  1. I read earlier today that he's rumored to be directing Philip Reeve's Mortal Engines quadrilogy. Potentially utterly fantastic.
  2. Completely and utterfly fucking brilliant. Easily the most fleshed out, and stunningly shot dystopia I've ever seen. Also quite probably the best British film I've seen. And the tracking shots blew me. 10
  3. Thought you meant For a Dream for a split second there, nearly had to unleash hell on yo ass. -- Watched a bit of Hitchikers Guide the other day. Zooey Desh, Martin Freeman and Sam Rockwell? Surely the best cast ever. I actually quite like it in any case.
  4. Via a tweet from Damon Lindleoff, clearly the best blog ever http://neverseenlost.wordpress.com/ Epic.
  5. Urgh, the amount of times they've banged on about that in English lectures kills me. I may aswell be doing a degree on the Uncanny. Only I would fail it. In other news, I managed to get to a 9oclock lecture this morning. So proud.
  6. So pissed off. My fuck up of a friend promised he'd get us tickets (I'd registered and given him reg + post code) as I was in a seminar at uni, and I had another friend going who also said she'd get me mine just in case. The first one was 'too hungover' and the second couldn't work out the website. Idiots. Angry.
  7. Was it really though?
  8. I assume the ones where you can buy like 6 from sainsburies premade and you heat them. Which actually aren't bad but aren't the same as the pancake flipping / mixing experience. Me and my friend did a ready steady cook esque pancake making sesh. She made me one with marshmellows, it was sickly and amazing.
  9. I feel sorry for you. I don't think I could live without mine. Photo, complete with ultra snazzy 3D glasses that don't work and make the face look a weird shape.
  10. HAPPY PANCAKE DAY EVERYONE!! I plan to make a plehorer of ham and cheese, followed soon after by white chocolate, maybe lemon, and them more ham and cheese for tea. Excited.
  11. Try - Four Tet - Hands Black Heroes - Ratatat Untitled 3 - Sigur Ros And probably more. Come back to me.
  12. My hipster friend was slagging her off for going all Karen O. Which is a fair point... jury's still out for me on this. But your name is 'Lostprophetpunk', therefore you're legally not allowed to listen to good music I'm afraid.
  13. I was talking to one of my female friends about yesterday - she has a boyfriend and was like 'haha yeah we just both totally forgot it was valentines day! Weird huh!' There is utterly no way that she forgot it was valantines day. I died a little bit inside. Mine was okay, spent most of the time not realising it was valantines day, then went for a drink and hung with friends. Unlike most of everyone at uni, for which Valentines day seems to be (yet another) reason to get fucked
  14. Yeaah, I Feel Better is full of win. As is Alley Cats. Cracking album - and I'm seeing them on tuesday ^^
  15. Whoever recomended Digifucker a while ago (I suspect Pajchair may have been involved) Then thank you. It is bliss. And digifuckher? And did you stick things up her? And did she love it?
  16. Haaha, that's hilarious Agreed though, pancake day is pretty special! I have skillfully managed to avoid ever having a gf for actual Valantines day. In past years we had a tradition of playing golf instead... funtimez This year me and my friend's student radio show falls on the day so we're doing love songs vs breakup songs, should be fun
  17. Screenwipe was spectacular this week 'Or young and sexy Or gray and boring Or Scottish and Boring' 'even when politicians merely try and drum up support they come across as a weird cult' Brillz Skins was surprisingly good and everything. Possibly because Cook can actually act. Goodo.
  18. Nice wan. Just registered for mine. Quite glad it's been kept quiet-ish, as to lessen people who only know Killing in the Name going... -- In other news, surprisingly lack of response to the news that Warner Music are pulling out of Spotify. Beginning of the end of the streaming dream and all that...!
  19. Lies. 10char
  20. What's perhaps more of a shame is that I never read the book after watching the film. Sounds like I should read it anyway.. I am a bit of a Hornby fan and all. Up in the Air, on the other hand, was so good that I bought the book. I thought that
  21. Firstly, haha when I saw that Tweet pre-episode I knew I was in for a filler ep.
  22. Do it, if only to eat the majority of the pancakes yourself. The christians didn't even try to convert me or anything. And haha yeah so I see! Good work
  23. - NME tour was rather good, Big Pink were spectacular though I got there too late. Velvet is still my favorite song of yesteryear, ever. Bombay Bicycle Club and Maccabees were both good too, though neither are bands that im massively in love with and Macs singer is a talented whistler. - Miike Snow at union the other night were also fantastic. Like goldfrapp having sex with Kasabian in a very noisy club and it somehow making something spectacular. Too short a set though - Dunno if people have heard the news but one of the 4 major record companies are withdrawing from streaming services. The beginning of the end for Spotify? 'Record label Warner Music has said it will stop licensing its songs to free music streaming services.'
  24. Alas nah, close by, I'm up in leeds. One of the only green bits I've found..
  25. ^Me, with hot midriff action. Friend I can't believe how textbook this is... Christians delivering pancakes free to people who ask for one via text. Victoria is my flatmate, and they deliver by flat number.
