  1. To be fair, it's not like it's even possible to have a Kate-centric episode that isn't totally shit. I'm hoping they're just planning on getting the crap out of the way in time for the last ten or so. Still, some interesting enough bits and bobs in there.
  2. I love it. It's like he's patting it patronizingly on the head. Had a photoey day out yday
  3. This is true. Which baffles me - surely working on Lost is one of the most sought out acting jobs ever... on location Hawaii, probably pretty nice pay, high profile show. Madness. I actually thought he was turning into a bit of a dull character anyway tbh - he started off fantastic but then all the religious shit was incredibly boring...
  4. Zack and Miri make a Porno - 6.5 17 Again - 6 Away we Go - 8 Fanboys - 6.5 That is all.
  5. The thing is that by Skins standards that was actually really good
  6. 4 years? But... you're a student!! I'm more of a fan of sainsuburies basics though. 19p!!!! I made an egg fried rice earlier which, not gonna lie, was pretty stunning. Lacking a photo though. I might upload one I took earlier of a flatmates cup of tea with mould growing on it. A little disguisting.
  7. I loled That's fair enough. I think the last episodes of Lost might actually be considered the biggest / most potentially irritating spoilers ever. I can't think of anything bigger. But more to the point, what's with the lack of actual episode talk! I thought it was all rather exciting, though
  8. Yeah, I'm bullshitting dw
  9. Well, I was pretty shocked when they brought back the polar bear and it killed and devoured fLocke... and then dharma shark having a fight with Ben and Ben winning. Good stuff. I don't really know where to start anyhow. The usual mix of stupid shit and interesting stuff. I don't think I'd still be watching if the ending wasn't on the horizon.
  10. Judging by past years the DVDs will only be out by christmas, and to be honest, fuck if I'm gonna avoid the internet for spoilers until then. Plus this way I can feel like I'm getting one up on Rupert Merdoch, which is always a good thing
  11. Maybe because we don't have Sky?
  12. Me too plz. I swear it'll only finishing airing in america at about 5am GMT though, so how does that work exactly?
  13. Especially what with the executives saying they plan to pretty much hide for a while after the finale. Owell, just as long as the story itself ends satisfyingly, I can deal with not knowing bits and bobs. Also, what is it with TV show posters and the last supper?
  14. (Y) Writing for student newspapers ftw Current love: Rediscovery of Art Brut DC comics and chocolate milkshake Some things will always be great DC comics and chocolate milkshake Even though I'm 28 DC comics and chocolate milkshake I guess I'm just developing late DC comics and chocolate milkshake I never got over that amazing taste I'm in love with a girl in my comic shop She's a girl who likes comics; She probably gets that a lot
  15. The first 5 minutes of season 6 are online / youtubes / ect. So tempting to watch. OMGOSH 3 DAYS LEFT! I'm close to considering staying up all night to watch. Although I've worked out the episode is probably only out about 5am? Amirite? Not really worth it.
  16. Ahh Skins, what a load of shit. Highly disappointing too, given a facebook 'friend' who went to the premier has been bigging it up all week in her statuses. I think perhaps they were trying to go for a kind of Bret Easton Ellis Less than Zero esque feel, what with the emotionless sex, the drugs, the nihilism and the lack of... well, emotion, but it just ended up being incredibly dull. Though to be fair Thomas was always my least favorite character of the new bunch (alongside Pandora). Not enough of the group as opposed to just one character too. 4 / 10 The first couple of seasons pretty fantastic. It's easy to hear conflicting things because the episodes themselves fluctuate so much in quality, probably the most of any show I've watched. The soundtrack's always worth watching for though, if nothing else, very eclectic. Do it. I keep saying this but for me season 2 takes it to another level. I had trouble getting through the first. Now I'm beyond fucking hooked.
  17. 1 - that picture's awesome 2 - cmd+shift+3 and drag the part of the screen you want to screenshot, et viola, it will be on the desktop EDIT: Too slow, apparently
  18. Gewd theme. I love / hate how many of everyone's profile pictures I recognise form them having posted them on here previously.
  19. Adolescence and coming of age set against the politics of 70s Britian, IRA bombings, class conflict and union strikes et all. Patchy in places, but on the the whole and immensely enjoyable read. Generally found Benjamin's character to be slightly irritating and naive, and the adults stories tended to be less interesting. But it all felt brilliantly of it's time, and I even learned a bit about politics in the 70s... one of the best novels I have read about growing up. 8.5 / 10
  20. Fo sho, definitely the first two. When I first watched it a couple months ago I had quite the OMGITSPANIC moment and reverted to my teens.* And a couple of the others are from Chuck Palahnuik novels... or at least the lyrics are, I forget. Anyhoo, old-skool Panic! are way underrated. Best pure pop album of the decade imo, way too fun. (I like to repress the follow up album) I still listen on occasion. *Well, younger teens anyway
  21. Haha yeh true. I will make a mental note to check out the album when it comes out. Discussion Point: best song titles of all time? I'm not talking stupid things like 'Gazing at Me Through Tears of Urine' by Gnaw their Tounges off. I propose Love Will Tear Us Apart
  22. How the fuck is this so good? Some guy told me a while ago that Sia was writing for CA these days. Perhaps why. Butyeah.
  23. I agree. That is all. Yeah, watching a film 'blind' is nearly always a far better experience than having read up on it. Nonetheless, the concept of a 'spoiler' can be pretty interesting in itself - knowing, or thinking you know the outcome of a film can make you watch in totally different and interesting ways. It's particularly good when you think you've been spoiled and then you work out that either the event in question isn't as big a plot point as you thought, or if it occurs and plays out in a different way than you were expecting. Say for instance you knew a character dies, but you didn't know how. Potentially it removes the element of surprise, but also potentially it adds an entirely new dynamic to the viewing. That said, there are some spoilers that you just never want. Like the Fight Club spoiler. Or the Usual Suspects spoiler. And It's far too easy to be spoiled in these days of internet. Edit: as for 500DoS, Summer being a bitch is both arguable and not a spoiler - you find out that you could view her as such about 5 minutes into the film.
