being. Dominic West - best drunk actor ever.

I used to love it when I went clubbing and they put on an Oasis track, until I went clubbing more than once every blue moon and realised that they always play the same Oasis track and it gets incredibly tedious. Theyre other stuff is ok, decidedly unexciting and such.

Can someone explain to me why Arrested Development is meant to be so great? I have the first boxset, watched like 5 episodes, I thought I loved it but now I'm finding the characters painfully overblown (particularly the bald actor and I think it's Buster) and generally not that amusing. I feel I'm missing something. Does it improve or is it just lost on me? Start s2 of The Wire which is more brilliant than I remembered it being. Subtitles helped, and generally I think I will soon be hooked.

Has to be intentional, both about friendship (at least to a degree) innit. Yeah, I know it gets tired only where are your friends tonight? / Oh yeah you're the best damn friend that I'll ever have Good spot in any case.. my friend keeps banging on about how much better Chunk of Change is to Manners, I should listen. In other news - speaking of LCD Soundsystem - touring! Tickets on sale Friday. I must have. I need. In other other news - new Four Tet album streaming on DiS - utterly brilliant

Yeah nah it's nice that they're quite small and cult. The kind of band where on the very rare occasion you meet someone who knows of them they tend to adore them and you're instantly BFFs. Feel it in my Bones is surprisingly good, one of the only Tiesto things I've ever liked.

Speaking of depressing vs uplifting, I watched Little Miss Sunshine for the first time the other day. It was much less feel good and frothy than I was expecting, weird as and depressing at times. But good. Big wtf - how the hell does Paul Danno go from playing a 16 year old in this to playing at 28 year old in Gigantic, whilst fitting both parts perfectly, in the space of only 2 years? It's utterly, utterly insane. O and he was awesome when he breaks down in this. Best scream I've ever heard. Anyhow, back to the film, it was good, the pageant (sp?) was genuinely creepy to watch. Top stuff. 8.5 / 10 I need to watch The Road. Preferably at the cinema as well. Though for some reason I'm currently acquiring 17 Again. I have no idea what's why / wrong with me.
