I did this today for my opening game and still got a 4 - 1 hammering. This season is going to totally suck for me, damn and blast. Also I'm away for a month come september, long term development project is going to suffer... Been away for the weekend so just caught up with the thread - @Haden 's first post is stunning. It's true, this was totally my fault, haven't been on the forums for a couple days and totally didn't know the matches were today the fans are gutted after Winston's heroic cup run last year... damn! The Winston DV report Pretty decent, though I've now got a 20-5 forward - he has some brilliant sq's but 20-5 is poor in my book. Probably will keep him around, might get a double jump next season if I'm lucky and he'll be back on course... Apart from that I'm very happy, though I'll be needing to invest in another decent old defender to survive in the elite league...

I don't know, from what I've gathered of his time at Porto Spurs are potentially a much better fit to his playing style than Chelsea were, and with a generally young-ish squad I don't think there'll be as much of a need for a 'new era' or any major changes in the team. Can't see too much potential for ego clashes from the senior players (maybe Gallas, VDV at a push?) either, which will help. I'd imagine the Spurs board will be willing to take their time, as long as they don't stray from the top four.. The only worry is that with Chelsea, Newcastle and Liverpool all potentially starting the season really strongly, he'll need a good start to stay in the running for a champions league spot. I'll be interested to see if he tries to go for the UEFA cup with Spurs - considering winning it was one of his big coaching achievements, but I don't think anyone in England could care less about it.. Exciting time to be a Spurs fan in any case, rumoured to be in the market for a few big buys this summer... Also, as a ginger Spurs fan I'm glad they've gone for another of my kind at the helm, haha. How does everyone think Arsenal will fair next season without the goal machine, in other news?

AVB's seemingly off to Spurs... Not sure what to think. I'm sure he'll be a better fit at Spurs than he was at chelsea but still... Then again, seems like they should be holding on to Modric this way, and from that article seems like they might be making some buys this summer - promising..

Yeah, no idea what I did wrong there. Really poor season for me so far after a strong cup run. Congrats in any case. Getting a bit bored of my team at the moment. Few good but not great 28-30yr olds and a couple of good teenagers but nothing much in the middle. Little bit England 2012 international squad for my liking. Going to blood the teens all season, wouldn't mind being in the lower next season.

Urgh, forgot to set my tactics, only one sub so had my keeper come on when my star midfielder mid-game. brilliant. Annoying, could have got a result there.

Scotty Parker's been pretty guilty of that lately, particularly in the last few games for Spurs. Surprised he hasn't got himself sent off lately. Thought England weren't too bad today. Really solid back line in any case. Ox doesn't look quite ready to me, though I think he'll do alright as a impact sub. Defoe had a pretty good game at the end, definitely an option upfront..
